smooth ride to st barts. did not feel sick. they drop you off and pick you up. had the best day in st barts. 10/10 recommend !

The Ferry ride was rough going over but smooth on the return. We enjoyed St Barths. Hi End shopping, intriguing restaurants. We ate at La Select. Very good meal and drinks
Ferry personnel were very attentive. Great instructions in St Barth. Shop first Eat lunch because everything closes down between 1-3.

Rough ride on the way over (don't blame the company) Captain knew how to handle those waves, return was fine. Departed and Arrived ontime, the only down side was the 'open bar', they served 1 drink each way, I understand that due to the choppy ride they were not able to serve drinks but the way back was perfectly fine to serve more than 1 drink.

The trip was ok - that's it. The problem was that we had not pre-planned anything to do - nor was it offered to us.
We walked around abit in the extremely high priced stores and then they closed at noon. It was so hot!! We were perspiring and we finally made our way to Shell Beach which was lovely but hard to walk on with out beach shoes. We stayed in the water a long time and decided not to go to the expensive restaurant there.
We walked back for the ferry and waited for about 30 minutes - nothing was open around the dock and we were so thirsty!
We were glad to get on the boat and get a beer!
The guys were great on the boat but I can't really recommend this trip as there was nothing to do. Not worth the price!!

We got to the appointed area for check in by 8:00 as advised and were not allowed to board the Edge II until 9:00, so it was hurry up and wait. The guys on board were courteous and helpful and Captain Mikey was a pro at handling the rough waters and waves on the way over. A couple of people got sick but otherwise it was just a choppy ride. The crew advised us to shop before doing anything else due to shops closing in the afternoon. We stopped and had a delicious snack at Bar de L'Oubli which is on the main drag of Gustavia and asked the waiter who was very helpful about the best way to see the island. We asked on of the taxi drivers how much to take us around and he quoted $200 for one hour and he would not come down on price . We decided to rent a car which was around $80,00 for the day and what a deal! We went all over the island and the roads are not for the faint of heart just due to the elevations, but what a great way to see all of the island on those mountain peaks. If you don’t rent a car or scooter you will definitely be disappointed with your trip because Gustavia’s shops close up early for lunch and unless you go to a beach there’s not a lot to do. We still ended up waiting on the ferry for about an hour after returning the car. The trip back was uneventful and much smoother, all in all a great day trip from St. Martin. I have to say St. BART’s is one of the most beautiful islands that I’ve been to and see why it’s the rich and famous folks little getaway.

The ferry trip over was nice. There was a lot of scenery to take it during the trip which is about an hour! St. Barts was really nice! There were a lot of stores to shop and a large variety of restaurants. The tourist area (shopping area) is really nice. A lot more French speaking people in St. Barts. But most people there understand English well! Unless you're going to the beach, the whole tourist area can be seen in 2-4 hours. But the daytrip last 6.5 hours. I didn't give the trip 5 stars because we had to wait and waste about two hours before the ferry returned.

Our boat ride over was fairly smooth. The crew was attentive and was quick to give us refills. There’s lots of nice shops and boutiques around the marina. We walked to the beautiful shell beach. The water had a high visibility great for snorkeling along the cliffs. We did a quick 30 min walk to the airport to watch small jets fly right over us. The walk was steep but worth it. Fort Carl had beautiful views of the island and shell beach. We found a cantina restaurant close to the marina which had reasonable prices. Highly recommend

I liked the transfer of this company, as well as the ground staff and sailors. The journey is short and there is no time to think about why you have already arrived.

The journey is about 45 to 1h from Simpson Bay with the fast ferry: the Edge II. Drinks are included and check in 1h before departure. If you have motion sickness like my self, better take the highest dose pill for the journey to St Barth. Gosh it was rough!!!!! I was sick. Better to stay in the middle of the boat. The journey back was better and smooth. Besides that, it was worth it and St Barth is beautiful

So excited to visit St. Barts!
However, be aware that the 45 minute ride there was not 45 minutes but 1 hour and 20 minutes due to very large waves and having to go slowly. Would not recommend for elderly or small children or anyone with motion sickness. The ride back was much smoother.
Once on land, we had a lovely time. Just wish we had more of it - TIME!
Did not explore the main drag - the upscale shops. Rather, we went up a few streets and explored on our own. It as quieter with more locals and local shops. Visited cute little affordable shops, ate at Le Select (the favorite of Jimmy Buffet) which was a delight. Even met one of the owners. Super friendly knowledgeable talkative bartender - wonderful! - great drinks and food.
We then headed to Shell Beach (bring your own towels unless you want to pay 100 for chairs!) and water/snacks where we spent a couple sunny hours.
Would highly recommend shop and eat then beach time.
All in all, would go again! Enjoy! 💙

We are staying at Oyster Bay Beach Resort....since I do not see it listed as one of the hotels that are included in pick up I am assuming that we would be required to drive to the marina? Approximately how far would that be?
