    Sweetest tour guide and really pretty views

    Guide named Anthony had the patience of a saint, very knowledgeable and genuinely happy to give the tour and answer any questions, bus had usb ports so that was definitely a plus too

    Great fun day trip through the highlights of Scotland with a very nice and knowledgeable driver / tour leader, Charlie.

    What a nice trip this day was, very beautiful views of the hills, beautiful cruise on the lake of Loch Ness can make, and good food and drink along the way. There was also the possibility to buy nice souvenirs.
    During the bus ride, our driver told a lot of information about Scotland's history in his beautiful spoken accent.
    In between stops Charlie, our amazing funny and professional driver, played beautiful Scottish music. Even when the bus failed for a moment, he managed to solve it within 10 minutes.
    In short: it was a great ride, with mostly nice weather, only on the way back we got the traditional Scottish rain showers over us.

    Wee Davey the legendary story teller and history buff 💪
    The Timberbush tour with Wee Davey is not just an educational journey through Scotland’s history but also a fun and engaging experience thanks to his witty Scottish humor. He has a knack for making history lively, sharing facts about why the trees near distilleries turn black, and sprinkling his insights with humor, keeping everyone entertained. Whether he's discussing the gossip surrounding the Stone of Destiny or the infamous betrayal of the MacDonalds by the Campbells during the Glencoe Massacre, he adds a light-hearted, playful touch to even the darker moments of history.

    Long day
    Although I enjoyed the majority of time spent was driving. And they express themselves. I was most excited to see was Highland cows. Was dropped in a parking lot and had to walk across the highway to Attempt to see cows from very far away.

    Two of the stops in towns was disappointing as so many of the shops and restaurants were closed. 11 hour trip with over 9 hours spent driving

We’re sorry to hear that the tour didn’t fully meet your expectations, and we appreciate the opportunity to respond to your concerns. We understand that a tour of this length can feel long, particularly with the amount of time spent on the bus. However, to visit stunning locations such as Loch Ness and Glencoe from Glasgow, a longer drive is required. The payoff, as many of our guests have mentioned, is the breathtaking scenery you get to experience along the way. Travelling through the Highlands offers some of Scotland’s most spectacular landscapes, which we hope makes the journey itself a memorable part of the experience. Regarding your comment about the stop to see Highland cows, safety is always a top priority for us. Our drivers follow strict safety guidelines and would never ask passengers to cross a motorway, as this would be against safety regulations. While there are no motorways in the Highlands, the stop you mentioned would have been near a major road, but it is in a location deemed safe to cross. We’d be happy to look into this further if you could provide more details, and we encourage you to reach out to us directly at tours@timberbushtours.com. As for the stops in towns where some shops or restaurants were closed, we understand this can be disappointing. However, we carefully plan our itineraries to ensure there is ample time for exploring, dining, and sightseeing, including longer breaks for lunch and refreshments. In Pitlochry, for example, there are usually several options available for visitors, even in the late afternoon, and we apologise if you happened to visit on a day when certain establishments were closed. We appreciate your feedback and will review it closely to continue improving our tours.     Stunning day tour of the Highlands , Glencoe and Loch Ness!

    We ( me and my husband) took a day trip on 12 September 2024 which covered the Scottish Highlands, Glencoe and the Loch Ness. We got some amazing views of the picturesque Scottish Highlands. The landscapes are mesmerising throughout the journey. The Cruise of the mysterious waters of Loch Ness was a feast to our eyes.
    Our driver Jada was so GOOD. She was extremely efficient and so warm to interact with. Our tour guide Robert was great too! Throughout the journey he told us about the rich history of Scotland and was funny to the core!!
    Overall an amazing experience 👌👌

    Glencoe and Loch Ness tour
    We booked this tour with Scottish tours, but you can also book direct with Timberrush, and our driver said it's probably cheaper as well. Our driver Steve b was very helpful and friendly with lots of good stories and information about the places we were visiting and the added bonus was the great weather we got on the tour which really added to the beautiful scenery around the Highlands. Our first stop was in a place called Luss that was on the edge of Loch Lomond, and we had about half an hour to get some photos of the area and some coffee for the drive. The next stop was just to get some photos of Rannoch Moor and Loch before our trip to Glencoe, where we stopped at the 3 sisters, the mountains around Glencoe, and the scenery was just breathtaking. The next stop on the road was Fort William, and from there, you could see Ben Nevis. After that, we headed to Spean Bridge, which was a small village that was used to train soldiers in the war, particularly Commandos and there's a Monument dedicated to the famous regiment. It's also a great place to view the Ben Nevis mountain ranges. The next stage of the tour takes us past the Caledonian canal systems that connected the lochs in the area and travels down to Fort Augustus, which is the start of Loch Ness. After a quick lunch we took the boat tour onto Loch Ness and we were treated to a very informative guide to the Loch and, of course the famous Nessie stories. The boat tour is just under an hour and then we headed back to our bus for the journey back to Glasgow. Not really much to see on the way back except for a quick pit stop in Bankfoot to see some Highland cows or coos in the local dialect. The scenery is amazing and we were lucky enough to have great weather all day with rainbows following our trip.

    Amazing tour of Scotland, from a local!

    Brilliant tour, Alistair was a lovely guide and gave us great stories about Scotland, and even though I’ve lived here for near enough 20 years, I still learned lots of new things! We had an amazing tour and definitely recommend going on this tour for anyone that wants a day away :)
