We had an amazing day with our driver and tour guide, Sam. It started the night prior when our driver came to our hotel to ensure that we knew him and to arrange a meeting time and place.
We hired a private van tour for my wife and I. They arrived promptly in the morning and brought us to Ankor Wat for the sunrise. Sam showed us the best place to stand and the best pictures to take.
Throughout the day, Sam was a wealth of information! Historic, theologic and otherwise. He knew so much about the significance of every aspect of carvings, descriptions, orientation and building methods and the reasoning behind all of it.
We followed that by visiting 3 more temples and Sam had an equal amount of knowledge about those as well. Sam and the driver were courteous and allowed us to direct the day, going at our pace. They both made this a trip to remember!

I had the most amazing time in Siem Reap. Seyha and his team made sure that I was taken cared of. He is always on time and very hospitable. After each temple visit in the heat, he would turn on the car AC before I hop in with fresh towels ready for welcome. As a solo traveler, I felt safe and most of all - I ticked every sites on my bucket list.

We took the Angkor Wat Sunrise Private Tour with Seiha and tour guide Bun Chhoun. There were 3 of us and were picked up promptly at 4:45am from our hotel. I bought the tickets online couple of days before and saved some time to stop and buy the tickets at the office. You just show the pass on your phone. Chhoun took us to one of the temples to sit comfortably and admire the sunrise over Angkor Wat. The sunrise at the Angkor Wat temple was amazing and should not be missed. Chhoun's funny and detailed explanation of the temple helped us to appreciate the temples even more. We visited couple of more temples including Bayon and Ta Prohm. Seiha provided us with icy cold tower, ice cold water and air conditioned car between visits. Chhoun knew all the goods spots for photos and took many family pictures. Overall a very enjoyable and awesome Angkor experience with the Seiha and Chhoun.

Our day trip with Seiha was really good, we were picked up on time, the vehicle was clean and comfortable.
Seiha is a very safe driver, especially on the bumpy roads, we saw some amazing sights and would recommend Seiha for any tours or transportation.

What an amazing day we had exploring the temples at and around Ankor Wat with Ankor Wat Driver Private Tours!! This may be our only time ever coming to Siem Reap, so we decided to splurge to truly immerse ourselves in the experience, and it was worth every penny!! For about $100USD, we hired Sorphorn and Mr Seiha to pick us up before dawn at our hotel and drive us in their air conditioned vehicle (which was 100% necessary for us to avoid heat exhaustion!!). They also provided us with ice cold waters along the way and cool face clothes in between temples. Exactly what we were needing (even though we didn’t know that when we booked the trip)!!
I appreciated the private tour so we could go at our own pace and I could take time for as many pictures as I wanted, as I am an artist and photography is my pastime. Sorphorn was very patient with us along the way and knew ALL of the good photo spots to go to. That ALONE was worth the cost of the tour!! And he also took some really great photos of the two of us on site that I will treasure forever.
If you are visiting Siem Reap and wanting a private, comfortable tour of Ankor Wat, give these guys a call. We were able to book with them with less than 24 hour notice, but I would recommend contacting them in advance to secure your timeframe JIC.
Other recommendations for the trip are to bring a power bank for your phone, because my phone was close to dead by the time we finished at Ankor Wat (started with a full battery when we left in the morning) and we still had multiple temples to visit.
Wear sturdy shoes as the ground is uneven and there are many steps and different types of terrain.
Also, if you do bring an umbrella to provide yourself with some shade, please be aware of the others around you. I was pegged in the head by another tourist’s umbrella as they were unaware of it’s reach. A better way to shade yourself and keep cool from the sun would be to just wear a hat.

Angkor wat is a beautiful sight, our tour guide and driver were lovely and friendly and very accommodating. Sorphorn, our guide, was lovely and speaks excellent English. Our drive Seyha, was friendly and helpful :) this was a great trip that I would recommend wholeheartedly.

I had the most wonderful experience with Mr Seiha and Sam Chhoeun (Instagram: sammakara69) who took us on a three day tour to Angkor Wat and surrounding temples, Kulen Mountain and we got to swim in the most refreshing waterfall.
Sam was an amazing tour guide who knew so much about Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples. Sam turned up on time every day (early in fact!) and would always be so enthusiastic about the day ahead and the activities we were doing. I felt I learnt so much but also loved the time just walking in and amongst the ancient temple ruins, getting photos (Sam was an amazing photographer) and speaking to Sam about life in Cambodia.
Mr Seiha was a great driver, always making sure we had water, cool towels and made me feel very safe with his driving. He was so friendly and also turned up on time and enthusiastic for the day ahead. The car was always air conditioned and was such a relief to get into after the hot temples.
I couldn’t recommend both Mr Seiha and Sam enough, they made our trip to Siem Reap and Angkor Wat unforgettable.

Sorphon Tuon was our guide and he did an amazing job!He made sure that I stayed as cool as possible(bought me a fan out of his own pocket) and hydrated after nearly fainting.He was so well informed but didn’t overdo it with information so it was the perfect balance. He knew where and when to take a picture of us and had special fotographic skills;)

We had a fantastic time touring Angkor Wat and the surrounding temples with Sorphorn and The driver Seiha. We learned so much about the history of the area and the temples. Angkor Wat was absolutely breathtaking and Sorphorn showed us every spot to get a good view and knew exactly where to take the perfect pictures. We are not is the greatest physical shape and they were very helpful in adapting the tours for us so we could see everything we wanted without getting too exhausted. We absolutely loved it! The driver had cold towels waiting for us after every stop, which we didn’t realize how much we would appreciate in the jungle heat. These folks are great, and handled every curve ball we threw at them.

Exceptional tour guide with Sorphorn and Vanny — highly recommend Angkor Wat private driver and tour

This tour was truly incredible, mostly because of our tour guide Sorphorn, and very reliable driver, Vanny. Sorphorn has been a guide for 16 years, is local to Siem Reap, and a single dad to 2 young boys. Although we woke up at 4:30AM and walked through 90+ F degree weather, he consistently brought high energy. He is incredibly knowledgeable — we learned about the construction of Angkor Wat and it’s surrounding temples, he talked us through the biblical stories engraved on stones at Angkor, and was very willing to answer any and all questions about Cambodian culture and development, even if not directly related to Angkor. When we were getting tired, he made jokes throughout the tour and was very accommodating to changing our schedule based on our group’s energy levels. I could not have asked for a better guide.
I came to this tour with little to no understanding of anything about Angkor Wat, but Sorphorn began the tour with a 15 minute chat about the Cambodian history, beginning from its Kingdom origins. This made different sights on the rest of the tour incredibly engaging.
If you take this tour, please ask for Sorphorn and Vanny! They are both genuine, deeply generous, and exceptionally hard working people. I walked away from this tour with a much better understanding of Cambodia as a whole, not just Angkor Wat.
