We absolutely loved the two wineries that Mariana chose for us! Each winery shared unique, premium wines that we have not tried before. We bought several bottles and wished that we could have taken home more.

My husband and I had a wonderful tour with Mariana. Her knowledge of wine and relationship with the wineries we visited enhanced the experience we had on a short trip in Barcelona. We hope to return one day and would definitely do another tour with her!

Dear Lauren, thanks for your having taken the time to drop us a marvellous review. The difference of our wine tasting experiences, is the fact that we visit "our wineries" or as close as owning them. We feel at home because we have a close friendship is all the wineries' owners we go to. We would love to see you again when you return to Barcelona or at another one of the new wine regions we are covering now. Best wishes!

This was my second wine tour with Winenium and once again they did not disappoint. I have done wine tours in Napa, Virginia, and Burgandy France etc, and I can honestly say this topped them all.
There were 17 of us and We visited 3 wineries near sitges. Each winery experience was private and there were no crowds etc, very exclusive. Mariana knows all of the local winemakers and together they truly went above and beyond to make sure we had the perfect day. This was by far the highlight of our trip and we will definitely book with Mariana again and again. If you like wine, stop reading this and just book it!!
PS- last year I did the sailing and wine tour, also spectacular. The winery we visited overlooks the sea, stunning views, amazing as well.

Vi fik en helt igennem fremragende vin tur til Penedes med vores guide Beatriz. Vi blev samlet op centralt i Barcelona og kørt rundt i en komfortabel van med air condition. Winenium havde planlagt 2 rigtig gode besøg, hvoraf det ene var valgt efter vi kom fra Danmark da stedet havde en relation hertil. Beatriz var en meget venlig, smilende og engageret guide, der under vejs fortalte om området og vine. Vi blev taget rigtig godt i mod begge de steder vi besøgte og fik nogle gode og informative rundvisninger i både marker og kælder. Begge steder var der rig mulighed for at stille spørgsmål. Vi var meget begejstrede for de vine vi fik smagt og så lærte vi (måske som nogle af de første) om Corpinnat. En helt igennem perfekt oplevelse som kun kan anbefales.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with Mariana and Winenium. We "interviewed" several wine tour guides (via email) and Mariana was the only one willing to custom design a tour for our specific requests. She hit all the marks we asked for and provided us with a first-class experience.
We wanted boutique wineries and personalized tours, which is exactly what Mariana arranged. One of our tours was led by the winemaker herself! Fabulous.
Mariana is beyond knowledgeable about wines and wineries but is not a "wine snob." Our day with Mariana and Winenium was truly the highlight of our four day holiday in Barcelona.
Our experience with Winenium was so outstanding, my company is considering hiring them to arrange a special event when we host a partners' meeting in Barca in the Fall. We cannot say enough good things about Mariana and Winenium. They are fantastic!

My wife and I had a great time and loved the vineyards we visited. Our guide was as knowledgeable as she was pleasant to spend the day with and the wines were so good that we took several bottles back with us. This is a perfect way to have a calm and luxurious tasting experience without traveling far. We will use this company again for future tours. Everything was wonderful!

Tony thanks for your kind review and description. The aim of a private tour is exactly that: wine tasting at your leisure, where you are the main guest. We stay away from large group tours, as we want each customer to experience as if they were visiting a friend’s home town, where you are shown the best spots and wineries we have great friendship with. See you when you come back to Barcelona.

We highly recommend Winenium! Mariana arranged tours and tastings with tapas at two beautiful boutique wineries in the Penedes region, one Cava and one still wines. We had a lovely time and were well taken care of from start to finish.

We struggled to find a wine tour and finally settled on this one and couldn't have been more pleased with our selection. The host was absolutely amazing - she was extremely welcoming and did a great job planning an awesome day at the vineyards. We could not have been more happy with our day and really look forward to going back to Spain and booking more tours through this company. I have been to many different wine regions and this company was by far the best. I highly recommend this and strongly suggest you consider taking one of these tours. You will not be disappointed.

My family of five booked the small winery and tapas tour. We upgraded to the luxury vehicle option which was a large, comfortable van with a private driver. The tour started with Mariana, the owner and founder, meeting us at our hotel in the lobby of the Mandarin Oriental. Mariana is a bundle of energy and a real joy to spend the day with. She took us about an hour outside of Barcelona to a small winery focused on Cava. We had a private tour followed by a tasting. It was clear that Mariana has developed a real friendship with the winery owners and staff. They were sincerely warm, informative, funny and a treat to talk to. Our second winery was a unique gem of a winery. The winery was originally a villa dating back to the third century when it was a stopping point on a road leading to Rome. This winery can best be described in US terms like a "cult" winery -- small batches, highly personalized, biodynamic, low impact to the environment. The grapes are unusual and the methods harmonize traditional wine making with modern tools. The whole production area is a site to see and one of the most interesting tours we have been on over the years. The whole process is gravity fed and built into a small mountain. From the outside you don't realize the size and scope of what they are doing under the old villa. In fact, the best way to describe the whole "hidden" facility is like something out of a James Bond movie.
We ended the tour at the villa with some wonderful tapas and a full sampling of wines. What a treat to see the harmony of a villa that was started in the third century working in harmony with nature and some modern technology.
Bottom line, this was a great day. Mariana makes it fun and easy. You can see how she has carefully curates the experiences. I would highly recommend this for anyone loving wine or just interested in a trip outside of Barcelona.

Thanks a lot to Xavi and Mariana for organzing this wonderful trip. The visit to Montserrat was really good with the right pace, all possible comforts with a very friendly atmosphere.
And then the wine tasting at the Jean Leon winery was excpeitonally good: the lady responsible at the winery was really knowledgable: wines and food just fantastic.
We would recommend it to anyone with a day to be outside Barcelona. Thank you so very much!
