Awesome tour guide. Easy to find. Great experiences with the animals. The rum tasting was very good and do not sleep on it! Great view and pictures. Staff couldn’t be any better.

Very late review, but I had to share how FANTASTIC this tour was. Roatan had been on my list to visit for a few years. This was a cruise stop so we had limited time. Sloths, chocolate and rum tasting fit within our timeframe and gave us an opportunity to see the island. Locating our tour guide was a bit chaotic as you emerge outside of the port gates, but all the tour guides were helpful in directing you to the right group. There seemed to be a large party (about 10) within our tour. Since it was just my husband and I, the tour lead assigned us to a young gal in our own private car. I wish I wrote down our guide's name, because she made the trip exceptional. She lived on the island so we learned a lot about the people and life living there. We stopped at a high point on the island that overlooked the bay and gave you the opportunity to shop. Next stop was Mayan Eden. This was the highlight as I finally got to hold a sloth, have monkeys climb up on my shoulder and learn about how the island cares for the animals. Next stop was the chocolate factory, but on the way, she drove us a "longer" way showing us beautiful beaches and the community she lives in. The chocolate factory is just a store with a candy maker or two in the back you can watch. But I loved that you could sample the different levels of cocoa in the chocolate. I bought a large box to bring back and share with family and friends. The last stop was the rum company for tasting. Yes, in essence a store, but I came back with a lovely spiced rum and rum cake. We stopped at the ROATAN sign for pictures before heading back to the cruise ship. This was by far, the best shore excursion I have done in all of the ports we visited through the years. I highly recommended this tour and will be signing up for another 2K Adventure Tour when we return!

We had a fantastic driver. She took us to some great shops and didn’t hurry us at all. She was personable and very informative on the culture of the island. I will definitely choose this tour again when I come back.

Our driver/guide was Rex for 2k adventures. He was friendly and knowledgeable. We are a family of 4, including 18 year old and 5 year old and we all had a fun time. We took a taxi after we walked through the port area to find our guide otherwise it is a 7 minute walk after you leave port area, mildly strenuous with a slight steep up the road. Look for driver holding sign for 2k amongst many other tour guide companies. First stop was the monkeys and sloths and many other animals. There is a different guide for this tour. Your other guide will wait until you are done. This was an experience we never had before, holding different animals, so much fun! Worth it to see! Next Rex took us to the chocolate and then the rum tasting. Bring money to buy because that is partly point of the tour. Next we went to take pictures by the big Roatán sign. We asked Rex to take us to a souvenir shop next which was not part of tour. He was very accommodating to what we wanted to do. Remember to tip your guides at the monkey/sloth place and your initial guide/driver. They do deserve it for the great experience! All in all recommend this tour.

Disappointed that the tour operators canceled my tour hours before it was scheduled with no explanation. I was really looking forward to it. Honduras doesn’t seem to accommodating for solo travelers.

We were assigned to Rex. Excellent tour guide. Down to earth, had a normal conversation with us. It felt natural, not rushed. Loved all our stops. He even offered to take us to the beach if we wanted, just needed to pay the beach fee. We decided against, it was the perfect length, not too long. Bring cash to tip your driver, they live primarily off tips. Also tip the guide at the sloth park. That’s a different person and they also live off commission.
Also note, it was hard to find, you have to exit the cruise and shopping area all together. The exit sign is small? You walk through bathrooms. We thought they’d be waiting at the first exit but you pass the bathrooms and walk down a long line of people trying to offer a tour. That’s not Y2K’s fault but others should know what to expect when you try to find the operator. You need to ask a few people along the way.

This was one of the best excursions we've ever done. Our tour guide, Delia was FANTASTICO! We visited the monkeys & the sloths, did some shopping, went to a chocolate factory and then a rum factory. Delia was waiting for us when we arrived at the port, told us about Roatan and its history, drove us all around in her air conditioned vehicle and made sure we were back at our ship within plenty of time to spare. This tour made Roatan, Honduras our favorite port. Highly recommend 2K's Adventure Tours!

We had a fantastic personalized tour of Roatan with Delia. Delia was very attentive to us and made sure to take us places that were easy to get around. She gave us a tour of the island and told us all about Roatan as we drove around and answered any questions. We had a private tour at Mayan Eden with Samuel, where we saw monkeys and sloths. The staff at Mayan Eden were amazing as well and they took pictures of us with the monkeys and sloths to purchase which was very inexpensive. We also toured the Chocolate factory and a rum factory. Both were very yummy. This tour made Roatan one of the best excursions we had been on during our trip.

Fantastic tour with our guide Rex. He was absolutely amazing and showed my wife and myself Rotan through his eyes… the people, the culture & the history. We highly recommend 2K Adventures! And always ask for Rex!

I am a travel agent and have clients taking this tour tomorrow. The ticket does not specify the tour time. I called Viator and they said that the clients can arrive anytime during opening hours; however, this website says 1 hour after cruise ship arrives. Please confirm. They will be arriving on Royal Caribbean on Feb 9.

We have a group of 12 people that will be on the Mardi Gras and docking at Mahogany Bay. Can we arrange to be picked up at the port 9:00am, also can it be set up where each individual pays for their own ticket(s)?

We are considering doing this with our older teenage kids next week. Is it easy to get to from the port and are the anmilas we would see well cared for or no? Does this take you to Gumbalinda?

I don't see anywhere that says how long this tour is. I'd like to know how long at Chocolate Factory and of course how much time do you get with the sloths.
Also, how easy is it to locate the tour guides?

after this tour we purchased another tour with them so I really dont remember... hard to say. Your question about the time with the sloths, amazing question! I wish I asked that before we went, because felt like I spent so much time trying to take everyone's photo but when it was time for me of course the guy working there was kinda annoyed at that point and my photo turned out to be really bad, kinda funny BUT if you organize it well you'll have plenty of time :), since the sloths are just so amazing and friendly you just dont want to let go ..
