We hadn't planned to do the HOHO bus but as we were on the train to Toledo from Madrid the free (suggested donation) walking tour group we had booked with texted to say it had been cancelled as there weren't enough people signed up to make it worthwhile. We were left a bit high and dry, hadn't done any advance research and so signed up for the HOHO bus with 1 hour walking tour (€35 p.p.) with the representative on the Toledo railway platform. The English speaking walking tour was led by Alejandro was very good. He was engaging and clearly passionate about his home town and its history. We were fortunate there were only 5 of us so it was easy to hear him and keep together with the group. The bus part of the tour is quite short and to be honest I thought it was a bit overpriced but it suited us on the day so no complaints. When we'd had enough we got back on the bus and were transported back to the train station (which itself is quite charming)

This was a wonderful tour. We only had a few hours to spend in Toledo, so this helped us quickly get oriented and make the best use of our time. We picked up the bus right from the Toledo train station. It toured the perimeter of the city before bringing us to the main plaza (Zecodover), where we met our tour guide. She was WONDERFUL. She was a native Toledoan, who gave the tour in both Spanish and fluent English. We learned a great deal - much more than expected.

The attention of the drivers, both the guy with the beard and the dark-haired man, was wonderful. We thank him for the photo he took of us on the night of 06/03/2024 on the San Martín bridge at night. We will definitely repeat it on our next return to Toledo and I recommend it 100%... Thank you very much for the kindness that there is very little nowadays

The views and the bus service itself have been very good, however when purchasing the ticket, Conchi assisted us in Plaza Zocodover, who convinced us that we would save by purchasing a package that includes a bracelet for entry to 7 monuments in Toledo.
Not only did he overcharge us (€35 per person when the bus costs €20 and the bracelet costs €12) but he also did not inform us that we must always wear the bracelet. Not being able to see all the monuments on the first day, we left 3 visits for the next morning. We wanted to remove the bracelet to shower and go out to dinner, but there was no other option but to cut it off. Since it has a chip, and not having the information, we thought we could show the chip and access the monuments and restaurants, but it was not possible.
So not only did we miss the visits, but he scammed us by overcharging us.
Disappointing

The bus was waiting outside of the train station when my train arrived and since I wasn’t sure how far the walk into town was, I decided to pay what seemed like a very high price (35 euro - I’ve done huge cities throughout the world for much less). The bus only has 10 stops and the only one that I probably wouldn’t have made it to walking on my own, was the view point overlooking the city. They also offer a short a walking tour in the city center. Our guide, Alejandro, was very friendly and knowledgeable but the groups were really big. I walked back to the train station at the end of the day and realized how quick and easy it was. Bottom line, while i typically think the Hop On/Off is a great way to explore a city, you definitely don’t need it for Toledo and given its high price point, I wouldn’t recommend it.

We mistakenly got lured in to buying tickets at train station in Toledo. Not worth it as you still have to walk to all the major places of historical importance. It does make a stop at Mirador del Vale long enough for taking plenty of pictures. We got off at the Alcazar and walked down to all the major sights as the free tour they offer did not fit in with our schedule. In hind sight we should have negotiated a taxi from station to Plaza Zocodover with a photo stop at Mirador del Vale.

There are only 2 buses, the application to see where they come is imprecise, slow and useless. The buses do not stop at all the designated and signposted stations, so they are of very little use for the price. The only positive thing was the attention of Wellington, who was very kind and friendly.

No comprendo, si es un tour que se supone puedo empezar y terminar en cualquier parada y puedo además hacer la visita a la catedral y a pie. A que se refiere el HORARIO DE LAS 11 HORAS?
Otra pregunta entre las paradas está el Alcazar, incluye la entrada al mismo? o solo es una parada mas sin entrada?
Soy de Argentina si lo compro desde mi pais
lo pago en pesos argentinos o en dolares?

El billete del bus tiene varias opciones y precios, yo concretamente cogí el que incluía la entrada al Alcazar.
Lo de la magia es como un pase en el que cuentan el aspecto mágico de Toledo, y eso sí que es a una hora específica (cuando estuve yo, era a las 23 horas, creo)
Y lo que no te sabría contestar, es a la moneda de pago, ya que yo lo hice en euros

En que momento se realizan estas 2 visitas?.
Hay un horario especifico en que se realicen estas visitas guiadas?
Entiendo que el bus hace varios recorridos y va parando, en que momento hace las visitas guiadas?

Yo escoji la visita guiada de la catedral y fue lo mejor que pude hacer. Sarah Maria es una de la guias y ella es muy buena. Si fue a una hora expecifica y ellos te pueden dar recomendacion de a que hora debes estar en la plaza para seguir junto al guia. Asi aseguras tomar el bus y coordinar tu llegada a tiempo.

Hola, estuve mirando las paradas del Bus. Según la descripción del tour, incluye una visita guiada a la Catedral, pero no figura en las paradas del Bus. ¿En qué momento se realiza la visita guiada a la Catedral entonces?

En mi caso a la salida de la estación de tren estaba 3l autobús. Allí te explican todo: las horas densas visitas, las paradas estratégica y el punto de encuentro. Todo está muy bien organizado.

The bus is to large to fit in most parts of the city.

Si está incluido a entrada al Alcázar, pero el miércoles está cerrado, aunque también se puede visitar el museo del ejército donde se pueden diferentes colecciones de miniaturas militares así como la historia que envuelve El Alcázar en el año 1936 por los bombardeos acometidos por el ejército republicano, etc.
Y muchas más cosas que tendrás que descubrir. Un saludo

Depende del lugar en el mirador es el lugar donde más tiempo está parado. Tu puedes bajar a visitar el lugar que quieras y luego subir en el siguiente.

Most of the sights to really explore are going to be in the center of the old town so you can exit the bus at the Alcazar and walk to everything from there. However, unless you ride the bus to the outskirts of the city you just won't have the perspective or photo ops.
