We are so glad that we chose a private tour over a group tour, it was my husband, myself, and our 21 year old daughter only. The historical sites were awe-inspiring, but we also really enjoyed exploring small villages along the route, Naupactus and Arachova especially. No one can prepare you for the beauty of the monasteries at Meteora, you just have to go and see it yourself. Our driver, George, was very knowledgeable and went out of his way to make sure we had an amazing trip. He arranged for us to have a table with the best view at each restaurant! The car was clean and comfortable. The tour guides at each historical site provided insights that truly enhanced our visit. They also helped us avoid the huge tour groups so that we could actually enjoy the museum and outdoor spaces. The tour included stops at spots we never would have thought of if trying to plan this trip on our own. George's "insider" perspective helped us get great pictures and views (and food). Effie and the other office staff were very helpful with the process of booking our tour and answering all of our questions. From start to finish everyone was professional and caring. I can't say enough about this team of people who help our vacation become a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We upgraded to a 4-star hotel which I would recommend. The Europa Hotel in Olympia and the Iridanos Guesthouse in Kalambaka/Meteora were our favorites. The Taverna Garden restaurant at the Europa Hotel was fabulous, have a sunset dinner if you can. The view is incredible.
Before starting this 4-day private tour we spent time in Athens to see the Acropolis. Go to the National Museum and New Acropolis Museum, hike the Acropolis, visit Plaka, and then take a tour to see the real Greece beyond Athens.

We are thrilled with our decision to opt for a private tour, accompanied only by my husband, our 21-year-old daughter, and ourselves. The journey through historical sites left us in awe, and the exploration of quaint villages like Naupactus and Arachova added an extra charm to our experience. The monasteries at Meteora surpassed all expectations, their beauty beyond words; you truly need to witness them firsthand.
Our driver, George, proved to be a gem, with his wealth of knowledge and dedication to ensuring an amazing trip. His arrangements for the best restaurant views were a delightful touch. The comfort and cleanliness of the car were noteworthy.
Each historical site's tour guides provided invaluable insights, enriching our visit and skillfully avoiding the masses to relish the museums and outdoor spaces truly. George's insider knowledge granted us fantastic photo opportunities and breathtaking views, not to mention fantastic local cuisine.
Effie and the office staff were outstanding, assisting us throughout the booking process and addressing all our queries.
Upgrading to a 4-star hotel proved worthwhile; the Europa Hotel in Olympia and Iridanos Guesthouse in Kalambaka/Meteora were personal favorites. At Europa Hotel's Taverna Garden, a sunset dinner with its incredible view was unforgettable.
Before embarking on our 4-day private tour, we delighted in Athens' Acropolis, exploring the National Museum and New Acropolis Museum, hiking the Acropolis, and discovering Plaka. But it was the tour beyond Athens that allowed us to truly experience the heart of Greece. This once-in-a-lifetime vacation was made possible by the exceptional team that catered to our every need.

great experience. We appreciate the flexibility that the agent adjusted our itinerary when they notice our travel dates were during Christmas holiday period The driver and all guides were very professional, knowledgeable and understood what we needed.

Our family of 5 adults took a 5 day/4 night private tour of the Peloponnese peninsula. Our driver, Theo, was wonderful. He was always on time and very attentive to our needs, especially to my husband, who walks with a cane and needed a wheelchair when he got tired. Theo helped us customize the trip - he recommended stops at a family vineyard and a few lovely restaurants that provided refreshing pauses in our trip. The accommodations were better than we expected - most were 4 star hotels. Our guides made ancient Greek history come alive. They were all marvelous story tellers. The historic sites and museums were superb. I don't think we had a favorite day - they were all great.

We took the opportunity to visit sites that we had not been to before despite many trips to Greece including for business, and the 4 Day Private Tour was thoroughly worthwhile. Although distances are quite long, the roads are very good and the scenery is interesting and quite spectacular in parts. Our driver George was excellent and provided enough information to supplement our research such that no guides were required at any of the sites. The hotels selected for us were adequate, but we should add that the company was thoroughly professional and we would certainly recommend this team to anyone planning a short trip to the main sites. One recommendation for the visitor would be to visit the Archaeological Museum in Athens first. For us the visit to Mycenae was greatly enhanced by having seen the artefacts discovered there and to read the history of these discoveries before we get there. Thanks to all involved.

I would highly recommend this 4 day Classical Tour with Private Tours Greece. From the beginning Dimitra worked with us to customize the trip for our family of 5. We loved everything, especially our driver Spyros. He was perfect for us and really engaged our adult children ages 19, 22 and 24. They loved him! He was very knowledgeable and a safe driver too! He went out of his way in all regards to make sure our trip was perfect. He brought us to scenic and delicious restaurants and extra little stops along the way, such as the Thermopylae Battle memorial. All the archeological sites were stunning and so interesting too. Dimitra arranged all the hotels. I highly recommend the Marbelous in Athens and the Olympian Asty hotel

Three of us (husband, wife and grown daughter) took a private 4 day tour of classical Greece. We could not be happier. Our private driver and all the guides were terrific, knowledgeable, cordial - they took care of our every need. The hotels we stayed in were great, the food suggested was terrific and everything went off without a hitch thanks to Dimitra who responded promptly in the early planning. In Greece the tour guides are all very professional and go to school to become certified. We had hundreds of questions, almost none went unanswered. What a trip! We did Athens on our own and then took off to the Corinth Canal, Mycenae, Epidaurus, Nafplio, Olympia, Delphi and the wondrous Meterora. We enjoyed learning about the Greek/Persian Battles and spent time at Thermopiles. Thank you so much - we were so impressed with everything about this tour and it wasn't that expensive considered all the private tours we got.

The overall organization of the tour is acceptable. The buses were on time and reliable. The tour guide had been very knowledgeable with the history of all the ancient sites.
My fiance and I paid for the first class hotels and we stayed at hotel europa in olympia, hotel amalia in delphi and grand meteora hotel in meteora. These are the kind of hotels that you'd expect.
Breakfast and lunches are quite decent at each hotel. Because we stay at different hotel everyday, there is some variation in the spread.
Don't expect too much out of lunch, you'd be brought to one of the "tourist" restaurants in the area. The lunch expenses is not covered by the tour and prices can get a little higher than Athens. Key is to have a full breakfast and dinner while having a light lunch.
The views at each of the sites are spectacular and the bus rides are very scenic.

Hmmmm, Interesting, Awsome….. Where should I start :)
We were looking for a Customized Private Tour of Mainland Greece. Found this travel agency through google search.Went through Private Tours Greece Website and we found exactly what we were looking for.
Sent our request through webchat on the page. Dimitra promptly responded to our request. We went back and forth with what we wanted from the tour, she was very patient with all our requests and gave us what we exactly wanted. Thank you Dimitra for excellent tour organization. She was awesome :)
Picked up from the Airport on time by our Chauffeur Nico ( Hope I got the name right)
We did a city tour next day covering most of Athens and of course the Acropolis booked through Private Tours Greece. It was Private tour and they did arranged a Fantastic Guide Elieen :). Thanks Elieen we had a great time with you.
Day 3 we started our 4 day Classical Tour of Greece, Covering Argolis / Olympia / Delphi and Meteora. The Tour was exactly what was given in the Itinerary. Well planned. Great hotels, and awesome places that we explored. If you are visiting Greece these places keep as must do places in your bucket list. Our English Speaking Driver cum Guide. (Just to remind you that Driver is not a qualified Guide, how ever he will let us know all the details of the place we are visiting and then we take our own time exploring the attractions. It will be extra to hire a qualified Guide). We called him Costa. ( I believe he has a different name hopefully Dimitra can correct me on that :) ) He was excellent, very courteous, obliged all our requests, took us to great places that generally that is not crowded with people, showed us Great restaurants to eat. Well dressed, clean and comfy cars. Very punctual on point. Thank You Costa we had a great time with you. :)
Easy booking process, Never had a issue with Credit Card payments. Their website payment portal is very secure and they were very prompt in sending receipts too. Attention to detail, everything is given in writing, what's been paid and what's not.
Thank You Dimitra and the team. We had a great memorable time in Greece. I have no hesitation of recommending Private Tours Of Greece Travel Agency to anyone. There were more reputed travel agencies that we asked for tour quotes, however Dimitra was the only one that gave us what we exactly wanted. Yes price was exactly right. Fully satisfied for the price we paid.
Hopefully will see again one day :)

We want to do the private tour with 4 adults. What is the extra cost for a tour guide? Is this another person in the minivan or a tour guide / driver?
Also, the last day we need to be at the port by 2 to start our cruise. Will this work?
