My most memorable experience of my trip was this sightseeing experience through the eyes of my rickshaw Issy. He was very knowledgeable, funny, enthusiastic and spoke English really well. I definitely recommend this tour to future Tokyo visitors.

Thank you very much for choosing Ebisuya Rickshaw tour explore the Asakusa area of Tokyo.
Though exploring the area on foot on your own will for sure be an experience in itself as the neighbourhood is as history and traditional as it is quirky.
But with a rickshaw guide who knows the area like the back of his hand, you will be able to experience it from a completely different view point. There are so many interesting facts and details at every corner of this town that are no where written in guidebooks, that many locals don't even know about but when you know it, it will enrich your understanding of Asakusa and appreciation of the culture of this part of Tokyo.
We hope the memories you made will last for a long time.

Kohei Yamaguchi truly enlightened me with the adventure through the side streets and Shinto Shrines of Asakusa. His knowledge and thoroughness of the information is admirable. I appreciate his teachings on the subject. A fun and a learning experience.

With a district so rich in history and culture, our guides train for a few weeks to not only master the art of manoeuvring the rickshaw safely but they also sit down for hours to study the history of Asakusa and to share not only the relevant information but also the insider stories and anecdotes.

Top notch! Guides were hilarious and engaging, they accommodated where we wanted to go even though it was out of the way (it did increase the tour time and the cost slightly, but they advised us ahead of time and we agreed. No surprises. And we were more than happy with the tour we got!) we were a party of 6 (4 kids aged 15,13,9,6) so they arranged 3 rickshaws. We were quite the parade! Guides were amazing and even sang! Great service!

Though rainy days are not ideal days for sightseeing, when on the rickshaw you can still see the area in absolute comfort all while keeping your shoes and feet completely dry.

It was a rainy day in Tokyo but our rickshaw guides (Masa, Kate, Kazu) were fabulous! They were very pleasant and knowledgeable regarding the history of Asakusa. It was a fun, learning experience.

Ebisuya Rickshaw operates rain or shine! With the annual rainy season we are used to the weather!
The rickshaw has a big roof and we will provide waterproof covers so you will stay dry and comfortable throughout the tour and the bright personalities of our guides will automatically brighten up the gloomy day.
Come and visit us again some day, hopefully it will be sunny then!

Our tour guides were amazing! I forgot their names, but they were super nice and friendly. Love their energy and positive attitudes! Highly recommend this tour as you get to see a part of town without having to walk and figure your own way around.

Mum & niece LOVED this experience. Although they felt sorry for their guide who was smaller in frame than either of them, they loved the little tour they had with him & would highly recommend this & their guide (pictured) if anyone wanted to experience this in Asakusa. Thank you!!

Guchi was our rickshaw man and he was absolutely amazing! He was fun, knowledgeable, super friendly and good looking too!
He engaged with us and my almost 4 yr old son. Brought us around and took great pictures

Our family (with kids aged 3 and 5) had the pleasure of experiencing a rickshaw ride with Ebisuya n Asakusa with Taku. It was an absolute delight. Taku was nothing short of amazing. He had an incredible ability to connect with my two young kids, and had them laughing throughout the entire ride. They quickly fell in love with Taku and are still talking about him a month later! It was a genuine, fun and truly amazing experience. I highly recommend Ebisuya and Taku for a memorable experience in Tokyo.

We (and our guide Taku) are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed the tour and overall experience.
Though all our guides receive the same training they all bring their unique personality to the rickshaw ride and therefore make it a unique experience. While Asakusa has a rich history which may be fascinating for adults, there are also many sights and stories the guide can share to keep all participants of the tour interested.

And when they take pictures they have to lower the rickshaw and then raise it afterwards. It may be difficult for pregnant women or be uncomfortable.

I wouldn’t put a toddler onto a rickshaw with 2 adults
There’s not enough space
I suggest you take the little one yourself
Then maybe leave her / him to be minded by a family member whilst you and your husband take a ride

You can definitely pick one up on the street however, to make sure you get availability when you want at a time you want (especially if you want an English driver) I would book if you can! We did.
