This was an incredible experience in Crete, and we strongly recommend it! Our hosts were so accommodating and organised. The food we prepared was incredible, and we learned so much about Cretan food and culture. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Crete!

An amazing way to spend an afternoon in Crete and without a doubt the highlight of our trip. Marianna and her mother were so genuine and kind and truly provided an unforgettable experience. They were both so knowledgeable and we learnt to make a variety of traditional Cretan dishes with the local produce. It was a smaller class which was great and the whole experience from start to finish felt so warm, inviting and authentic. It was also situated in such a beautiful area, we cooked and then sat down to eat at sunset watching the sun go down over the olive farm that the space looks out to. I would recommend this class to anyone coming to Crete, such a valuable experience in a beautiful place with great company.

We had the best time. Mama Stella and Marriana were warm and welcoming. We even got to cook with Yaya. The recipes were easy to follow and so much fun to cook. The farm was in a beautiful setting . Everything was perfect, I highly recommend this experience. Would do it again in a second

I gave my boyfriend the cooking class for his birthday and it was such a great and beautiful experience to cook together with Marianna and her mom! The two are so warm that you feel right at home and can also enjoy a beautiful ambience.
Marianna explains each cooking step in detail and also tells stories about the dish. We found it particularly nice that each of us could cook any dish. It tasted very good, of course!
In addition, we took olive oil and the best oregano directly from the farm for our family. A perfect souvenir.
The farm is easy to find and is signposted.
We would definitely recommend the cooking class to get an insight into the Cretan cults.

Very friendly atmosphere, great location, top organized and lots of information about Greek cuisine! We prepared 4 courses, everything was very delicious, super prepared and a really nice experience.

It was the best cooking experience my boyfriend and I ever had!
Marianna and Mama Stella were so lovely to the whole group. She told us interesting facts about any dish and how to do it and also took us in their garden to show us fresh vegetable, that we‘ve harvested.
Marianna and Mama Stella know how to prepare cooking classes and also were able to adapt on allergies or diets.
If you‘re in Crete you should definately book one class if you want traditional and authentic greek food!
We‘ll come again.

We are two adults and two teenage daughters. We love taking cooking classes in the places we travel to, and Cretan Vibes was among the very best of our many experiences. The hosts were warm, funny, and excellent at teaching cooking. The surroundings are picturesque as heck - cooking outdoors in the middle of a working farm, on the island of Crete! They knew where every ingredient came from and we were astonished by the flavors that we could achieve with only fresh ingredients plus a little salt. To cap it off their dogs just had a litter of pups…and who doesn’t like playing with pups? We only wished that we could have gotten the recipes afterwards. Thank you so much ladies for this lovely experience.

My husband and I had a absolutely wonderful experience at Marianna's cooking class. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed by Marianna, her mother, and her grandmother. The warmth and hospitality they showed us made the evening truly special.
The cooking instructions were clear and engaging, and we learned so much that we can't wait to try out at home. Marianna and her family shared not only their recipes but also their love and passion for cooking, which made the class even more enjoyable.

If you’re on the fence… trust me, DO THIS EXPERIENCE! I felt like I went to my favorite family members’ home and enjoyed the best things we all enjoy in life as humans—great company and great food. The atmosphere, facilities, the teachers, the food—alllllll LOVE. I have the best memory of learning about native foods, cooking, laughing, trying new things and being impressed by the simpleness and yet, extravagance of it all. I mean—olive oil from these groves?! Honey from the bees who roam through all the lush vegetation on this farm?! All living plants thrive there not just from the soil, but I believe, from the hearts and gratitude, the hard work, and the love that this family provides. By far, one of the best cooking experiences I’ve ever done. You explained everything so well, that it just all made sense. Thank you!😘

The class is located on a farm just off Rte. 97 outside the town of Mires, Crete. There's no formal address, but Cretan Vibes sent us directions.

Hi, in the date selection there is only options for vegetarian or vegan menu. Are these the only possibilities ? (looking at March 26)

Hi Tyler. I am Marianna. Among with my mum we offer this cooking experience. I apologize for my late answer. Viator (Trip Advisor experiences) had never send me a notification that you have leave me a question... Really apologize...
We offer different traditional menus, for all the tastes (meat or vegetarian or even vegan menu). We try to fix our menu according to the dietary requirements or food allergies of our guests. Cretan diet has a lot of different recipes for all the needs!
So, if you still are interesting for our experience feel free to ask me anything more you may want. I will check this section more frequent ;))
