Cape Sounion was great. Only one issue

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology. Cape Sounion is really incredible. One issue was they did not drop us back off at our hotel. It was supposed to be the Attalos hotel and they dropped us off at Omonoia Square. It’s like three blocks but it was raining so that kinda sucked. Otherwise good

Dishonest!

Keytours and its partner Headouts made me wait for more than 1 hour at the wrong address, making me miss the tour and a day of my vacation. The worst part is that although the address on the voucher, confirmation email and countless conversations with the customer service center asked me to wait at the wrong address, they only apologized, but did not reschedule the tour or refund the money.

Great full day Athens tour, highly recommended.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. We went with the tour in English and our guide was Demetrius. Demetrius was a very indepth and knowledgeable guide. He gave a full and indepth history of the landmarks and sites visted with lots of interesting facts and information. We came from NZ and opted for the full day, we got to see the original Olympic stadium, the Acropolis/Parthenon, Athina Nike Temple, The Acropolis Museum, and Poseidons temple (with a few other landmarks in between) the tour of the Museum was in depth and enjoyable. The drive to Cape Sounion was beautiful as well as Poseidons temple and the surrounding area. I definitely recommend the full day tour, lunch is included in the price and you can get some delicious Gyro's from one of the local restaurants. Very glad we went with this Tour.

great site, lousy guide

Are Greek tour guides paid by the words they speak? I would think so, because the ones I had just couldn't keep quiet. The one I had for this tour of the Acropolis was verbose and controlling. The Acropolis was great, and if you're in Greece, it's a must see. But when we went to the Acropolis museum, the guide had to control everything. We had no time to to explore the museum ourselves. She just took us from one exhibit to another and rambled on extended monologues. All the artifacts had an explanation. We didn't need her to give us a thesis on the topic. Midway through the tour, I stopped listening. I was supposed to have lunch, but I skipped out just to give my ears some rest.

Better Than Described

My family did this full day tour and we weren't disappointed. I can't remember our guides name but he was fabulous and extremely knowledgeable. The tour was on Thursday, October 3, 2019. We had him the entire day which was perfect. Especially since some complain of getting different guides in the afternoon. We did lose him briefly. After coming down from the Acropolis, he said we could stop to buy water. However, after we did that when we were done the group was gone. He didn't tell us they were leaving. We got a little nervous since we'd paid for the full day tour and lunch. Fortunately, we were able to find him since he did tell us before hand that if for any reason we get separated to meet him at The Acropolis Museum. So we did join the group there. Only one tip, he should have mentioned that we didn't have to wait in line since we already had prepaid tickets. We simply took a chance and showed it to a staff member outside, and she kindly let us go in bypassing the line as it should've been. Our guide was with us in the morning, he escorted us to the Arcadia Restaurant for lunch (Which was absolutely delicious). He told us what time to met at the tour office for our afternoon tour which was a quick and easy 15 minute walk from the restaurant using GPS. (there was about a 15 minute wait in the office to get everything and everyone together). Then we took a nice relaxing drive down to Cape Sounion which was breathtaking. All the sights going there, the Poseidon's Temple while there and coming back were wonderful. It was such a nice way to spend the afternoon even though we returned about 7pm (a little later than anticipated).

Our Tour guide for the Acropolis was very good and informative.
Detailed explanation of the history behind the Acropolis and other sites.
Lunch was good with vegetarian option.
Afternoon trip to Poseidon the guide was very good.
Overall very much satisfied with the trip.

We were left on our own by the guide to find our way around the city!

I was very disappointed by Key Tours. We were picked up at our hotel on time. We drove around and picked up others. We then stopped and everyone was dispersed to other buses. I have traveled extensively but have never had to get off a bus and get on another one. It was very chaotic and confusing.

We then proceeded on our tour to the Acropolis. Our guide was very knowledgeable but it felt like she was reading out of a text book. Once we arrived, and after a 30 minute bathroom break, she would provide a history lesson for 10 minutes, we would walk a little further and have another history lesson. Although the information was useful, it became very long as everyone was very anxious to see the Acropolis. It took us close to an hour after getting off the bus to get into the gates ... and it's only a 5 minute walk. Once we were inside, we had very little time to enjoy the sites and only had 15 minutes free time.

After the Acropolis, we walked over to the Acropolis Museum. Again, it was a long process as our guide had to stop for another 30 minutes for a bathroom break. We then had to follow her around the museum. Again, she was very knowledgeable but I would have enjoyed some free time to see what I wanted to see, rather than what she wanted to show us. I felt like we missed half the museum. There is an archaeological site under the museum that I would have liked to explore but we didn't have a chance.

We were scheduled for a full day tour, us and two other people. So after the museum, our guide told us to head to a restaurant down the street on our own and tell them we were with the tour. But we had to be back at the office by 2:45. We were totally on our own .... no help, no guide. We eventually found the restaurant and even they were surprised that we weren't with a guide. By the time we got our food, we had 20 minutes to find our way back to the office. We had to use google maps to find our way around the city. Once back at the office, we were shepherded to yet another bus for our afternoon trip.

I have never been on a tour where we were left on our own to find a restaurant and then find our way back to the head office.

After our afternoon tour, our second guide also left us on the bus to figure out our stop at the hotels.

I would definitely NOT recommend this tour company.

As regards our guides, kindly note that we always try to hire the most skilled guides and also great personalities that really interact with their audience since we fully respect and understand the vital role they play in your overall experience. Regarding your last comment, kindly note that that the distance from the restaurant to our office is very short and the access easy and our guide clear instructions on how to approach it. Not to mention that our call center is always available to help if any guest feels that he or she would need any further help. We enjoyed our tour of Athens' main attractions, but I can't look back on this tour and say it was the best we've been on or that I'd recommend this one to others. I can't quite explain why, except to say that we felt like there wasn't enough time to visit everything or to see the exhibits, entrance fees were not included, and, though Poseidon's temple was worth it, the drive out there is largely uneventful (perhaps they should add some time at a beach as a draw that would make it worth it...)

Reliable pick-up from Hotel. Polite staff. Clean coach/bus. Very knowledgeable guide Anastasia. Vivid descriptions and explanations. Good timing. Good mix of guided visit and enough, but not too much free time to check out things in detail and/or take photos.

A very well organised tour

We thoroughly enjoyed the One Day Tour of Acropolis & Cape Sounio. We are very impressed with our guide, Dimitris who is very knowledgeable and providing the information with interest and succinct. He also control the group professionally. Our bus driver Mr Nicholas is also a very good driver and friendly. The bus is clean and comfortable. We give Key Tour a 5 Stars for this tour. Keep up the good work Key Tour overall very happy and definitely will recommend to my friends who are visiting Athens.
