Although I don’t respond often to reviews mainly because we are all so busy trying to keep our operation running as smoothly as possible, I thought it necessary to reply to this one to share all the things you conveniently left out of the review. First off, when you made your booking on Viator/Tripadvisor you selected the 3-Hour option (there was no glitch in the reservation). Probably because the 5-hour option was not available (as I know it was not available at the time you made your booking). I sent you a message with your pickup information as we knew your exact location and things work much smoother when we pick you up. Late that night you replied that you would make your own way to the boat explaining you knew where it was cause you saw it that night while in Bridgetown (although you were mistaken and had the wrong boat). In the morning after a quick correction we got that sorted and you came to our dock, checked in and boarded the catamaran. Later on during the cruise I received a call from Larry the Captain to say that your party of 5 people wanted to change to the 5-hour tour. I responded and said it would not be possible as the catering onboard was only for 31 people and there would not be enough. You replied with “we don’t eat much”. That’s not the point. We have 31 people who didn’t book the 3-hour tour and we catered for them. You booked the 3-hour tour and it doesn’t include lunch so there was no catering for your group. If we had accepted the change to satisfy you. I bet you would have been the first in the buffet line, loading up your plate knowing that there was only catering for 31 people and someone at the end of the line may not get their full meal even though they booked correctly from the start (I and the other 31 people onboard would not call that decision “A terrible business decision”). After the Captain or crew explained to you that there was no catering on board for your group and we could not accept the change to the 5-Hour tour you said you will be leaving a negative review if you couldn’t stay on for the 5-hour tour. Well don’t threaten us with reviews when the mistake is on you. That’s like booking a flight to Australia and in the middle of the flight asking the captain to go to New Zealand because you made a mistake on your booking. The threat of leaving a bad review is not going to change the fact that you booked the 3-hour tour or make the catering go from 31 to 36 people to accommodate your group. We operated the tour exactly how it operates every day. You shouldn’t be angry at us for your mistake. Sometimes we have people cancel or no show in the morning after catering has been arranged. If that was the case we would have had extra food onboard but it was not the case that day. With regards to your comment “Larry dumped us off the boat on a beach very far north of Bridgetown as thought we were immigrants being dumped on the shore line.” The 3-hour tour finishes in Holetown unless sea conditions don’t allow for the beach landing; then another location is used on those very few days. This was all explained to you before you boarded the boat and you still went ahead, so that was no surprise to you. The beach drop off is actually a highlight to some passengers, because it can reduce their travel time back to their accommodation which would have been the case for you had you not cancelled your pick up and drove to our location. Our whole team works very hard every day to deliver excellent customer service, and to have you threaten us with a bad review and then misrepresent what in fact happened merits this response.
