Amazing…. Rini was a pleasure and an excellent guide. Giovanni in Firenze was extremely knowledgeable and offered a lot of history and information. Highly recommend!!

Max and Cessa were amazing, nothing was too much trouble, they provided an excellent trip, from an early start with collection at hotel, to the tour of Pisa and then Florence until being dropped back at the hotel, they treated you as friends/guests rather than customers. They provided insights to local tradition and the Italian lifestyle. Definitely recommended.

This tour was a last minute addition to our family vacation to Rome and we are so glad we chose it. Pick up and drop off at our accommodation was seamless. Our driver, Florin, was excellent, knowledgable, and very friendly. He gave us a nice overview of the Italian countryside while driving. Sylvia, our tour guide in Florence was great. Her passion for the art and history of Florence, her home, was evident. She added additional stops to ensure each, family of 6 - with young adults and teens, got to see what we requested. We were given an historically correct, well informed, whirlwind tour of beautiful Florence. Florence really deserves more time to absorb all it has to offer, but for the limited time we were there we could not have done more. Pisa was short, sweet, and worth the trip. Two out of six declared Florence the best part of the entire vacation! Thank you!

This tour was excellent! Pino(tour guide) and Adam(driver) were great! They were on time and we had a very good time there and back! We stayed in Pisa for about a hour and then headed to Florence! When we got to Florence we ate lunch at a place called “Vecchio Mercato” it was SO good. The pasta is made fresh every morning. We went to meet a local tour guide that showed us EVERYTHING. After we had gelato and took pictures at the top of Florence. It was beautiful! Highly recommended!

Wonderful private tour of Pisa and Florence from Rome! Antoinette was delightful and had a great knowledge of the history of the region which she shared en route to our destinations. Giovanni, the guide in Florence, was exceptional! His knowledge of the arts and history of Florence was amazing and truly unforgettable! I’m looking forward to booking another tour with Welcome Italy in the future. They were really a pleasure to travel with.

We were limited with time and concerned with lines and the never ending stream of bus tours! Thankfully we found this tour through Welcome Italy! Our tour guide Dora was wonderful. The van picked us up at our hotel and we set off to Pisa. We were not able to get breakfast before we left the hotel so the driver stopped along the way to get coffe and croissants! Once we arrived to Pisa, Dora picked up our tickets and we were on our way. From there we went to Florence had lunch and walked with our tour guide in Florence. Dora stayed with us the entire day and was able to book another tour for us the following day. I can see why there are not many reviews on this tour as it is more expensive than some of the other tours, but it is so worth the convenience of having a driver and tour guide! Also included was skip the line with this tour, a must with any tour in Italy as the lines can take forever! I would highly recommend doing this!

The tour guide was very friendly and bubbly. She was conversational and personal, but seemed to be very new to this tour. She had to ask the van driver or another tour guide to get answers to our questions. The van driver drove carelessly weaving in and out of traffic even using inappropriate hand gestures to other drivers. It was a frightful experience. The tour guide made reservations for lunch for us which was amazing. However on the way back to Rome she asked to be dropped off at the airport to meet someone, which was about 45 minutes out of the way. She was very kind and appreciative, however it felt very unprofessional. By the end of the tour we were frustrated and tired of being in the van. Our tour was over 2 hours late returning to Rome.

We are sorry you didn't feel at ease. The driver is always very carefully with the van and the customers ...as for the inappropriate hand gesture with the colleagues, we will check what happened with him.
As for the guide, it's true that she is a new entry in our company but she was already a tour escort for other companies.
Unfortunately, the stop in Fiumicino airport was authorized by our company because you were on late and she had an evening assistant' service at the airport. We know that it's not professional but we did it just because we didn't want she lost her work/service. We really apologize for this inconvenience and we are happy to confirm you a reduction for your next tour with us booking directly and showing this reply.

Booked this tour through Viatour along with 2 other full day tours in Rome and from Rome to Pompeii/Sorrento (all with different local tour operators).
Unfortunately I had a bad fall during our Rome tour, and ended up having to rent a wheelchair to move around. Our hotel concierge called Welcome Italy to ask them if they could accommodation customers with wheelchairs for the Pisa/Florence Tour and we were told they could. On the day of the tour, Andrew met us at the hotel, took one look at the wheelchair and promptly started to tell us that the minivan was full and that it would be difficult to accommodate the wheelchair.
Additionally, although the tour details outline that it was a hotel pickup, we were informed that the driver could not navigate the minivan to the front of the hotel since the streets were narrow, so we had to walk from the hotel to the minivan.
Seriously??? If the other 2 tour operators (Raphael Tours & Italian Life Tours) we used had no problems in picking us up at the front of the hotel, why did this driver have issues when the minivan size was the same for all operators?? I tried to explain this to Andrew but he was not prepared to listen. So I dropped out, and told my family to continue with the tour since I did not want them to spoil their vacation. When the family returned in the evening, they advised that the tour was a waste of time/money (there was another couple on the tour who also felt dissapointed with the tour). The guide was too busy socializing with another guide during the tour, and basically left the tourists to their own devices. Oh and the driver yet again refused to drop my family at the front of the hotel in the evening, which meant they had to walk back.
A truly disappointing experience, during an otherwise excellent vacation. My recommendation to Viatour would be to not use this operator again if this is how they treat customers with special needs/disabilities.

Can my son and I buy a ticket to return by train to Rome at the end of the tour instead of using the mini van to return?
