I usually take hop-on hop-off buses whenever I visit a new city… this one, quite honestly, is one of the worst I’ve ever taken. Buses are never on time and spams from bus to bus might take up to 90 minutes. Also buses from different circuits hardly intersect and when they do, waiting times are eternal! We waited more than an hour to change circuits at one stop. Moreover, stop signs in the yellow line are hardly visible, we wondered around for 15 minutes because we couldn’t find a banner referencing the stop. N O T R E C O M E N D E D!!

Between the traffic and limited information provided it isn't a great use of your time. It seemed like over half of the information was either promotional (like this is the tallest building in MXCD) or commercial (shop here). You do get a good overview of the city and that is helpful. I've been on this type of bus in London and it was informative and really welcomes getting on and off. This is more like get on and do the loop.

Rude bus driver and helper. At any point the person at the ticket booth at Plaza de Cibeles told us that we needed to keep the QR/Receipt besides the wristband. Hop on bus # 7906 on April 20th 2023 at 12:15 pm and the bud assistant/helper asked for that so receipt in a very rude way. This company should be more careful selecting and/or training their employees and develop their Customer Service skills. The Cherry on the sundae is that they made an su attitudes stop. Outside the regular stop from the route to buy some lollipops/paletas for themselves. Next time I’ll try the other bud service. Never again with this one!

A good overview of the inner city. Would have been more comfortable if the music had not been so loud and relentless, Difficult to hear English in earbuds with the Spanish over the loudspeakers, but might not present difficulties for someone with perfect hearing. On a hot day, bring something to sit on if you are upstairs, as the seats and backs can burn.

Very bad experience with this Tour Bus today.
We purchased tickets online and went to the meeting point.
At the Kiosk, we were given wrist bands and a receipt. We were told we could travel on any of the 4 routes for the day.
We did one route before lunch returned in the afternoon and we're not allowed to board as we had not kept the paper receipt. Still had wrist bands on and the email confirmation.
Very annoyed as nobody advised we needed to keep the paper receipt. What's the point of the wristbands??
Spend your money elsewhere!

Total waste of time when they can’t be bothered to check with the translation sound system to see if it’s working. It was NOT! It should be part of a check list before the bus is approved to go out. Ruined the first portion of our the trip and I can speak enough Spanish to get by. Please don’t advertise that your buses offer multilingual translations.

I bought the two day ticket as there are four routes and there's no way you can do all four routes in a day.
The first day, I visited the Centro Historico and the Basilica of our Lady of Guadeloupe. The second day I went to the Coyoacan area but didn't have time to explore the Polanco route.

Mexico City is huge and it will be difficult to see all of it in a short time. A really good way to see the main sites is to use the open-top Turibus CDMX Hop on Hop Off tour bus.
The tour offers 4 main routes, each covering different areas of the cities. The most popular route is the red Centro Historico route which runs through the heart of CDMX and covers the main attractions (including Zocalo). The other routes are Sur Coyoacan (Frida Kahlo museum) , Polanco (shopping district) and Basilica (Basilica de Guadelupe). Use the route map to see where each of the routes join to the main red route and you can change busses at those points.
Traffic is crazy in Mexico City and the buses may have to change routes without notice if any of the normal routes are blocked for any reason. I have also found that the buses sometimes don’t stop at every marked bus stop. I would recommend that you buy the two-day pass if you want to see all of the routes, as it won’t be possible to use all four routes in one day. Sur Coyoacan in particular took very long to complete due to traffic.
The bus offers on-going commentary in Spanish via the on-board speaker system. Nine other languages are available via the selection panel at each seat. Ask the driver for the complimentary headphones (or bring your own) then select the correct channel for the language you prefer. I suggest that you don’t choose a seat close to the on-board speaker, as these can be very loud sometimes!
Points to note:
• The weather can be upredictable. It gets very hot on the upper level, but it can also rain unexpectedly, so be prepared for either
• Takes lots of water with you
• Beware of low hanging trees and wires while sitting on the top level
• A free WiFi service is available, but not all of the buses have this option
• USB charging is available, but not all of the buses have a USB charging point at the seat
• Keep your ticket as well as the receipt as you may be asked for it
• The Zocalo stop is very popular and the wait for a bus can be quite long

A good tour for the most part but a couple of annoyances that stopped a higher rating. The tour did a great job of offering commentary in a number of languages, but played the Spanish commentary over the loud speakers so loudly that at times it was impossible to hear through the earphones. The Basilica route stopped for over 10 minutes at the Tequila and Mezcla museum, which was a waste of my time as I had no interest in that location.

Sorry, we stayed at the Hotel Marquis Reforma on Reforma and there's a stop right outside that hotel (though it didn't do us any good as they drove right on past us as we hopped up and down waving our tickets....).
You'll have to check the website for the stops. Don't believe them when they say the bus comes every 15 minutes. That's a total lie.
Ubers are cheap and easy and we found them safe.

En el mismo bus y seguro hay parada cerca, pero recomiendo ir en domingo para que haya menos tráfico y no tengas que esperar para la recogida en las paradas

when you purchase a ticket can you hop from route to route on the same day?

We did the same thing. Took the route that goes to Castillo de Chapultapec/ Chapultapec Park on a separate day. The same stop gets you to the Museum of Anthropology which is wonderful. Bathrooms in Chapultapec Park close around early dinner time and there are no bathrooms in the Starbucks by the street.

All you need is the photo of your purchase as they will scan or a print out. Nobody has tickets in todays world they are all etickets
yes to buying at pick up points but I found most people had etickets or photos
As to where to pick up I think you will find their route is set and you can see it on line.
Every day I mage it to there rear of the Museum of Arts and picked up the tour there

You need a bracelet. I would go to one of the main stops where 2 or more routes meet. You need to show them your reservation. They call the office to verify and then give you a bracelet.
