A massive thankyou to Tony and Lucio. We had an amazing full day in Pompeii, Herculaneum and Mt Vesuvius. Tony was first class (communication, timing, knowledge of the area and friendliness throughout the day) and Lucio the Pompeii tour guide was an invaluable addition to the day (amazing knowledge and great fun also). We thoroughly enjoyed the full day experience and would not hesitate in recommending.

Six of us had a private tour with Tony as our driver and Rosemary as our guide. Rosemary was very knowledgeable and was able to tell us many stories about the history of Pompeii and Herculaneum. We had many questions, and she always had an answer. Her knowledge of Pompeii and Herculaneum was impressive.
We had multiple trips with Tony driving. In addition to the Vesuvius, Pompeii and Herculaneum trip we also used Tony’s service to drive us to and from our hotel in Sorrento to the Napoli Centrale train station. He was very knowledgeable about the area and had plenty of things to talk about as we were driving. He was always very prompt in arriving on time to pick us up.
Both Tony and Rosemary spoke very good English so we had no trouble understanding them throughout our tours.

During our private tour of Pompeii and Herculaneum with Tony as our driver and Rosemary as our expert guide, we were treated to a wealth of knowledge and insights into the history and culture of the ancient Romans.
Rosemary's expertise as an archaeologist and her experience excavating Pompeii allowed her to provide us with a deep understanding of the sites. She was able to explain the layout of the towns, the technology and engineering of the aqueducts and public baths, and the daily life of the people who lived in Pompeii and Herculaneum. Her knowledge and passion for the subject were truly impressive, and we were lucky to have such an expert guide.
One of the highlights of the tour was the beautiful mosaics and paintings that we saw throughout the sites. The intricate designs and bright colors of the mosaics were truly stunning, and the paintings on the walls of the villas and public buildings were equally impressive. These works of art provided a glimpse into the daily life and culture of the Romans, and it was fascinating to see how much attention was paid to decoration and aesthetics.
Another surprise on our tour was learning about the existence of brothels in Pompeii. It was fascinating to hear from Rosemary that the Romans considered them to be a normal part of daily life, and that they were marked with phallic symbols on the walls.
Overall, Tony and Rosemary made an excellent team. Tony was a courteous and professional driver who provided us with interesting facts and information about the area, while Rosemary's expertise and passion for the subject made the tour truly unforgettable. We left with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the history and culture of ancient Rome, and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in archaeology or history.

The guide, Daniel, picked me up at my hotel in a beautiful, roomy Mercedes. He was just great. We went to Vesuvius and from there to Herculaneum. There we met Rosemary. She was a very knowledgeable guide. We toured Herculaneum for two hours and then to Pompeii. It was a long day but both Rosemary and Daniel were delightful. Daniel dropped me at my hotel and returned later that night with a sweater I had left in the car. I can’t say enough good things about the service.
