I bought a hotel transfer with pick up point at bus stop Number 9 in Reykjavik Centre.
Pick up time was between 8.30 and 9 am.
There were hundreds of crowds and buses everywhere. I and another 8 or 9 people were obviously looking for our shuttle in that awful confusion, but it never arrived, or at least we never saw it. We called Airport Direct at 8.55, asking for information and they said we had to wait because the shuttle was delayed. Well, we waited in vain until 9.20, then I was forced to get a cab to the airport, fearing I would miss my flight.
On the very same day I obviously sent an email claiming a refund, and after three weeks they answered I have no right to be refunded because the shuttle was there at 8.45. That is not what they told us when we called them that morning!!!
STAY AWAY!!!

Terrible experience. When booking online, asks you what departure time you would like so we did that, got to bus stop 15 mins early before selected time. We waited just under an hour at the bus stop, had tried to call airport direct via the number given to us and was on hold for over 17 minutes. Once someone answered, they were really unhelpful and told us that we should be at the bus stop 30 mins before departure times as stated in small print, even though on the ticket our time said 08:00 departure, which was the time that we had chosen online plus the ticket does not mention anything about being at the bus stop 30 mins before . We had to get a taxi to the airport which cost us £150 and when I had asked for a refund for our tickets, the company said I couldn’t do the small print even though on the phone the colleague said they agreed the booking system etc was confusing!! I have attached the picture of our ticket with the departure time we had chosen. The company should be a lot clearer when advertising. Terrible customer service!!! We used fly bus on the way into Reykjavik and they were brilliant.

Timeframe/window for pick up is 30 mins, why not just have a scheduled pick up time - we arrived within 30 mins and van never showed - operator said they waited 9 mins - no way. Waited over a hour in freezing cold. Van that eventually arrived was crummy - trip requires a transfer, which was not understood at booking. Best s that picked us up at airport on arrival had a wet cargo bay - take the Flybus - Airport Direct is the worst.

It was chaotic today because the roads were closed until noon, and then a lot of people wanted to get to the airport. But Airport Direct's response was to fill up the entire bus at BSI without checking tickets (my friend got on at BSI and told me this), and then skip the people at Hamraborg without sending notification or another bus. Multiple people, including me, were waiting at Hamraborg until the bus was 25 minutes late - we left a bit of time because we figured there might be some difficulties today. But then I called and was automatically put on hold for about an extra 20 minutes, before talking to an actual person. That person had no idea that there were even people waiting at Hamraborg, even though you have to tell them which stop to pick you up at when you book. They did put us on the next bus (which came late) and we eventually got to the airport, but we had already waited at Hamraborg for more than 1.5 hours.
But, the only reason I actually made my flight is because it was delayed by 2 hours. Pretty disappointed. The only reason I don't give 1/5 is because they immediately changed us to the next bus.

Very rude my first vist to Iceland and he didn’t make anyone feel welcome on the bus I felt like getting off I won’t travel again with this company 7pm bus from the airport on the 3 December

We used Airport Direct to get to the airport from Reykjavík one way. I booked it the day we arrived. They have a conveniently located desk in the Arrivals Hall in Keflavik. The agent there took care of everything for me, printed out a voucher and gave me specific instructions on finding the right bus stop. In our case, we were picked up from Stop #6 which was just a 5 min walk from our hotel.
Everything worked out exactly as planned. The bus was comfortable, and clean. It’s about a 40-45 min drive from Reykjavík to Keflavik. The price was very reasonable for Iceland, certainly so much less expensive than a taxi. I’d definitely use them again on my next trip to Iceland.

We booked via mobile phone one way tickets to Keflavik airport 21st August 2022 and received tickets which stated pick up time from hotel half an hour before our bus was due to leave from the bus terminal to Keflavik. The bus never came to the hotel, so we were forced to make our own way to the airport. The company's 24/7 telephone line never responded. We also immediately contacted Fly Direct to claim our money back and received an email that they would contact us in 3 days. They responded in three weeks, only to say that in a separate voucher they state that the shuffle service from hotel can arrive half an hour later than stated on the ticket. This is surprisingly poor service, as we would then automatically miss the bus from the terminal to the airport. We never received the service and never received our money back. We recommend using another company for connections between Keflavik and Reykjavik and not Fly Direct.

We regret that you could not reach our customers service which might have been engaged in other case at the time. We do operate a 24/7 customer service.
Pick up for transfer are operated 30 min prior to transfer time and for a 30 min window. This means the driver can arrive any time between half past the hour and 59 min past the hour. The transfer bus from the Terminal is in direct connection with the pick up bus and will not leave until the pick up bus returns to the terminal.

It was a scary ride to the airport this morning 9/10/2022. We had the 6:00 am shuttle to the airport. The driver was falling asleep!!! His head was bobbing and we could see his eyes closing in his mirror, and the bus was all over the lane. To the point where my husband and I started making loud noises to wake him up. I "dropped" my metal water bottle a few times and turned on my music on my phone as loud as it could go to keep our driver awake!!! He was on the phone before we left and the only English (as we were positive understanding him) thing he said at the end of his phone conversation was "see you tomorrow" so more than likely (hopefully!) It was the end of his shift. Scary ride, I'm sure the other passengers thought we were just "terrible Americans" making all the noise and music, but I'm pretty sure that we saved us all from getting in a bus accident by doing so! Take a taxi or don't fly so early in the morning maybe. This guy was dangerous, he needs another shift.

We would like to assure you that our drivers are specially trained and well aware of their shifts lengths and after speaking with the driver he assured us that passengers safety was at no moment in danger.

Only 1 star l’m afraid. Taxi was unable to get us to the bus terminal on time because of heavy traffic and we missed the bus.
Ended up having to take the taxi direct to the airport.
Not the fault of this bus company, but they refused to issue a refund, because of the “no cancellation after 24 hours” policy. This was out of our control and unintentional.
You provided no service, it is only fair to return the money.

Unfortunately we cannot take liability for any service (such as a taxi fare) that is outside of our control. The seat was reserved for you and unfortunately such situation does not fit for a refund.

Really disappointing. Not only did we have a condescending and rude bus driver on our was into Reykjavík but on the return journey to the airport we left 15 minutes late from the bus station. Just a really poor show and felt very untrustworthy.
