Golden Circle Tour Review

My husband and I had the best time on our golden circle tour with Andres! He shared so much knowledge with us and was very accommodating during the duration of the trip! We caught all the sights and even had time to stop and see some
Icelandic horses. Definitely a great way to check out the golden circle sights!

Great Icelandic experience

Fantastic day out. Andres is unbelievably knowledgeable about Iceland. We were treated to great facts and tips about all the sites and landscape and even elves! He is flexible, accommodating, passionate about his job and a great conversationalist. Will definitely book him again for a northern lights tour next time.

Carolina. Thank you to be my guest. You all are really outstanding travelers. With that kind of people isn´t difficult to make the tour. It is pleasure and enjoyable to. There is one more thing. Andres really went out of his way to make our day great! Even with all of our last minute changes and accommodation needs he just jumped into action and made it all happen.

Chris and others, I will really remember your and our tour on a very special way. You were been last one travelers traveling this tour before COVID lockdown. After that time country was empty, no single soul on touristic places so I was traveling for my own with my dog Lab Hercules instead of touristic purposes. Thank you for this review. You were been all very outstanding guests so I wish we will see each other again. Andres

Waterfalls, elves and rainbows...oh my. Tour Iceland with Andres!

Our two days in Iceland were magical. So glad we picked a private tour with Andres. We did a 2 day tour that included the Golden Circle, Blue Lagoon, and the South Coast. He told us the story behind each site, stopped when we saw horses and sheep since he knew I was wild over both, let us start later on day 2 so we could sleep in a little later, and let us spend as much time as we wanted at each site. At the Black Beach he suggested we get coffee first and let the rain and clouds pass and he was right! as we caught a beautiful sunset. At each stop we saw folks herded on and off a coach bus and I am so glad we did not choose that route. I am also
glad we chose not to drive as it allowed us to relax and enjoy the view. I highly recommend Andres. Thank you Mercury Grail for a wonderful trip.

Dear H. Thank you for review. I am happy you enjoyed tours few days ago. We spend more than short tour together, so on that way we also know each other better. I am really impressed how kind and easy going you are, so tour simply can´t end with that kind of women. Yes we changed time of departure on second travelling day. I would do it for any single traveller if I know weather or else wouldn't bother us. In your case late departure was better on many ways and it is just great to have that deep memories for small thing I have done. Thank you again for review. Andres

Outstanding

Andres two day tour was fantastic. we were on a cruise ship that docked for 2 days so we had lots of time to see all the sites.Andres took us the oposite way the cruise ship tours went so we visited sites with out crowds also with his car we could travel on roads that the large buses could not go.The places we visited and the scenery made us think we were on another planet - just great. He was a super guide with lots of stories and
historical knowledge. We would recommend this tour to all who would enjoy a private guided friendly tour.

Excellent, flexible, friendly guide to Iceland

Our day with Andres in Iceland was wonderful. I traveled with my mother, and 2 year old child, and Andres was very flexible and accommodating to our varied needs. He is very friendly, and knows a lot of interesting information about the places you visit. We saw so much in one day, and had an incredible time. Would definitely use Andres at Mercury Grail again if we come back to Iceland.

A Great Trip to Iceland

My girlfriend and I recently booked a few trips with Mercury Grail for during our Trip to Iceland in February 2109. Andres was extremely helpful in the lead up to our trip and his knowledge and experience was invaluable in ensuring that we had everything planned and arranged before our arrival.

Upon arrival Andres was kind enough to offer to pick us from the airport as we had a Northern Lights trip booked as soon as we arrived. Upon arrival in Reykjavik Andres were there to meet us despite the fact that our trip to the Northern Lights had been re-arranged due to weather forecasts. Andres was very helpful and offered alternative dates in order to re-plan this trip, and dropped us off at our hotel which saved us the cost of a taxi or bus.

We managed to get out on the Northern Light Trip a couple of nights later and it was well worth the wait. Andres was very efficient in tracking down a good location and was constantly adjusting to the changing forecasts that night to ensure we were not disappointed. We arrived in a very secluded and private location and manged to get very good photographs taken with Andres' professional camera which he promptly emailed to us afterwards.An experience we definitely won't forget.

We also booked the Golden Circle tour with Mercury Grail and once again we were not disappointed. Andres was very informative and explained the significance of each of the locations on the tour. We were encouraged to go at our own pace and spend as much time as we liked in each location which is the real benefit that Mercury Grail offers with their private tours - we were not tied down to pick up times and set duration as you would with a larger bus tour.

The Blue Lagoon tour was also one of our favorites and Andres again collected us from our hotel and transported us to the Blue Lagoon. We spent a couple of hours here, and again we were not rushed in away and were encouraged to take as much time as we liked. Andres and Hercules (Andres' dog) were there again to collect us and return us back to central Reykjavik.

In summary, I would highly recommend Mercury Grail and the tours we booked during our stay in Reykjavik. Not only is Andres very a knowledgeable and experienced tour guide, but his tours are delivered in a laid back and relaxing way that makes them ever more enjoyable and more preferable to the busier bus tours that have more stricter and formal schedules.

We will definitely be making plans to return to Iceland in the future and fully intend on contacting Andres again to book more of his great tours.

Exceptional Tour with Exceptional Guide

Andres tailor-made an exceptional visit for us to his beloved Iceland as we remained with him from morning until late at night as he made sure we not only saw all the highlights of the area but also were privileged to hear his knowledgable information about the area. Swimming in the Secret Lagoon was a highlight. Andres' excellent camera captured for us Northern Lights that our untrained eyes did not see. He graciously emailed to us photos from our phenomenal day. We began the day with our guide; we concluded the day with a friend.

Kathy. We communicated long time before your arrival. On that way you weren´t stranger for me, not booking number, simply travelers who came to Iceland to see all possible things in time you had. We all were lucky your cruise ship has good schedule, so we didn´t need to be on rush. I will remember you as easy going and relaxed travelers. Thank you to be with you.
