This was a wonderful experience. Luis was our guide and driver and he was the best. He took us to all the best spots and gave us free margaritas while we shopped. He took us to a local restaurant on the beach and the food was amazing! I would absolutely recommend Luis and this service. Our experience was seamless and everything we expected plus more!

We (4 of us) arrived in port on a cruise with no plans. We were just going to walk around town and maybe get a taxi. Rene approached us about their van tours. We were skeptical as many people approach tourists and try to sell their services or trinkets. He described the tour and parts were what we wanted and parts were not. We asked him if we could discuss it among ourselves for a few minutes. We decided to take the tour.
Meanwhile, Rene had begun a conversation with 4 others from our ship that we had not met. Like us, there were parts of the tour that they were not interested in and those were the same for us. The 8 of us decided to joint up and Rene customized the tour for us.
We were not interested in shopping or in going onto the beach. One of the other 4 had mobility issues which precluded them from those activities and we had done that on other stops.
Rene took us on a great trip of the city and did a fantastic job of giving us the history of the area and city. As a special treat, he took us to a theatre/opera house that was quite old, was destroyed, then rebuilt. We went inside and watched as they set up for a performance that night. Rene knew the director and he came to say hello to the group.
Rather than shop, we told him that we wanted to go to a nice breezy spot with a view of the beach for some beers. He said, “I know just the spot”. He took us to a great location overlooking the beach where we had nochoes and beer and just relaxed a bit.
We then boarded the van and completed the drive back to the ship. The trip is normally 3 hours. I told him that was “too long” and he said, at the end you will say “that was too fast.” We ended up being on the trip for almost 5 hours and I could have stayed longer. He was right!
I highly recommend Mazatlán Van Tours and especially Rene Fernando Navarro Fuentes as your guide. You will be happy you went!

We had a great day with Jesus! Took us to the country side where we enjoyed the Tequila factory and a beautiful little town for lunch. Highly recommend.

Jose Osuna was a great tour guide and driver. His knowledge of Mazatlan was amazing and his flexibility with our preferences was perfect. I highly recommend the company and more specifically Jose.

Julio, our driver, was amazing. He shared an amazing knowledge of the town that we could not have had with the usual bus tour. He made all the stops we requested plus a few he thought might interest us. Even took us to a restaurant where we may have been the only tourists.
The van was well maintained and we were supplied with drinks from a cooler including a local beer.

This was an AWESOME tour while visiting Mazatlan. Our driver was Humberto Ruiz. He was well knowledgeable of the city and took us to some great to see places. Will definitely recommend this company to anyone going to this area.

Our driver, Gabriel, was bi-lingual and welcomed a chance for me to try out my Spanish while we toured Matzatlan. The tour itself was literally whatever or wherever we wanted. We gave Gabriel some broad guidelines and he drew from his years of experience to take us some very cool places that were not filled with tourists. Historical, whimsical, peaceful, beautiful vistas. It was perfect! I really got a feel for life in Matzatlan. Gabriel was patient with some of our group of seven's indecisions and helped us find some fun spots. The driver was courteous, safe to drive with, very knowledgable of the area. I would recommend a tour with Gabriel and this group.

Arrived in Mazatlán a little unsure of what we were going to do. We knew we wanted to spend some time in the beach but also take time to see some of the city. Thankfully we were able to find this awesome private van tour! Jose Velarde took us across town to nice hotel in the beach. Gave us access to towels, showers, and a nice clean beach to hang out with an maxing view of beautiful islands! Jose returned after a few hours to pick us up and take us on a tour of the city. Both the popular tourist areas as well as the more “every day” areas (as we requested). Anything we wanted to see, stop and look at, or even get out and take picture of; Jose got us there! Enjoyed his humor, knowledge and most of all, courtesy he extended to our family as we guided through the city. I can assure you, next time we head to Mazatlán, we will definitely be reaching out to Jose! Couldn’t imagine our first trip there without his help!

Request Sergio when you contact them, pull in to port or get to Mazatlan. His English is excellent. He is a wonderful tour guide and you tell him what you want to see and he will take you, patiently wait, and give you the history if you want. We had 10 people, all age groups with us and he was great with everyone. We paid 25 per adult(6 adults)for the day and we were our by ourselves. We had the best time of all our Mexican ports and he was by far the best! I can't speak to other guides so make sure you ask for Sergio.

Crazy busy the day we were in Mazatlán-3 cruise ships so the cruise ship area was very crowded and chaotic. I had contacted the private tour via aviator requesting a number of tour guides who had received outstanding reviews. No guarantee but they would do their best to assign one. The company actually has a desk inside the cruise terminal or they usually have reps wandering around the interior courtyard of the terminal to assist you with check in Unfortunately we waited for almost 30 minutes passed our pickup time. The rep kept telling us the guide was on his way. Guide was nice. Spoke good English and knew tons about the city. Offered to take us to wherever we wanted. To stop for us to get out and take pictures. At this point with so much traffic and the heat we just preferred to stay in the car. He did suggest a place for margaritas and nachos on the beach in the “new” town. Had to wait there too. Good but touristy. Too bad the town was just too busy not only from the ships but Mexico was still celebrating the Christmas holiday so lots of visitors!
