Highly recommended. This nighttime photography tour with Lou exceeded all my expectations. I was on holiday with my family in London and was looking for a photography guide to help improve my nighttime photography skills, while exploring the city. I found Lou on Trip Advisor and read through her ratings which were excellent. She did not disappoint!
From the beginning, Lou took the time to understand my photography skills and what I was hoping to accomplish during the evening. Her background in fine arts, teaching and her superior photography skills made for a most enjoyable evening and one of the highlights of my trip to London. By the end of the 3-hour photo session, I had a much better understanding of my own camera, and more importantly how to compose great photos which I would be proud to display in my home. I was very pleased and would highly recommend Lou for anyone looking to capture great photos of London. I plan to return to London Photo Tours and Workshops on my next trip to London. Thanks Lou!

Had a great photo tour with Lou. We were on the South Bank and got some great nighttime shots. She helped me get the right exposures and composition. Photographers of all skill levels can learn a great deal from her. I would highly recommend Lou to anyone that wants to take home some great photos of London.

Lou was a fantastic teacher. I was new to the camera that I brought along for the tour, but Lou has such great experience on various cameras that she was able to get me up and running in no time. We largely stayed in the area around the London Eye because I had to cut the tour duration by an hour, but Lou adjusted and made sure that every minute was time well spent. She had great thoughts on composition and camera settings, and was engaging throughout the tour. I was extremely pleased and will look forward to hiring her the next time I get to London.

Lou was great. She helped me learn more about my camera and taught me how to take excellent night shots and explore my creative side. Just wish I could remember it all! Guess I'll have to come back and take the class again (would be totally worth it!)

Had a great time shooting with Lou. She got me in the right location at the right time to get some excellent shots. No matter what your skill level This tour is great. her knowledge of photography the area and the history make a great experience.

This is my second photography course with Lou, having previously undertaken the beginners course a number of years ago. We met at the London Eye, during some pretty miserable weather - making for some great photography.
Lou is a knowledgeable, engaging and patient teacher who quickly puts you at ease. I have always wanted to do slow shutter speed photography but never had the confidence or know where to start. Lou set me on the right track, showed me the best way to set up and what to think about. We then had a great few hours walking the South Bank of the Thames taking different types of night scene photography.
I learnt so much and took some amazing photos along the way. I would highly recommend this, or any other of Lou's courses. Whilst COVID meant there were extra precautions to take (mask, sanitizer etc) it never got in the way of a great, interactive, practical course. Lou's passion for photography and to share her skills shine through it all.

I gave this night photography tour as a gift to my wife and she has not been able to stop talking about how amazing it was.
From my perspective setting up the experience with Lou and the team was dead simple and they were very helpful with any questions I had.
My wife had an absolutely brilliant time and said it was as much a learning experience as it was a wonderful night on. She's constantly playin with her camera now and putting into practice all the things she learnt.

Hi, we don't have professional camera equipment. Would the operator be offended if we took this tour and used our iPhones?
What kind of lens that we use for this tour? Wide lens or tele lens? Can i rent a tripot there?

I am interested in this tour and I am thinking of booking this on Sept. 19. Can someone answer the following:
- How do we get from one site to another? Are they within walking distance, or do we take a train or car?
- The reviews indicate the tour was with Lou, who received very positive reviews. Can I expect to get Lou as the tour guide if I reserve Sept. 19?
- How many locations will we photograph?

Hey Odyssey. I took a private night photography tour with Lou in July. We met at Waterloo station and walked to several locations along the Thames. I remember at least 6 distinct "locations" along the south bank between Waterloo station and Westminster Bridge. I would think this may vary depending on weather and construction (Big Ben is under construction until 2021 I believe). I believe Lou and her husband are the only two people who do the tours. You could probably shoot them an email to confirm with Lou before you go. Hope this helps, and I know you will have a great time!
