Fin tur til Etna
Det var en fin tur. Vi ble hentet til avtalt tid og guiden var hyggelig og snakket godt engelsk. Når vi kom opp til Etna, var det flere alternativer vi kunne velge for å komme nærmere he høyeste kraterene. Vi valgte taubane. Smaking på de lokale produktene på vei tilbake, var hyggelig og mye man kunne kjøpe!

Spettacolare Ortigia. Dopo la visita alla Neapolis di Siracusa non può mancare la visita al Castello, alle viuzze della

Ortigia è spettacolare. Indimenticabile la visita alla Cattedrale, eretta sul tempio greco dedicato ad Athena. I resti del tempio sono ben visibili con una serie di stupende colonne. Da visitare anche la cappella laterale dedicata a Santa Lucia. Da non trascurare il Battistero posizionato alla destra dell'entrata.

Fun With Lorena In Siracusa And Noto...

My wife and I were staying in Taormina for a week and wanted to take a few tours of Sicily during that time. We figured a combination of Siracusa and Noto would be nice so we signed up a few months in advance.

Pros:
- Lorena, the guide, was knowledgeable, friendly and charming…just what we appreciate in a leader. She was also flexible and updated part of our itinerary in response to members of our tour.

- The tour left a fairly easy to reach part of Catania and was well paced giving us an appropriate amount of time. We saw highlights of Siracusa - the fish market and Ortigia were the best - with plenty of room to walk in Noto at our leisure.

- Lorena was always available to answer questions and offer recommendations

- The cost was reasonable…especially considering the hours of driving

Cons:
- It was a long day. We left our hotel in Taormina at 725 AM and reached the van in Catania at 905 AM (Monday morning traffic and construction was just like the US). We got back to our car in Catania at 645 PM and still had more than an hour left to reach our hotel…but that was our choice. I didn’t find any tours of Siracusa and Noto from Taormina.

- Even though the main highway was closed for repairs and the day dragged on (a con), Lorena regaled us with tales of growing up in the area (a pro).

I’d recommend this tour to everyone interested in Siracusa and Noto - particularly if they’re staying in Catania and have Lorena as their guide.

Lorena our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. It was, a fun tour only spoiled by the weather. Rained for most of the day, but she brought a smile to our faces. The sights where awesome, with Noto being our highlight. Highly recommended.

Not worth €93 at all!!
Not worth €93 at all!! The tour guide was lovely but the tour was rushed, the food market was basic and the food we ordered was not nice at all, the places we visited were pretty but we didn’t get any time to explore the markets and stalls as the tour guide kept stopping to talk, by the time we got to the archeological site, we had been walking in 35 degrees and had no energy for it, it should have been at the start of the trip.

All in all, we were incredibly disappointed and don’t think this tour is worth €93 at all, €50 maybe but definitely not €93, I’ve requested my money back - when you book tours you expect to get your moneys worth, I have not at all and would not recommend this tour at all.

Dear Nina, we are sorry that you found a hot day, unfortunately, in Sicily during the summer season we can not guarantee fresh walks, but we do our best to provide the most pleasant experience possible to our guests. We will treasure your suggestion to rethink the steps of the tour to be less tiring. However, a guided tour implies that the guide gives some information during the activity, so maybe you should have chosen another type of service if you did not want to have more explanations and visit the market stalls freely. We consider it unfair you evaluate 50 € for a guided tour of 9 hours, with a certified guide trying to pass on her/his knowledge to the guests, which includes many trips by minivan (for a total duration of several hundred kilometers), and the entrance ticket to the archaeological park (only this costs €10 per person). We hope however that the places that the guide has allowed you to see remain in your best memories. Best regards

Fantastica esperienza che non dimenticherò!

Sono stata a Siracusa, Ortigia e Noto con mia madre, accompagnate dalla guida esperta di Lorena di Etnatribe. È stata un'esperienza meravigliosa. Lorena è una guida molto professionale, dolce, comprensiva, altamente qualificata, cortese e disponibile. La sua gentilezza e preparazione durante il percorso mi ha colpito molto. Abbiamo avuto modo di gustare del cibo genuino e locale in un'area di Ortigia molto folcloristica, osservare le bellissime grotte di Ortigia in barca per mezzo di una gita ad un modico prezzo extra. Ci siamo poi trattenuti a Noto, dove senza fretta abbiamo potuto visitare i principali monumenti del bellissimo centro. Consiglio a tutti i turisti e visitatori della Sicilia di affidarsi al gruppo Etnatribe senza cercare altrove.

Highly recommend this tour with Nando. You won't regret it. One of the best trips we had in Italy!

Nando was an excellent guide. One of (if not) the best we had experienced while in Italy. He is engaging, sincere, and passionate about what he tells you. I highly highly recommend this tour if you want a day trip from Catania. We had a long, exciting day. We even got to see a wedding at the church in Ortigia. Thank you, Nando. This tour was highly memorable!

Great way to see Noto and Syracuse in one day

An enjoyable tour with our wonderful guide Lorena, who picked up our group in Catania, and drove us to Noto and then Syracuse. We had time in both places to see the buildings, visit some places of interest and try some local food and treats. In Ortigia (the stunning island that is part of Syracuse) we had the opportunity to take a boat ride at additional cost, or stay in Ortigia. Either option was good, as those who stayed in the town had more time to explore and try some amazing food. I took the boat ride which was great. We also visited the ancient Greek city of Syracuse and then were dropped back in Catania. I highly recommend this tour if you are time constrained, as it would be very difficult to see all these places in one day otherwise. Lorena was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and made the day a good memory.
