Geen goede value for money. De gids gaf veel uitleg maar je kon best met een goed gevulde maag aan de food tour beginnen want voor 129€ pp krijgje pas na enkele uren een baguette met kaas. De foie gras moesten we expleciet vragen en van een winetasting was ook geen sprake. We liepen wel fijne zaken van choclolade, macarons en koffie… gewoon voorbij of we kochten er zelf iets…. Niet aan te raden.

Tour ended one hour early. Not a good value for the money at all. Have done six other food tours in various cities across US and Europe and this was by far the most disappointing.

Thibaut was a very friendly and warm docent. He taught us about both modern and historical ideas. I loved seeing the Pantheon and hearing about Saint Genevieve as well as Louis XV. Tge food was excellent-croissants and coffee, breads, cheeses, wine!!! We were full, so if your tour starts at 9:00, don’t plan lunch until about 1:30. A rich experience!

Die reservierte Reise wurde vom Veranstalter 5 Tage vorher storniert, so dass wir keine Gelegenheit mehr hatten, eine Alternative in Deutsch zu finden.

My sister and I had an amazing time on this 9am food tour around the Latin Quarter with our guide, Christine. I booked several food tours for our first time to this amazing city and this one started us off on the right foot. This was basically a foodie trip with a couple sights thrown in and we couldn't have been happier. We got to taste many different pastries, breads, cheeses (my personal favorite) and wines.
Christine is super knowledgeable and there's nothing better than walking around a neighborhood with someone who knows the food and the histories of the food and city. I loved learning about the history of the croissant and the baguette and the differences between patisseries, brasseries, etc. Their quality control is out of this world. The food was great, but it wouldn't have been the same without a friendly, easy going, knowledgeable guide and Christine was amazing. She told stories and answered questions and even helped us and other group members with questions not related to the food tour.
I highly recommend this tour if it's your first time in Paris and want to eat some great food and learn about its histories. I recommend it even if you've been there before.

I just got back from where I and 6 others were supposed to meet our tour guide to go on a gourmet food/walking tour in Paris. I booked the tour through TripAdvisor and received and email confirming the tour. Vitatour the company that books the tour sent me emails telling me when and where to meet. I showed up early as did the others. We waited 20min before we started calling Vitatour. After being on hold, we got Ben on the line who said that the tour guide had to cancel due to an emergency, (which is unfortunate) however, not one of us ever received this information! Once we found this out we were told by the company that each one of us would have to call on our own to get a full refund. I headed back to my hotel and called Vitatour to start the process of my full refund. Not once did the representative apologies for the cancellation or the inconvenience of us waiting around for 20-30 min in the early morning hours on a very cold day. Not once did they say, they were sorry. What a major disappointment from this company. I will be sharing this bad display of bad customer service to all my friends on facebook and other social media sites. Be careful of booking with Trip Advisor and Vitatours!

This food tour was very disappointing. I did it with my adult daughter. To start with the positive, the stop at a farmers market was the highlight, getting to sample Lebanese stuffed bread, and the cheese, foie gras and wine served at the end delicious. But the tour in between not so good. I believe that several of the shops we would have stopped at were closed for the August holiday time so it was basically walking around for 2 hours. However our guide did not communicate this so I'm just guessing. He did talk the whole time but he did not take the time to engage with us or our interests and likes. It may have just been me, but I had a hard time engaging with what our guide was sharing. I would not recommend it.

We met our tour guide, Josie, in a shopping center in front of a cheese shop. She is American who has lived in France for years, so she was able to give us some interesting insights comparing life in Paris with life in the US. As we walked to different shops, she purchased items for us to eat at the end of the tour, and she pointed out interesting locations along the way.
We began our tour with a bakery, where we all got to choose a breakfast pastry. She described each one and the process of baking them. After that, we walked to a street market, where she described the French culture of shopping for food. We went into a meat shop and a cheese shop, and she pointed out how to look for the best restaurants based on their signs (everything prepared in-house, organic only, prestigious awards, etc).
We finished the tour at a wine shop. She prepared the fruit, bread, cheese, and foie gras for us as he let us sample some wines. We ate while she told us more about French food culture. She made recommendations for several shops and restaurants, and she made sure everyone knew how to get transportation to their next locations.
This tour wasn't exactly what I was expecting, but it was such a fun experience, and I loved learning so much about food in France. The food Josie chose and prepared was delicious, and she was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Really a great tour, from the guide to the shops selected to the food we got to try, everything was almost perfect (so it turns out I don't like offal and I wasn't the only one in our group). Group was made up of 10 couples, 4 Aussies, 6 from the US, and we all hit it off right from the start. Being a walking tour, you get time to meet the others in the group and the sit down 'dinner' at the end of the tour was wonderful . Can't recommend this tour enough - you learn how to find and choose the shops with the best produce (accreditation plaques and stickers and what they mean), you then get to try goods in each of them before going to a cellar where the 'dinner' takes place (it's not really designed as a complete meal but you get to try so much stuff, eating is ruled out for the rest of the day.)

This took us to many small shops and a market. We saw places in interesting ally ways and tried many foods. The guide spoke excellent English and explained the samples.
