To start off the booking service was very smooth. Information was given clearly by Pepe about the services available on the tour and what to expect. This is a family owned business and all details are taken care off as a family. His mom’s cooking was excellent. We had excellent VEGAN food prepared for us on request. I still can’t stop talking about the delicious vegan lentil ceviche she had prepared for lunch. The tour guides Valeria and Yuli were very patient, friendly and took care of all the minute details while on tour. They would hand out timely cold drinks and snacks. They even encouraged and helped me to snorkel. It was a magical experience and would have missed out without the help of them. Captain Jose pointed us to sea life when he spotted them and shared all his local knowledge on birds. We had a very safe drive by experienced Julio as the road to Evaristo is not a paved road and there are lots of curves. About the tour itself, we saw amazing landscapes, colorful fish and dolphins. We had plenty of snorkeling and hiking opportunities. It’s once in a lifetime experience. Few locals were on our tour coming for the 6th time. This says a lot about the tour and the beautiful islands. Hope to go back in a different season.

My husband and I did this tour and loved it, I was truly blown away by the beauty of where we were and the hospitality of the team and family. Everything was amazing and I feel that we got to see a part of the world that is untouched and truly breathtaking. This was my husband's second time on this tour and this time round he loved it even more, we are already thinking about our next visit. Thank you to the Barbarita Tours team for everything!

Excelente tour por San Evaristo Isla San José y san Francisco. Nuestro tour inicio en San Evaristo, ahí dormíamos una noche , la comida muy rica y los guías excelentes. Luego dormimos una noche en San José. El equipo hizo un gran gran trabajo buscando buenos puntos para snorkelear, el campamento estuvo muy bien organizado la comida muy rica y contamos con la asesoría de una bióloga marina con la cual pudimos aprender no sólo de peces sino también de los suelos y aves de la región. El último dia estuvimos en isla San Francisco hicimos un poco de hiking, disfrutamos de la vista , del snorkel y nadamos con lobos marinos . Sin duda una experiencia recomendable para todas aquellas personas que buscan desconectarse y les gusta la aventura y la naturaleza . El Team se porto increíble con nosotros, fueron muy flexibles y amables, nos hicieron sentir como un miembro más de la familia. Repetiremos con muchísimo gusto la expeiencia

The tours organised by Pepe and his team come highly recommended!
From the moment we got in touch with Pepe we’ve experienced an exceptional level of personal service. We are travelling with our two daughters (10/6) and we had quite some questions about the accommodation and the daily activities. They were happy to answer all of them and accommodate us fully. From a customised meal plan to the length of the trips, everything got organised as much as possible to our wishes. Also the communication about what we could and could not expect during our 3 days in San Evaristo was very clear.
The trip to San Evaristo was already an adventure, deep in to the national park Sierra Madre via the only dirt and rocky road connecting the fishermen villages to the city of La Paz. San Evaristo itself is a small fishermen village on a bay, where we slept in tents on the beach right in front of the Family restaurant Lupe Sierra & Maggie Mae. Expect basic but clean and comfortable, with a palapa for the shade and cold drinks when you need it. Take on account that we are not experienced campers :) Food was also basic but delicious, all served with a big smile.
The trips to San Jose island are something you will have to experience for yourself, since we don’t want to give any spoilers. Having dived and snorkeled around the world we can only say that we got more than we expected, the discription “aquarium of the world” as given by Cousteau to the Mar de Cortez definitely fits the places we’ve seen. Again compliments to Pepe and Carla, who took great care of us, showed a very high level of professional knowledge about the island, the sea, the marine life and the use of all high quality equipment they were using.
Conclusion; a fully deserved 5 star experience, again, highly recommended!

Barbarita tours ha hecho que nuestro fin de semana de nado en San Evaristo haya sido inolvidable. No sòlo el lugar es mágico, el servicio es de lo mejor! Nos sentimos en confianza pero sin perder el profesionalismo de un excelente servicio

I would highly recommend any tour this company has to offer. Pepe and Carla were fantastic tour guides. We went snorkeling at 4 different places . We saw many sea lions , also an abundance of beautiful fish. The food was delicious. The experience was beyond incredible. Best tour I have ever been on and I have snorkeld all over the World . Thanks again

Las vistas en el paseo por la isla de San José y San Francisco son de lo mejor que he visto en mi vida. Hermosas, alucinantes. Además, al ser un lugar bastante remoto y de difícil acceso, casi no hay gente en las playas y se pueden disfrutar mucho más. Pepe y toda la familia de Barbarita Tours son excelentes anfitriones y te hacen sentir como en casa. Las cabañas del alojamiento son rústicas pero las camas están nuevas y muy cómodas. Definitivamente volveremos.

Excelentes personas y guías. Me sentí completamente acogida por todos los integrantes de Barbarita tours. Personas dedicadas, cálidas y profesionales además de apasionadas. Todo salió de maravilla. El lugar expectacular y nuestro nado inolvidable.
