Finally we made it to quincho beach! My little one (8year) was stoked about his first surf lesson! He wants to come back for more. Great people, good vibes, perfect lesson! Thanks a lot for make his first experience so cool!

Amazing experience from start to finish. Beautiful setting on Guincho Beach. Really friendly and energetic staff and made to feel super welcome. Thanks to Alex and his team especially Zachary who was the kids Surfing hero 🏄♂️💪 Great first time Surfing experience and I would highly recommend Moana 😍

A bg thanks to Alex and his team for accommodating our group on the waves in August - we were a mix of first timers and intermediates but Alex quickly assessed our abilities and it was off to the races! The company seems to be the best in the area in terms of communicatin and speed of response for emails as well which is why we went with Moana, and all at a pretty reasonable price. We will be back! Thanks, Olly

Huge thanks to Alex and everyone at Moana - our boys (7 and 10) are hooked on surfing and it is all thanks to the care, affection, warmth and of course brilliant teaching, of their crew.
A 5 lesson package meant we got to experience surfing in different conditions on different boards and with different teachers. Adonai, Rui, Thiago, Lucas and finally Tomi all brought different perspectives and skills to the teaching but all were kind, caring, extremely protective of our boys, (the youngest is type 1 diabetic so this is always a concern) and FUN!
Special thanks to Adonai, the first teacher. All the boys could say through their laughter was how kind he was and how they wanted to do their classes with him. Thiago, who took two lessons with the boys, whose leadership, charisma, kindness and compassion shine through, to Lucas who got the biggest technical results from the boys with precise teaching and an infectious passion for the sport and to Tomi, who took the last class, for closing the deal with a lesson full of fun, laughter and genuine delight as the boys honed their new found skills. To the rest of the support team that help create an amazing vibe around the shop, you all rock.
Moana surf school delivered an experience we will cherish forever and we believe will set our boys off into the world of surfing. As a wise man told us, ‘the best surfer is the happiest surfer’ and on this basis, we have the best surfers in the world thanks to these guys.

We are a bit disappointed with how the lesson went. Almost no guidance and before-water preparations, there were 15-20 participants, which is definitely to much for beginners. The group was also mixed with beginners and mid-level surfers. No safety measurements. We felt us lost in the water. Instead of 2-3 hours of surfing practice the lessons had last just 1,5 h. Hard to recommend this school.. There are plenty of others schools around to go with.

Full fat 5 stars in every aspect! We have been surfing with Moana from zero to bigger waves in three weeks, being taken care of at every step and led through all the way.
But in details:
1. Instructors at Moana Surf School are amazing. Each and everyone of them will ignite the love of surfing in you, will motivate you for the next step and progress ands what is most important in surfing will have a lot of fun with you. They love what they do and you are able to feel that through their engagement and attention. You will feel among them like a friend, a younger brother or sister, a best buddy. Sometimes like a mother and father - but that's for older students :) We loved lessons with Tomi (❤️), Adonai (❤️), Gabriel, Thiago and Miguel. All others are probably equally great, you can’t get wrong!
2. Organisation of classes and communication with the school meets all the requirements of todays “instant” contact. At ease and with no stress you can book, change, ask questions almost day and night. Alex, Miguel andTeam, you are doing a great job!
3. Praia do Guincho (Guincho Beach) where they operate is perfect for all levels. Don’t be scared by the waves and rough sea. They know how to take you through it and the more speed the faster you learn 🏄♀️🏄🏄♂️
What else to say? Go there, keep calm and love surfing (@Moana of course).

Great thing to do for families! We had a great time learning to surf. My son said it was the most fun he’s ever had at a beach. Highly recommend!

Der Surfkurs mit Ian war praktisch. Hat sich um alle Surfschüler gekümmert, gut erklärt, war sehr gut drauf und motivierend. Hat Spaß gemacht.
Die Orga von Kursbuchung bis zur Info/ Zeit wann der Kurs stattfindet ist Portugiesisch. Also nachfragen für alle die solitär buchen, außerhalb vom Surfcamp und mal schnuppern wollen. Kurse scheinen ausschl in Portugiesisch oder Englisch gehalten zu werden. Also auch wenn andere Sprachen angeboten werden, nicht zuviel erwarten. Eher auf gut Glück. Lage, Strand, Wellen und Schule sehr zu empfehlen. Der Parkplatz ist kostenpflichtig.

We got a surfing class here after our a booking with another person got cancelled and we got a warm welcome from the staff here. Our instructor (sorry we don’t remember his name but he was from Uruguay) was great and made sure we were feeling okay throughout the class. This was an experience we won’t forget!! Thank you!!

I'm happy that my first time taking a surfing class was at Moana! Such an amazing team and location. The instructors are very professional and you can tell they have a passion for what they do! They transmit their joy and passion and that motivated me even more :) They communicate very quickly and even take cool pics and videos of the sessions. All in all a great surf school and team. Thank you Moana for a great experience and I will be back for sure!!!
