This was our first day in Greece. In addition to helping us make great memories, Peter, our tour guide, helped our two week cruise to get off to an outstanding start.
From providing us with an endless supply of bottled water, a box of delicious bakery cookies, stopping at his favorite coffee shop to buy me a cold cappuccino and constantly taking pictures during the day and sending them to us after dropping us off at our hotel, Peter anticipated our every wish in order to help us have an incredible experience.
Peter is pleasant, knowledgeable, professional and clear and concise in presenting the historical information of the area. His driving is excellent and being a local helped him to truly be an expert in the sites we visited. He consistently provided us with suggestions on how to visit each site, and then he allowed US to determine how to visit the sites and how long to stay at each. His sense of humor helped to keep the conversations flowing easily.
Ancient Greece Tours and Transfers was a delight to work with! Their commination was excellent, their prices were reasonable and they made good on every promise. They truly cared about us, and they are honest and reliable! This company and tour guy has our highest recommendation!

My sister and I booked a tour through Ancient Greek Tours ( with GEORGE, who is so accommodating and pleasant to deal with) . My sister is a mythologist so I asked GEORGE to provide a tour guide with a deep knowledge of ancient Greek history and mythology. We were assigned to Yannis who was just incredible! I could not give him a better review. From the moment he picked us up in Glyfada, (with fresh Greek pastries and ice cold water)and throughout our tour, he could not have been more informative in deep historical Greek roots. He was courteous and generous with his time and accommodations to us. He gave us plenty of time to explore on our own couple this with extensive knowledge of each stop prior.
He arranged for a delicious lunch at a traditional Greek taverna in Nafplio-which had a good amount of vegetarian options. It was truly a wonderful memorable day of the best tours we’ve ever had!!!
I highly recommend Ancient Greek tours and if you can get him, Yanni!!!!
PS many times I tour alone- And I would feel completely comfortable, taking tours through Ancient Greek tours and traveling with Yanni.

Amazing, fun, knowledgeable, Customer Oriented, entertaining, Generous, and incredible ancient sites
Despite having our tour on the hottest day of the heat wave, our tour guide, Tas, was amazing! Not only was he extremely informative, punctual, helpful, courteous, funny, entertaining, customer oriented, and generous with his time, he was also extremely knowledgeable of the history and even current events for the region, which was fun to listen to while engaging with our son who is a history major. He kept us hydrated with tons of water bottles. engaged, and equipped us with relevant as well as surprising tidbits at each site that we weren’t able to gain on our own by reading online or in books. We finished our day in Nafplio at a delicious restaurant and then the best ice cream shop before driving us home. If you want to really learn about the history of these spots, while having a fun time along with engaging conversations throughout the day, you must take a tour with Tas!

This without a doubt was the best tour I’ve ever had, and I have traveled for years throughout the world. I recommend ancient Greece tours more highly. Then any other tour group I have worked with.
Yannis was our tour guide . he is the most compassionate and passionate man about his work and his country and to let you know the important things about what you are visiting
My friend was ill and he made it possible for her to stretch out in the van and enjoy most of the day. He made us so comfortable. We started the day out by stopping and picked up coffee and pastries for us to eat and drink along the way, it was the best treat ever to start the morning .
We went to the canal and looked over and watched bungee jumpers. Then we continued to Mycenae acropolis. Each place we went he gave us the briefing on what we were going to be seeing and what we were going to be doing.
He knows this country so well and he loves what he does. You cannot go wrong with this company and requesting YANNIS as your tour guide.
We really enjoyed seeing nafplio and having lunch there and walking along the marina. Just go with all of his suggestions, and you will have a very successful enjoyable day and so memorable!
Our pick up point was confusing and he called me and said he would come to exactly where we were and made it so easy. What a perfect day.

It was a great day tour out of Athens, especially for a Monday where the town of Nafplio is especially quiet and nice to stroll around and the view from Palamidi is breathtaking！
Our driver and guide, George, is an excellent guide! He comprehensively answers all our questions, from history, culture, economics, geography, food, to even politics! And his excellent English makes it easy for up to interact. George is also very nice and patient with our kids.
All in all, a great value for money experience!

We had a great full day. Our guide Manos was very knowledgeable. The van was very comfortable. We really enjoyed all of the sights, the ruins at Mycenae and museum were very interesting, Epidaurus was really cool and we loved the town of Nafplio. Manos brought us to a great restaurant there and ice cream and a amazing little church. I highly recommend!

Communication before the trip was very good. I had a couple of questions regarding pick up location and times and we got an answer very fast.
On the day of the tour we were picked up from our hotel and we were on our way promptly. Our guide, Tas, welcomed us with traditional (delicious) sweets (I had mentioned we were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary) and took us out of Athens. The ride was smooth in the city traffic and on the highway. The car is luxurious, comfortable and clean.
We made some changes to the scheduled trip so that we would see the sights before stopping for a relaxing late lunch in the beautiful city of Nafplio. This flexibility to be able to change plans on the spot was very welcome.
Before each visited site Tas would talk about the history behind the ruins and monuments in a very engaging and informative way. He also seemed prepared for everything, providing umbrelas when it menaced rain, and bottles of cold water when we returned from a long walk. In the charming city of Napflio we had a wonderful traditional meal in one of the places Tas recommended. Small details that make for a great experience.
We were never hurried, we choose our own pace. During the trip we either engaged on some nice conversation or just relaxed to the sound of music. Tas is a wonderful host.
In restrospect the only thing we missed is time. I wish we had more days to book a longer trip.

Tas treated us like family. Not only did he explain everything, shared his experiences, treated us with coffee and ice cream,but also took detours so we get a full experience. We had the most magical lunch overlooking unique scenery. The day was absolutely perfect! Thanks Tas!
