We arrived in Porto with the intention of taking the train to Pinhão and touring the Duoro Valley on our own. After talking with our hotel management, we discerned our options and realized that a private guide was the best way to tour the area without encountering the hassle of crowds or arranging transportation. It was fantastic that Delfim was available. He was prompt to meet us and away we went! As soon as we began riding to the Duoro Valley, he was a wealth of information in regards to area and geography. Delfim understood what highlights the 4 of us wanted to see and experience on our day together. His driving and commentary were perfect in explaining the sites in regards to the wine-making history and culture. We enjoyed excellent wine tastings and a wonderful lunch as well as an hour-long boat tour. All during our time together we all sensed his genuine passion for his homeland as well as his interest in our time in Portugal. Noted highlights occurred several times when he would stop along the way at isolated panoramic spots and villages and tell us the story behind each stop. The entire day was such a delight. As we made our way back to our hotel in Porto, we realized that we had met a new friend along the journey!

This was our first trip to the Douro Valley and we couldn’t have had a more hospitable, knowledgeable, energetic and elegant guide than Delfim. His expertise brims with detail and passion for the history, geography, food and wine of the region, and he presents all with great eloquence and a tireless spirit. Keeping in mind the general parameters of our day trip, he maximized every opportunity and stops along the way, even getting us into an already fully booked winery for a private tour. Patient and always upbeat, this was the best person to explore this breathtaking region with it’s many offerings and corners of hidden beauty

Delfim was the best guide ever! My mother and I did the day trip in the Douro Valley and just had the best time! We had several wine tastings, an amazing lunch and a lovely river cruise. I can recommend Bus4All for all your travel needs!

Wow! What a fantastic full day tour with the best personal guide!! Delfim is a true professional with a genuine love for his country and pride in his work! His attention to detail, kindness, knowledge, and suggestions were appreciated throughout the day! We loved our beautiful ride out to the Douro Valley to the breathtaking vineyards! We had a great tour of the Pinhao train station, an excellent wine tour with a memorable lunch at the wineries restaurant outdoor terrace, river boat ride and taken to see some outstanding view points along the way! We highly recommend Delfim for any tours you are interested in. He is absolutely fantastic and a wonderful person! Thank you for a perfect day Delfim!

First and foremost I just want to thank Delfim for helping me plan a perfect day for my now fiancée! I communicated with him prior to the activity that I intended to propose and asked about suggestions for spots. He not only provided many options and details about our itinerary, but also planned many surprises for us throughout the day that made it even more special! He also snapped some pretty amazing shots of the unforgettable moment that we can cherish forever, and for that I am very grateful.
About the event: Private tour of the Douro river valley that includes tastings at two wineries, beautiful views, and a comfortable ride. Delfim picked us up right from our hotel so no worries about finding a meeting spot. The first winery was amazing, called Quinta dos Frades. Maria gave us the tour there and shared a lot of great information about the process of making their wines, quality information about the wines, and about the vines. Delfim had spoken with her prior to let her know I was planning on proposing at her winery and she planned some special surprises for us, which were amazing! Such a beautiful winery and a beautiful rich history. Everything was perfect!
The second winery was also great and gave us to chance to sample a variety of port wines! At the end of the day, there is a nice cruise down the river on a small boat that is lovely! The day is 0% stress and 100% relaxing and enjoyable!
All in all, I would suggest this tour to anyone who is planning on visiting Porto and the Douro Valley. Delfim is the best driver and tour guide you can find and wonderfully attentive! He truly helped make the day perfect and I could never thank him enough! Porto and the Douro will always have a piece of our hearts and is a truly beautiful place to visit! Thank you, Delfim!!

We had a wonderful experience with Delfim as our personal tour guide. His passion and pride for the region is very evident as is his knack for story-telling about the wonder that is Douro Valley. Highly recommended!

Amazing experience. Delfim was a fantastic host. Thoughtful, knowledgeable and considerate.
We posed a number of challenges, with the early New Year timing, and by not quite being able to fit into the standard tour schedule due to flight departure times, but Delfim managed this perfectly, getting us to the airport right on time after an amazing day in the Douro Valley with lunch at a first class restaurant.
I cannot rate this tour highly enough - so much so I just wrote my first ever Review after 10 years using Trip Advisor!

We spent 2 full days with Delfim and he made our time in Portugal outstanding. From the get go, Delfim was easy to communicate with and clear He was very professional and cares for his clients like they are long time loved friends.
Delfim is on time and drives a clean and very comfortable Mercedes. He makes certain that any special requests that you have are met, Our day tour to the Douro Valley was incredible from the private olive tree farm & lunch with the owner Antonio and his wife on their terrace overlooking the valley. We enjoyed a wine tasting and tour as well as a boat ride at sunset on the Douro River.
We also were thankful for Delfim for our drive from Porto to Evora. Delfim made sure to get tickets for us in Coimbra and for the castle in Tomar. He made reservations for lunch enroute and shared Portuguese stories during the drive.
As my husband said, "you can't say enough good things about that guy'.

We didn't know what to expect for the money we spent on a private tour but in hindsight we would do it again every time we visit. Delfim was a fantastic host from the time he picked us up to the time he dropped us off. He assured us from the start that the day was ours to enjoy. From the wineries to the boat ride to lunch and back to the hotel we felt treated like celebrities. You couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.
We highly recommend this private tour and be sure to request Delfim.

We are 4 adults interested in taking this tour on 6/22/19 and staying overnight in Pinhão and returning to Porto the following day on our own by train. We would have a small amount of luggage for the overnight stay. Please advise if this could be arranged. Thank you.
