Fantastisk tur, helt unikt
Dette var virkelig en tur og anbefale. Vi storkoste oss, de kom og hentet oss på kaia. kjørte oss til olympia guidet oss igjennom musseum og ruinene. En guide med svært mye kunnskap. På veien tilbake var vi inn om et lokalt marked med vin smaking og oliven olje smaking. Fantastisk opplevelse.

A wonderful experience

This was an outstanding tour. Our driver Costas was very accommodating and knowledgeable. His communication with us during the tour stops was on target and his photography skills made our photo “ops” memorable!

Athens highlights and Acropolis

We recently did this shore excursion to Athens and the Acropolis. Our tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable.The Acropolis is extremely busy but fascinating and the drive around the city was great.

A long tour of the Acropolis

Despina met us right in front of our cruise ship right on time. She was very friendly and knowledgeable, telling us about Athens as we drove. She had confirmed with me in advance as well, very professional. We were taken straight to Acropolis and met our guide, Maria. Maria is a government sanctioned tour guide for the Acropolis. She is very knowledgeable and had nice visual aids to go along with what she was talking about. However, our group included 5 children ages 10-15. Maria launches into a monologue and pretty much doesn’t stop for 2+ hours. It really got to be a bit too much and too long, particularly in the sun. Also, it’s a lot of Greek mythology, which I’m far less interested in vs actual Greek/Roman history and modern Greek heritage. It was very hot (and crowded) and the kids were languishing. We all were. Maria is great, but not that great at “reading the room”. Or maybe she is compelled by the government to say everything (and then totally repeat it several times). We stopped for a lunch and some shopping in Plaka. I would have preferred less Acropolis and more Athens, to be honest. The bus is very nice and the driver was wonderful as well. It’s a good way to see Athens but it’s A LOT of the Acropolis. Not sure I recommend this tour for families with kids younger than ours, definitely recommend for adults interested in full history of Acropolis.

Excellent way to see the highlights of Athens when on a cruise
Great way to see the highlights of Athens during a cruise ship stop. Elena our guide was fabulous- knowledgeable and professional. The driver was outstanding as well in some crazy Athens traffic. Plenty of time to explore Plaka and have lunch. This is a small group tour so you probably will be with others and if they are late, so are you

It was nice

This was a stop on a cruise, so time was limited. It takes awhile to get around by car, it's very crowded. Our guide was very nice. Walked to the top to see the ruins. It's a long walk to the top, but worth it. We opted to just drive by the changing of the guard and not stop for the +15 minutes it takes. The last stop was the farmers market type area. We opted to sit and have a snack while our friends shopped. We had the local beer and wine, both were good and fried feta with honey which was outstanding!

Excellent Tour!

Great way to see the highlights of Athens, mainly Acropolis and Plaka. This was a shore excursion, and the guide was on time waiting for us and our group. We were transported in a private air conditioned van. Although the traffic in Athens was crazy, we reached our destination with ample time to see the main attractions. Our guide was very informative about the history of Athens as well. Overall, this was a great way to see the highlights of Athens in about 5 hours.

Tour of Piraeus, Athens, Acropolis and Plaka

We used Travel Insiders for this tour for eight persons and I cannot say enough about how professional they were. The Guides which we used in three ports were amazing and very passionate and informing about the sites and their amazing country. Despina the General Manager handled all of the bookings and was great to work with. We paid half of what the ship wanted and saw more.

Excellent tours in Athens, Santorini and Olympia
We booked tours with Travel Insiders for our 3 ports of call off our cruise ship. Despina met us at our first stop in Athens, and introduced us to our tour guide Maria. We had an excellent tour in Athens, going first to the Acropolis to beat the crowds and the heat. Elana met us in Santorini, and introduced us to our tour guide Eliza, who showed us around Oia and took us to a wonderful wine tasting, and the black sand beach. Both sisters met us in Katakolon, where Elana served as our tour guide thru Olympia. All tours were very well coordinated with excellent communication beforehand. I’d highly recommend any tours with this group!
