Burlie was very friendly, informative, and a good driver. We had fun and got to see a lot. Only problem was our cruise ship was not in port here long enough.

We heard about Burlie from previous visitors to St. Thomas and contacted her for a private half day tour of the island. She quickly became part of our large group and she drove us throughout the week whenever we needed her. She was so accommodating and professional and made our trip so fun!

Burlie is a great tour guide as well as a wonderful driver. Seeing St. Thomas was wonderful with her. We had a big group of people, she managed to make everyone happy on our customized tour. We continued to have her take our group to our various excursions as she was reliable and wonderful with the group. When our plans would change she did her best to accommodate our needs and adjust accordingly all with a graceful smile. We felt very safe and comfortable with her driving. We saw some drivers that were downright scary and felt fortunate to have her taking care of us.

Became ill on the ship the night before and could not make the tour. Ask for a refund and only tour provider offered half credit. Tripadvisor refused.

Thanks for your review but according to company policy tour should be cancelled 24 hour before arrival tour was cancelled 15 minutes before pick-up time, as tour provider I decide to give the family the benefit of the doubt and provided a 50% refund.

We had a group of 11 looking for a driver for the day while on a cruise aboard the Carnival Breeze. Unfortunately, there are no drivers available for the day so we had to look for a private customized tour. We found VI Scenic tours through Viator. A s a new Viator customer, I was offered a 10% off coupon which we used. We sent our itinerary to Viator and received a confirmation from Burlie of VI Scenic Tours. The morning we arrived in St Thomas, we were delayed leaving the ship so we called Burlie and explained the delay. We were told to meet her in Tour Area 3 or 4. We exited the ship and it was kind of confusing where to go. We asked the security officer at the port exit and he instructed directly to where Burlie was waiting for us. We all boarded her modified Ford F-250 that accommodated 12 people. She asked where we would like to go. We replied: Paradise Point for pictures, downtown Charlotte Amalie for shopping, Magens Bay Beach, Drakes Seat overlook, and finally back to Havensight Pier. She quickly informed us that we could not drive up to Paradise Point. We were disappointed, but we had no other option. We left and she dropped us off right in downtown Charlotte Amalie for shopping. We told her we would be back in 2 hours unless we contacted her. We arrived back about 15-20 minutes early so we had texted her so she would be expecting us. Since we could not go to Paradise Point, she elected to take us to Mountain Top. This place is merely a tourist trap with excellent views. Their claim to fame is their Banana Daquiri. Honestly, they are grossly overpriced. The views however were stunning. It overlooks Magens Bay, the Atlantic Ocean, and several of the US and British Virgin Islands. We took several pictures and off to Magens Bay Beach we went. Once at the beach, Burlie allowed us to store our purchases in the cab of her truck while she waited for us. On the way back to port, we stopped by Drake’s Seat for one final set of pictures. She was kind enough to take our pictures for us. Burlie was very gracious in showing around her beautiful island while giving us tidbits of history along the way. If you are looking for a private tour guide or driver for the day, be sure to check out Burlie’s website and book a tour with her!!!

My wife and I stepped off the cruise ship and were met by Burlie, who offered us an afternoon tour of St.Thomas. We joined another couple, which reduced the cost to us. A wonderful tour was provided with clear commentary along the way. Burlie is a kind person who will tailor the tour to suit your requirements. We were lucky to have met her, but perhaps it would be best to make an advance booking.

2018 was the year of our 25th wedding anniversary, Stephenie and I, and she had never sailed on a cruise. So that was our choice for the year's vacation – sailing the Caribbean. St. Thomas was a specially chosen port of call.
After A LOT of online research and investigation, and because we dislike the sardine-can ambience of packaged tours, we decided to reserve a private tour with VI Scenic Tours and Burlie Mantoute.
Disembarkation can be a little confusing so it took us a few moments to find each other, but hey, that's what cell phones are for.
Shopping is not a priority for us, so we skipped it – I've never understood people who spend $2,000 on a cruise so they can save $20 in a duty free shop. Instead, Burlie drove us to the old town with its pirate history and fascinating buildings and streets with Danish names. We walked down Creque's Alley (although it's not called that any more) made famous back in the hippie 1960s by The Mamas And The Papas.
At our request and giving her free rein, Burley took us all over the island ... including just a few of the touristy hot spots, but mostly instead to captivating places that she knows and other tours don't. Each one accompanied by an enthralling history, viewed through a prism that is uniquely Burlie.
Magen's Bay, for example, not too long ago with unspoiled beaches and clear turquoise water that almost hurt your eyes, has been coarsened by development and too many tourists. Burlie showed us a little-known beach with clear sparkling water, fully its equal. The Freedom Garden. The Three Queens Fountain (in 1878 Queen Mary, Queen Agnes and Queen Josiah led a successful fight against the Danish Government for better working conditions and higher pay. Bet you didn’t know that. There's a monument).
On the way we passed radio station (WSTA 1340 AM) which, she said, held the entire island together during Hurricane Maria ... it's perhaps not the most earth-shattering story in the world, but with Burlie telling it, you can't stop listening.
I'll bet that on that day we experienced more of that island's unique character and history than any other cruise passenger on any other tour.
She told us, "There is nothing I love more than showing my island off to people who truly want to see it."
If you're one of those people, Burlie MUST be your guide.
Visit her website. Look at the lots of different tours she offers, some for groups of various sizes, some for couples. Most have themes, but some – like ours – are treasures of spontaneity.
In all of the city of Charlotte Amalie, on the Caribbean island of St Thomas, in the United States Virgin Islands, you cannot find a better, more personable, kinder or more entertaining guide.

I took a tour of the island with V.I Scenic tours and the tour guide who was also the taxi driver was well knowledgeable of the city. Burlie will take you to the most attractive sites on the island. Very friendly and has a wonderful personality. She will make your tour of the island an exceptional one and one to remember. She has a nice and neat truck and is prompt and efficient. So whenever you visit the island of St. Thomas U.S.V.I remember to choose VI scenic tours for touring needs.

To what extent is the tour customizable? We have a party of 9 and have specific points of interest in mind which exclude shopping (not interested in this in the least). Thanks.

We are a group of 5 couples (10 people) and will be in St. Thomas on September 9th, on the Freedom of the Seas cruise ship. Is there availability and what is the script, the duration and the price? Is there a guide speaking in Portuguese (we are Brazilian) or Spanish?
