Driver was friendly prompt and professional. Our ride to the dock was stress free and a great way to start our European holiday.

Horrible company that canceled our shuttle to cruise night before! Don’t ever use them. I’d give zero stars if I could. They won’t give a time for pickup either

We booked this transfer through Trip Advisor. Booking was simple. On the day we were to be picked up, our driver was late. Approximately thirty minutes after our appointed pickup time, our driver called and informed us he was running late. It was not a problem, arrived at our ship in plenty of time. Driver was very informative. He helped us with our baggage and assisted us with the cruise porters.
I would use this service again.

Our pick up time was set for 11am, but this company does a poor job communicating time changes with their customers. They changed our pick up time to 12:30pm without notifying us. Instead what we got was a phone call from one of their agents that the driver was running late and will pick us up around 1pm. We had no idea the time was changed to 12:30pm to begin with. The agent stated the time was changed to accommodate us om boarding the ship on time around 2pm otherwise we would be waiting had we gotten there too early. That was nice of them to do that but they never notified us about time change when I had originally booked for 11am pick up from hotel. Overall, I give it an average rating - they need to improve communications with their customers.....after all, the transfer is not cheap!

Easy booking process. Operator sent confirmation email a day before scheduled pick-up to confirm time. Driver arrived on time as scheduled. Put our luggage in the back of a very nice clean van. He pointed out sites of interest on the way out of the city. Drove us right up to walk way to board ship. If you take a train or cab they drop you off a fair way from this and you have to take your luggage. It is more costlier but the comfort and security was worth it. Would do it again

First of all I never write a review, however, the experience my friends and family had with Romaetravel compelled me to write this, hoping I could save another traveler the headache we experienced and are still going through.
I first booked travel to and from a Hotel in Rome to the Cruise port, since we were only in Rome for a day and half each side of the trip I wanted to schedule tours with our travel company. This is when I reached out to Romaetravel, they were the company that was awarded our fair from the online site we booked travel through. I let them know that our party of 4 was looking to see the Vatican and Colosseum. I requested that our transportation driver pick us up around 8-9am the day we left on the cruise, take us to one of the sites and provide a private tour and when we return once picked up from the cruise ship take us on to the other site. Romaetravel responded stating that they could arrange such a tour. They replied with the overall itinerary, we would have a driver pick us up at 9am, he would have an english speaking guide with them and the 4 people in our party would be treated to a private skip the line tour of the Vatican then take us to the cruise ship. They then laid out the return trip, same thing, driver would pick us 9am at the cruise port along with a english speaking guide and we would then head to the Colosseum for our private skip the line tour. Exactly what I was looking for, emailed back confirming everything, restating the locations for pick up and what we would be seeing on each tour, the times, and the fact that we would have a driver and guide, this way we could leave our luggage in the van so as not to worry about making our disembarking time. To my pleasant surprise they confirmed (bullet pointing everything on their email we would receive).
So, now the painful part, so I thought. What is the cost, 900 euros, wow, high for what we wanted but if we were getting the private service, a driver and guide, and able to have our luggage with us for the tours I was okay with paying 20-30% more.
I then prepaid the 900 euros and confirmed the trip again with our expectations (all of them). The day of the Vatican tour is here, we gather our things check out of the hotel and wait for the driver, he was to show up at 9am, however, did not arrive until after 10. He also was alone, didn't speak english, didn't know he was to be with us the entire day, and could not take our luggage. At this time Romaetravel wanted us to leave our luggage at the hotel, (could have been done if the driver was on time) however, at this point we were running the risk of missing the all aboard time for our cruise if we completed the entire tour. After almost an hour on the phone and many suspicious disconnects our driver had to leave and we canceled our tour for the day as well as the return transportation and tour.
Romaetravel begged to make it up to us, wanted us to keep our tour on the books when we returned. We continued to let them know we would not run the risk of not seeing anything in Rome due to their inability to meet our needs and requirements. Through texts with their reps we let them know the only way they could start to make this right and restore some small amount of confidence in their company was to ensure a refund was processed for the entire amount. They confirmed this would be done.
As of June 5th we have still not seen this refund, (tour was paid for May 8th and to take place May 16th and 23rd, canceled on May 16th). Again I reached out to them via email giving them the opportunity to make it right with a confirmation of credit, still no response.
As I stated I hope I can save some other travelers the headache we have had with this company. I should have read some of their reviews, not too may good ones, if I did I may have not been in this position. I am sure there are many companies that have a great rating on this site, if I were you I would go with them and not Romaetravel.

Our driver was on time (even early by Italian standards) and drove us directly to the port with no problems. We left at a convenient time for us and arrived with plenty of time to spare with no rush or stress.

Is Rome Marriott Park Hotel in the area you provide transfer to the Civitavecchia Port?

This company on Viator provides transfers from most Rome hotels to the Port. Best thing would be to create an account on viator, email them the question before you book, but they do ask where to pick to you up (hotel/day/time etc) when you book the private car.
