We picked Adventure Point because we like to be in a small group or alone, he is a local with passion and love for his company and offers a fitting package with loads of activities and plenty of time to be in awe and be amazed.
We felt from start to end at ease and comfortable with Gunnar who guided us.
We picked his "Glacier Adventure Trip" because we love to walk and be active.
Gunnar haves better gear i.m.o. (especially the crampons -thingies under your shoes to walk on ice) than I saw at other tourists and explained walking techniques and helped us without having to ask.
He also helped others from other groups, multiple times, which I think shows a kind and good heart.
The excursion it self was life changing! He surprised us with many adventurous activities and I wouldn't want to miss this by booking only the ice cave tour.
He gave us plenty of time to relax, take pictures or just have a little chat with him.
Thank you Gunnar.

Definitively you have to do your tour with adventure point. Gunnar was a great guide, he explains to you everything and he is very patient letting you appreciate every part of the tour as long as you want. The places he takes you to are awesome, from a Glacier hike to the ice caves it was perfect. I truly recommend this tour. If I go again to Iceland I'll do this one again.

Breathtaking.. No words really can discribe this expierence!
I did a LOT research before booking an icecave tour iam glad i did! Our great and relaxed guide Gunnar brought us safely from the starting point at Jökulsárlón through moonlike lavafields close to the edge of Breiðamerkurjökull glaciertongue with his trusty superjeep. Where the real adventure begun. Everyone got safety gear like crampons helmets and harnesses before we startet to walking closer to the glacier. Crossing a river in this vast stonefield. At the edge from the Glacier we put on our crampons and made our way to the first icecave (we saw 2 and a half). The Views from the glacier and walking on that old Ice was alone really great.
On the way Gunnar answered all our questions knowledgeable and let us al the time we needed to take fotos an enjoying the nature. (he is so kind he also helped on the way back a guest from another much more crowded tour with his crampons ;-)) and i say this because we were only 6 People on this tour i saw some other tours with much more people and was glad i chosed adventurepoint. I dont know how but Gunnar managed also that we could see all the places in the caves without other groups being also there big plus! i cant describe the caves i think that one of i guess million of pictures i shot has to do the job for me. After the caves we came to the backside of the lagoon with its own "diamond beach" and a beutifull view on the edge of the glacier. we had lots of time to relax there, eat something and enjoying the views and Chatting with Gunnar before heading back. But not without a little extra on our way back, we came across a just mansized crack in the ice maybe 50 meters long Gunnar asked if we wanted to try to get through... OfCourse! Gunnar even took our backpacks and brought them to the other side of the crack so we could try to slip thrugh it. That was the perfekt ending of this tour before we walked back to his superjeep which is (driving through a lavafield he called it a road ;-P) a bit like a rough massage after al that expolring. Thank you for that expierence!

We had a car breakdown. Without hesitation, Gunnar came a long way to pick us up. We continued with such a great tour without ruining our day trip plan. A small but beautiful group of people which the guide can well take care of.

Adventure Point was a fantastic experience, that we will remember for life!
Gunnar is a great guide, he has a lot of fun and we really liked him. We are very happy, that we chose Adventure Point because the tour was just terrific.... in Gunnar‘s cool Superjeep we drove to the edge of the glacier tongue, then we got helmets, harness and spikes and off we went. Luckily it was not very steep, so these 3-4 km were not a problem. Then we came into two ice caves, that were so fantastic that you could not stop taking pictures and in the second one we could go a pretty more adventurous through a tunnel and then we saw wonderful ice-waterfalls! After this Gunnar took us to his favorite place:
beautiful blue blocks of ice rose above the Lagoon. After a little resting time Gunnar asked of we wanted to enter a third cave and that was really unbelievable!
All the time we could take lots of pictures of all of this wonderland!
Many thanks to Gunnar for this unforgettable day!

After driving through a small blizzard we met our guide at the meeting point in Jokulsarlon lagoon car park. Our guide was local, friendly and had a sound knowledge of the area. We drove approx 30 minutes in a super jeep to the starting point and got kitted up for the hike (harness, crampons & ice axe). We began the one hour hike over the Glacier and entered 2 caves. The caves were just what we imagined, absolutely beautiful! After the caves, our guide took us to the beach where we got a closer look of the glacier next to the lagoon - This was the highlight of our tour & something we will never forget. Definitely worth the money!!

We had a great time on the trip. The guide was waiting for us on time and took us safely to the glacier with his mighty jeep. All sort of equipment was provided and it was in a good state. The guide was friendly and fun to walk with. The only con was that we had asked in advance for some less crowded alternative route, but everywhere we went was super busy.

The tour was spectacular. We got close to the glacier with Jeep, we walked on a lake and we did glacier hiking to reach two stunning blue ice caves. In one of them you could explore an go into a deep cave that lead you to another part of an icecave with a frozen waterfall. I've never seen anything like that before. We were alone, only accompanied by two other travellers, since the maximum length of the group was 6 people. Gunnar was very friendly, he answered all our questions about the glacier, the ice caves, technical aspects of security, etc. At the end we arrived to a wonderful landscape called "The secret beach", which you can only visit if you hike through the glacier. I will never forget that day. Gunnar left us all the time we needed to take photos, live the moment, observe and explore, we were like 6 hours!

Hi,
You guys will have tours in September 18 or 19?
Thanks!
Skrevet 10. september 2019
Can we do this tour in September? We are coming to Iceland in 2020 with a group of 4-5 and this is REALLY interesting! Also how much time is spent in the ice caves? And what kind of physical shape do you have to be in?
Thank you!
