Trying to keep the family entertained on a cruise is quite an endeavor but one thing everyone wanted to try was a cooking class. The experience couldn't have been better. We were fortunate that we were the only participants in this class (right before Thanksgiving), so it was a very personal, intimate experience. Afterward, the kids (26 and 25, but still our 'babies') kept saying how it felt like we were at an aunt's house just hanging out. Unfortunately, Adam had to step out for part of the afternoon, but we still were able to sit with him as well as Nicole to finish up the best 'excursion' of our 10-day cruise.
The class itself was very informative and a wonderful class. My wife doesn't tolerate spicy as well as the rest of us but that was no problem--Nicole catered to her needs and adjusted the recipe just for her so that she could enjoy the food with everyone else.
I considered giving a 1-rating because Nicole and Adam are #1, but I just couldn't. They are 5-stars!

Wish I could give this experience 100 stars! Nicole's energy was great, she got everyone involved with the cooking. Very informative, took her time explaining things... the ingredients were amazing! The rum punch was punching!!! I'm cooking soon as I get home lol. Thank you again, BOOK NOW!!!

If you’re looking for a unique experience on your trip to Antigua, try Nicole’s Table. My wife’s a great cook and had a great time, I’m a terrible cook and had a great time. Nicole and her husband make you so welcome in their hillside home that boasts spectacular views of the ocean. You prepare and cook wonderful dishes that I, especially, was shocked at how fabulous flavours emerged from food I normally pass on. Eggplant, pumpkin etc that end up in dishes that are incredibly tasty. The main curry dish put everything over the top.Most enjoyable though was Nicole and Ayana (another chef) that made the whole experience a pleasure to be a part of. Thank you Nicole for a very enjoyable afternoon.

Lol. You're still claiming that you're a terrible cook Paul? Don't believe him anyone... especially Jana... he did a great job helping to make the chicken curry and rotis! That said, thank you for coming and being such a good sport. We loved having the two of you and Adam appreciated your sarcasm. He said it was "Very refreshing!".

I spent a wonderful few hours at one of Nicole's cooking classes, Cooking with Rum. The day was relaxed and really informative and we got to experience lots of hands on cooking, not just watching someone else do it. I learn a lot about Antiguan food. Eating it at the end was however the highlight, it was really delicious and I will be trying to recreate it at home!
Nicole house is beautiful with stunning views out to sea. I highly, highly recommend doing a cooking class with Nicole whether you are enjoying a longer stay on the island on are visiting by cruise ship for the day. You won't be disappointed!

The food was scrumptious. Nicole exemplified patience and her love for food and people was evident. We had Jerk chicken and shrimp kabobs, bread fruit salad, fried sweet plantains and delightful pumpkin fritters. Yummy Yummy Yummy!! The Rum cake was splendid.

I have visited many countries over my lifetime. I was born in Greece and live in the United States. There is something really special that happens from the time you are preparing the meal and the moment you sit down to eat. The differences that makes us strangers start to disappear. Our cultural differences become open doors for celebration. Antigua became more familiar and familial at Nicole's table. The conversation was just as important as the meal. The hospitality was as impressive as the farm to table ingredients. What an honor to be in Nicole's home and taste the best meal we had in Antigua. Thank you , Rita Tsamoutalidis

We booked this class because it was offered within the home of a local family! It was my son & myself who were staying locally as well as ten others from cruise ships in the port. The group was large, but manageable. We all drank rum punch, enjoyed the fabulous views from their back patio, visited, chopped, diced, fried, blended and measured to our hearts desires! We got copies of the recipes to bring home, and Ms. Nicole also accommodated our food allergies. The jerk chicken was fabulous & frying our own plantain chips was a lot of fun. We highly recommend. (The taxi service there and back was about $70 USD plus tip for reference on that portion.)
