Booked a small tour with Viator from a Travel Advisor search. Italy Wonders SRLS was the contracted tour guide. When we arrived to the meeting area there were over 100 people. It was chaotic and confusing with no clear communication or direction of where to find your specific tour group. When we finally found a English speaker we were told our tour group had left us along with 6 others. No refund given. Don’t book with this company. They are disorganized and have zero customer service.

What a joke! First, our guide started the "tour" late and had us all gallop towards Forum Romanum. We could hardly hear him over headpieces, which he blamed on the wind. He never slowed down to explain anything or give us time to take pictures. We were at the end of our group and after going through security check, we found ourselves left in the middle of Roman Forum without our group anywhere to be found. There were seven of us, a third of the whole group, left behind. The guide never waited for all of us to get through the security. I suppose he didn't bother to make sure we were all accounted for. We are talking 30% of his group! To make things worse, our daughter, who stayed at the front of the group, was separated from us at this point. We tried calling her but her phone was not working well in Italy. We called the office number and the ladies there tried contacting the guide but he would not answer his phone. After we finally got in touch with our daughter, the group was already in Colosseum. We are talking 15 minutes the "guide" spent in Forun Romanum!!! This place is a few thousand years old and this guy ran through it in 15 minutes. Afterwards, when I asked our daughter about it, she said she did not learn anything about it during the tour. When she tried to make the guide aware that he left all of us behind, he scolded her for talking too loud and told her he would not interrupt the tour to even talk to us on the phone. If this is how a "guided tour" works, than you might as well save your money and buy your own tickets. Anyway, we were offered a new tour that day - with the same guide. We refused it for obvious reasons and the ladies at the office sent us skip-the-line tickets to Forum Romanum and Colosseum. Six of us went ahead to tour the forum (and learned a lot from information posted all over the place) while I waited for our daughter at the exit from the Colloseum for an hour. She came out with other people from our group but the guide never showed up. I would expect him to apologize and explain the situation to us but maybe he had nothing to justify his actions. On top of it, the tour ended in 2 hours, even though it was supposed to last 3. That means he had the time to spare and actually give the tour. I would give the experience a zero if it was possible. I guess the one star goes to the ladies in the office for trying to contact the guide and sending us tickets. We actually learned a lot on our own and were able to take the time to truly appreciate this wonderful place. Save your money and get your own skip-the-line tickets and immerse yourself in the experience that it can be.

We could barely understand anything the tour guide was saying. Forgot her name but she was an older woman. Please get someone who can actually speak and enunciate English words properly to lead an English guided tour. We eventually gave up on trying to discern whatever she was saying and tried to google our way through the history of the colosseum and roman forum ourselves because she wasn’t explaining anything properly.
She was also incredibly rude - she was rushing through the exhibits and the and we got left behind trying to squeeze through the crowd to read the text. When we later caught up, she told us off IN FRONT OF THE ENTIRE TOUR GROUP, INTO THE MIC, and told us that if we wanted to wander off on our own, we should just return the headset and radio to her and leave the group. It was calculated to embarrass us in front of everyone and her behaviour was extremely unprofessional. We would have left if we hadn’t already paid for the guided tour, and didn’t want to let the money we had paid go to waste. However, I regret booking this tour and I cannot in good faith ever recommend anyone else to do the same. If you need to, book a tour through another agency. This was a horrible experience for me and my family. The only thing we learned from this guided tour is to never book a guided tour again. If you do book a guided tour, know that the tour will depend heavily on your luck and which tour guide you get.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR! It was not worth the “guided” tour at all because not a single thing was guided. We would have been better off booking our own tickets and going alone. The company that our tour was booked through is Touristation Roma and our guide was Mariana. This was the most anticipated part of our trip to Rome and we were completely let down. The tour promised 15 ppl max— we had 40+ ppl in ours. It started late. The guided was impossible to understand and she kept pointing out that Roman’s did “things” here. What things? Nothing was described. She took multiple phone calls that blared through our headsets. We were rushed. She didn’t know where the entrance or exit were. We paid for arena view and she only stopped to let us see it when people started complaining that we skipped it as she tried to hurry us to the forum. Eventually a bunch of us left the tour and decided to explore on our own because it was so frustrating. When we went back to the ticket office to express our concerns we were met with utter rudeness from the desk staff. We had booked another tour through them and tried to get out money back after we had such a bad experience for the first one and they refused even though we were cancelled with more than 24 hours notice on our ticket (we said free cancelation up to 24 hours before!) This was hands down the worst tour company and if I could rate it zero stars I would!! Do NOT book! You’ve been warned!

I first want to thank Elena who not only provided great service but helped us get an earlier time. If it wasn’t for her, we would have missed seeing the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. 100% recommend booking tours here, you’ll get the best service and the best price as well.

My two teens, husband and I booked a Colosseum and Forum tour through here. It was very easy to find the spot to meet our guide, Fabio.
Let me tell you, you will get your money’s worth with this tour and guide! Fabio is SO knowledgeable and presents history in such a fascinating, engaging and, at times, humorous way. We learned so much on this tour!
During previous trips, we did not use a guide thinking we could just read the signs and learn about the Colosseum and Forum on our own. Having Fabio as our guide totally transcended any of our prior experiences.
I would give this tour a 10/10. If you are visiting, this is a MUST do. Support these amazing local guides especially after the last two years!
Let me tell you, you will get your money’s worth with this tour and guide! Fabio is SO knowledgeable and presents history in such a fascinating, engaging and, at times, humorous way. We learned so much on this tour!

Pessimo, prenotazione fatta e confermata 2 giorni prima. È stata annullata da VIATOR lo stesso giorno della visita mezz'ora prima dell'entrata. Sconsiglio a tutti VIATOR. vergogna!!!!!
