Alan was very friendly, entertaining and informative. He got us to all the right spots to view the guards and the procession. He shared the rich history of the royal family and how they live. I will definitely recommend this tour.

Tour was very informative! Our guide was great, she had us entertained and intrigued throughout entire tour!
Learned alot about London and especially about Westminster Abbey as well. Would suggest this tour company for historical buffs!!

We took this tour with Ben as we were accompanying a friend on a first time visit. We have visited Westminster Abbey numerous times and attended many services there. In spite of our familiarity with WA Ben was able to amaze and astound us with the visit. We were the first people into the Abbey and were able to take pictures with no other people in the pictures. Ben's knowledge and humor made this a highly recommended tour.

We had Ben as our guide and he was the best! We then took his tour to Westminster and then the Tower of London Tour with him! Excellent A+ service! I highly recommend HIM and this tour! Thank you tour guy for your excellent tours, and thanks Ben for all your excellent knowledge and fun!

Ben is one of the best tour guides I've ever had, and this is one of the two best tours I took on a two-week trip around Europe. If you, like me, are overambitious in your trip planning and therefore need to squeeze as much as possible into a short amount of time, then this tour is the perfect way to see all the highlights of London in a single day. Moreover, Ben is the perfect guide: he is funny, patient, impeccably well prepared, and a wealth of information. Our group never managed to come up with a single question he couldn't answer. And time and again, his planning had us in the perfect spot so that tours with other companies ended up waiting much longer in line or having a much worse view than we did. In a bucket list trip around Europe, Ben made sure that London was one of the highlights, a day filled with moments I'll never forget, and I highly recommend you seek him out to do the same.

Skipping the line at the Abbey was a true gift and standing on the bridge to watch the changing of the guard was so much better than being in the masses at the front of the Palace. Ben made it all happen. He knew his stuff and how to maximize our time. The Abbey is so full of history and he made sure we got the high points. Just a delightful morning in London.

We booked our tour through The Tour Guy, our guide Ben was absolutely incredible. He was funny, kind and a wealth of knowledge. Westminster Abbey was an amazing experience, and Ben navigated us through with expertise, a little humor and provide the group with an experience we will never forget. Going to see the changing of the Guard was a must do! I would recommend getting the earliest tour time possible to avoid the large crowds and ask specifically for Ben.

Using The Tour Guy, we avoided waiting on queue and were let into Westminster before the huge line…the info our guide Ben shared was outstanding and his insight had us at the right spots at the right time! We had a fantastic time! Highly recommend!! Thank you, Ben!

Ben was the Westminister/Buckingham ninja! Awesome job of maneuvering us for best possible experience. Taking a group of Americans through on Independence Day! Well worth the time & money.

We booked this tour because after reading several guide books on London, the process of viewing the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace sounded like a chaotic, very hit-and-miss event, so we wanted someone with knowledge to help us see what we hoped to see.
Suffice it to say that this tour from The Tour Guy was outstanding in every aspect. First, I was impressed that The Tour Guy called me a couple of days before our scheduled tour to tell me that on our scheduled day, Friday, Westminster Abbey was going to be closed for an event, and asked if we would like to reschedule. Thankfully we were able to do that, so we rescheduled for the following Monday.
We met our tour guide, Ben, at Parliament Square just outside Westminster Abbey, and then he took care of our entrance tickets and got us right at the front of the line, which had already grown very long by the time they opened the doors at 9:30.
This was amazing, because we were able to get into the church and take some incredible photos of this stunning cathedral with very few to no people in our pictures. Ben then gave us a roughly one-hour tour of the church, showing us some of the notable graves and monuments, as well as explaining the architecture and history of the building.
We then left and walked at a brisk pace across St. James Park to the Mall in front of Buckingham Palace, and Ben positioned us perfectly to see the beginning of the changing of the guard, as the "new guards" marched from St. James Palace down the mall toward Buckingham Palace.
Unfortunately, due to preparations for Queen Elizabeth's 70th Jubilee the first week of June, we couldn't get anywhere near Buckingham Palace because of police barricades and security, but Ben knew exactly where to take us to see different groups of the guard marching either to or from the palace.
The cherry on top was that he knew right where to position us outside St. James Palace to see the final group of the "old guard" arrive there from Buckinham Palace, complete with band. It was quite the pageantry, which we would have surely missed without a guide who knew exactly how the whole process is orchestrated.
We booked several tours while in Paris and London, and Ben was by far the best tour guide we had. He is a so-called "blue badge" guide, meaning that he has attained the highest level of expertise and knowledge for guiding historical tours in London, and it shows. He was a fountain of information about architecture, historical figures, and current royalty, and all things British. Plus he was an engaging and humorous, which really made the tour come alive.
Bottom line: if you want to get Westminster Abbey to yourself for a few precious minutes, and if you want to give yourself the best chance possible of actually seeing the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace without standing behind hordes of tourists 10 deep, do yourself a favor and book this tour.
I could not more highly recommend.
