Aaron was an exceptional tour guide with amazing knowledge, quick wit and passion for what he does. A must do for an overview of Berlin!

Artie was our tour guide from Birches Berlin(I may have the spelling wrong!) Was the best tour my spouse and I ever took. From the moment he picked us up from our hotel, we were walking and learning! There wasn’t a question that Artie was unable to answer and we had many questions. Highly recommend the tour and Artie!

Fine tour that covered all the basics very well
Very nice tour guide that was enjoyable to be around all day.

Much shorter than advertised. My tour was just over four hours. I was solo so maybe got through it more quickly but other tours like this usually give you the full time you hired a guide for and have ways to flesh a tour out in more detail or add other stops.
The level of depth is on par with the much cheaper small group tours I did.
Overall, the private tour is totally fine but doesn’t add much additional depth than the cheaper small group tours and is shorter than advertised.

Traveling solo and wanting a personalised experience, this was a phenomenal tour hosted by the charismatic, passionate and incredibly knowledgeable Cairan, whose story telling, especially of some incredibly dark history, has left a lasting impact on me. This is an ‘all in’ 6 hour history lesson and a hauntingly immersive experience on German history (around 1930s onwards). It was such a well-planned round trip of incredible memorials and places that would take quite a bit of research to try and compile on your own - worth every dollar! The Memorial of the Murdered Jews, will leave no heart untouched and Cairan’s respectfulness at letting you explore it on your own, was so appreciated, as you never know how you feel until you’re in the depths of it. I not only highly recommend this tour, but feel it is a must, especially if your stay in Berlin is short, as was mine. I have lasting memories that will never leave me, and thanks to Cairan a brand new account that has solidified my understanding. Thank you, Birchy for providing such a quality tour and of course, hiring the likes of Cairan!

Our tour guide Cairan was absolutely fantastic! The vast of knowledge and wealth of information he shared with us was outstanding. We really could have listened to him for hours. He was very accommodating to with the tour plan. Can't say enough about this tour but in summary many thanks to Cairan for giving us such a memorable experience, we greatly appreciate him.

Put on a pair of comfortable shoes and be ready to walk and walk through history. Our guide, Ciaran Ryan, was an absolutely amazing font of knowledge about the ancient and modern history of the area now known as Germany. My husband and I are fascinated with WWII history, and this tour satisfied our craving for Berlin-specific details about that terrible war, but as we went through various areas, Ciaran also took us step by step through the events that led up to to the many wars fought there, and about the economies, leaders and mind-sets of the people of the times. He was a joy to be with and we wish him the best in his main profession as an opera singer.

Outstanding walking tour of Berlin! Our guide Paul was so knowledgeable. Very professional & friendly. He did a great job answering our questions along with explaining the history & background of all the sights. Walked at a good pace. Thoroughly enjoyed the tour & being with Paul. Highly recommend!

Excellent and informative tour. Our guide Arthur was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was able to really educate us about all the history behind the sites we visited. Very enjoyable.

The tour with Hugo was fantastic, all thanks to Hugo.
His knowledge of the history of Berlin and the greater European area was exemplary and as a guide he was always checking with us if the pace was suiting us, any other questions we may have, any areas we wanted to focus more on, if we needed to use a restroom or get something to eat.
There was so much to absorb as we walked around the historical sections of Berlin, but Hugo brought it all to life with some very personal stories from the relevant era.
Easily the best guided tour we've ever been on, thanks so much Hugo!

We walked around Berlin with Cairan and it was fantastic! He was a storehouse of information about Berlin and German history as well as how it fits into the world history. My teenager was peppering him with random questions and Cairan had well thought out, nuanced answers for every single question. I would highly recommend this tour!

We did it all by foot, we were 4 people. The tour guide moves at whatever pace you choose, she was very accommodating. We even stopped for lunch.
