It is difficult to to do justice to an absolutely incredible and indescribable experience with Niall, who took our family on a two day Isle of Skye tour. Those two days were definitely the best part of our week long trip, and most certainly the best experience that any of us have had on any vacation. Not only did we learn about Scotland through the most interesting and entertaining stories, we got to go on incredible hikes and see parts of Scotland we would not have otherwise seen. Niall was very attentive to individual needs and made sure at all times that everyone was comfortable and enjoying their time. He was quite cheerful and uplifting, and it was actually sad to say good-bye to a friend we made in Scotland! He is absolutely top notch!!!

Our tour was truly the highlight of our trip to the UK. We spent 4 days with Niall, who showed us not only amazing spots in St. Andrews, the Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye, but he also made to very personal and special with a few surprises for myself and my kids. When I go back, I will definitely book with them again, only for a longer period of time! It was truly a dream come true.

Scotland is a beautiful place, with deep history and legend. Niall gave us the best experience. We saw a lot of Skye, heard a lot history and legend (ask Niall about walking out of a fairy circle...backwards). A fun, safe, entertaining, yet, educational time for our entire family.

This was our first time having a private guide/driver for the entirety of a trip and it proved to be fantastic. Eddie was our guide for our 5 day Scottish Highlands and Isle of Skye Tour and I couldn’t recommend the experience highly enough. From the moment that he took us on board at Inverness, Eddie made us feel immediately taken care of. He was very knowledgeable about the history and the culture of the wonderful places that we visited and he had some sensational tips for restaurants and distilleries! Nothing was ever too much bother and he managed to fit in everything that we wanted to see. The fact that he was driving and managing timing and distances, made the holiday completely stress-free and thoroughly enjoyable.
Liaising with Niall in the lead up to the trip was easy – he helped shape the trip so that we got the most out of our five days.
Our experience in Scotland was just incredible and I would like to sincerely thank Eddie and Niall for playing a huge role in that.

I booked this 3 day bespoke tour for clients looking to not only explore Skye but also their Scottish heritage. The clients said they had the time of their lives. In booking the trip for them, Niall was prompt to email me, answer any and all questions and provided other recommendations as well. The clients told me they had a "magical" journey through Skye. I have since booked other clients with Niall and can't wait to hear how great their trips are!

Our tour of the Highlands and Islands would not have been the same without Niall. He took such great care of us, planned a truly amazing tour and handled all of the logistical details. While discussing the itinerary, we started with the tour offered and he helped us customize our five day trip so we could experience exactly what we hoped. Additionally, we enjoyed our overnight accomodations based on Niall's excellent recommendations. Niall was considerate of our need for breaks, made our evening meal reservations and even packed a picnic lunch on the day we went to the Isle of Staffa.
As we got to know each other, Niall often added a short stop or two of local interest he thought we would enjoy. His ability to adjust our schedule based on the unpredictable Scotland weather and/or our desire to linger at a place longer than planned was a real advantage. Niall was very knowledgable about all-things Scotland and could answer or find the answer to any of our questions. Along the drives he shared so much about the history of the country, lots of stories and folktales, and insight into the culture and people of Scotland. We really got a feel for and understanding of this wonderful place.
We are a family of four adults and all agreed Niall and his tour expertise were one of the best experiences we've had on any of our vacations. We strongly encourage you to consider including Niall in your Scotland travels. We've made a friend and hope to return for more of our own adventures with Scottish Guided Tours.

Scottish Guided Tours is the BEST, from booking to the tour itself. During my research, I contacted a number of tour operators and Niall stood out head and shoulders above the rest. Niall was a joy to work with - all my inquiries did not phase him and he was always prompt and detailed with his responses. Niall was accommodating in customizing our tour itinerary and making sure that we hit all the spots I wanted to see.
Alan was our tour guide and he is one of the best tour guides we have ever had. We spent 5 days with Alan and he was professional, punctual, engaging and extremely knowledgeable. Alan took us to some amazing cafes off the beaten track. The van was comfortable and spacious. Alan had binoculars for us to view wildlife and an extra poncho when one of us forgot our raincoat. Scottish Guided Tours thought of everything! Alan gave us plenty of time to explore and was very flexible with the schedule.
That is the best part of having a private tour guide - the flexibility to cater to your schedule and interests. We spent time looking at dinosaur foot prints, visited the dino museum in Isle of Skye, Outlander locations (ahem, I admit they were for me) and did many of the scenic hikes. Alan knew where to park and where to go at what time to avoid the large bus tours. We will never forget the adventures we spent with Alan on our tour. We were so sad to part ways.

Our experience working with Niall and his team was outstanding from start to finish! Niall was very communicative and committed to delivering an itinerary that worked for our entire group of six. He scheduled Zoom calls to make sure we were all on the same page and was very flexible during planning. He also went above and beyond to ensure we had dinner reservations each night of our stay which made the entire experience so enjoyable! All accommodations were top notch and within easy walking distance to town centers. Our Driver Murray became like part of our family! Not only was he extremely knowledgeable and fun, he was also very accommodating and never made us feel rushed. He even offered to take us out to see Clava Cairns in the evening when all the crowds were gone - we had the entire site to ourselves and it was really special. These guys know what they are doing - I highly recommend Scottish Guided Tours to anyone looking for a smaller more personal group tour of Scotland!

5 Stars is not enough to rate Niall and our personal tour guide Murray. We spent 10 days touring Scotland, starting in Edinburgh. Our first stop was Stirling, then onto Portree on Isle of Skye, next was Ullapool, Thurso and finally Inverness. Each area was highlighted wonderfully and Murray provided us with opportunities to be flexible and change or add to our sites visited. Murray was very knowledgeable and provided us with a truly amazing experience in Scotland. If you want to see the very best of Scotland, request Murray and if you can afford it, do the 10 day tour.

What an amazing Scotland experience with Niall! This excursion was perfect for our family of 5 (3 boys: 20,20,17). An incredible time - mostly experiencing the landscape by taking short hikes in the Highlands and Isle of Skye. The Old Man of Storr in thick mist was our favorite - but wouldn't have wanted to miss the unique Quiraing, Fairy Glen and Fairy Pools either! Ate a memorable lunch on a rock outcropping with an awe-inspiring view of the Three Sisters of Glencoe. Visits to Eilean Donan Castle and Dunnottar Castle were great too. Niall even surprised us with a wee bit of Scotch. We spent almost 2 weeks in England and Scotland and the family agrees our 4 days with Niall was our favorite. His inside scoop on all things Scotland and his story-telling style helped give the trip a fun, informative, welcoming feel.
