We paid $700 per head x 4 adults for what we were led to believe would be an exceptional new years eve event. WRONG... !
We waited at the wharf for close to an hour in the heat before we could board - it was utter chaos. Thousands upon thousands of other revelers waiting for their boats at the same time with organizers taking no control. The pushing and shoving was atrocious .. ! On boarding we found there were only 6 tables for over 700 guests so we had to scrounge 4 chairs next to each other by asking others if they would mind moving. Sitting there in discomfort, on a hard chair with nowhere to put my handbag etc i felt like i was waiting on a bus. Once we took off the buffet opened. The line of 700+ people was so long it took me an hour to reach my food. We then had to sit and eat on our laps trying to balance over the waves.
Yes - there was music however it was that loud you couldn't hear yourself think let alone speak with friends. the thumping music was non stop. Everyone complained however nothing was done. No one seemed to care.
As midnight approached i assumed they would hand out streamers, blowers, hats........anything to set the mood...however again a let down. We were given nothing to get us in the party mood.
Event was clearly marketed as our boat being in the "special inclusion zone - directly in front of the bridge" - well - we were 10 boats back and could only see the very top of the bridge fireworks. My only view was of the back of boats... again - everyone complained and felt disappointment.
SORRY BELLA VISTA BUT U RIPPED US OFF ...totally. You took top dollar and gave the absolute minimum you could supply. Hope Karma comes around and bites u in the bum. We saved for this event. Flew in from interstate, had accommodation costs only to find ourselves unlucky enough to have chosen your boat ... SHAME ON YOU. !!!

Wow, we watched the Manly 9pm fireworks before queing for the ferry to see the midnight ones. Wow what a display
