We just finished the Big 3 and wow it was really amazing how much you see in those short 3 days. We had 3 tour guides for the trip one for each day but they were all unique and equally great tour guides (Ian, Nick and Damian) they all provided a lot of information on many locations and also answered any questions asked with insightful knowledge of the area. Awesome tour I'll be recommending it to my family. ❤️ Laura and Jordan

Do not book by any means with this company, as they are not only not ashamed to treat you as second grade customer, but also not ashamed to say it openly and put it into writing! Never seen such rude and condescending communication.
When I asked for a certain hotel pick up (that was advertised by both the agency and themselves) they did not want to pick me up there and gave me alternatives that require walking 20 to 30 minutes with 20kg luggage. Even though their eticket also stated a hotel pick up, and I chose the hotels from a list they say they stop at in all their advertisement (also the selling agency told me I could). Furthermore, while by car or bus it is only a few minutes (and at 6am off seasons the traffic isn’t the issue), it was a 20/30 minute walk (and I am staying at a pretty central location, near CBD). Even a one time request to pick me up one day you need to travel with luggage (20kg) they did not want help out, despite all the advertisement.
They (literally) said that their "First priority always goes to guests who book directly with us", this is a literal quote. So, despite paying full price and doing the tour they think it is normal to treat client as second grade clients. The travel agency was also very shocked when they saw the email.
They also tried to blame me for it. Stated that I was late my booking (6 days prior the tour start). Sure, that is not very early, but if you can’t keep your advertised promises, just don’t sell that tour. If six days is not enough for you to make the promised arrangements, you should be honest about it it and not sell it.
Furthermore, their communication was condescending. Warning me basically to not take any luggage with me on other days, in capitals written. Although I asked to bring luggage on another day, they could have politely declined it, and there was no need for this condescending tone of voice. The condescending tone of voice was clearly noticeable in all communication. All was by email, because I tried calling them multiple times, but was redirected to the voicemail every time, including during their business hours.
I have, in a polite way, pointed out that I was surprised my their communication and that it was not in line with their advertisement, as these levels of unprofessional behavior are unprecedented. However, instead of a apology or any kind of deescalation of their bad behavior, they pretended to give me “the official” answer, that they don’t pick up clients that booked you big international sites, despite me booking it through a smaller Australian business.
They also said that I should take it of leave it, when they know that 2 days prior on an island it is hard to find alternatives. Obviously, I did not want to go on any tour where I will be treated as a second grade customer (while paying the full price and booking the exact same tours as some other guests)!
They offered me a refund, which is good. So, apparently, their management approves of this behavior instead of apologizing for the rude communications, but I guess they’re not mature to admit the mistakes they made!
So, yes, I got my money back, but they ruined your travel plans last minute and are beyond rude, without any form of self reflection! Don’t ever book with this company! Watch out for them, they also don’t put any listing on google maps, probably to avoid honest customer reviews!

Hi EuropeanTraveler1234,
We are sorry to see how upset you are, however, we feel a little clarification might help with the points you have raised.
1. When booking via our website you will see our full hotel pick up list that is available to guests during the booking process on our website. If you look over these details and then go to a third-party website to book, you will not necessarily have access to all of the hotel options via the third-party booking platform.
2. If your third-party website allocates an automatic pick up/drop off location at our General Meet Point, we will always consider any hotel pick up requests and we will assist with these, where possible.
3. We do not pick up and drop off to all hotels or accommodation locations, this is simply not possible for many reasons. If we are contacted during your travel planning stage, we can provide details to you that help with your travel planning, we are always clear and transparent with our information to ensure we best assist you to have a smooth trip. We cannot always fix things that present as difficult for you after the fact.
4. On tour days where we travel from Hobart to Launceston or vice versa, luggage is expected on these days, and we travel with a luggage trailer. On all other days, where we start and finish to the same location, our website, brochure and FAQ’s, all state the same details “Please only bring hand-luggage on your tour day, otherwise, we won’t all fit!” Again, we can only encourage you to get in touch with us directly, we are always happy to assist with local knowledge, and tips and tricks that help with your planning.
5. You were so overtly displeased and angry in your emails to us, that of course our team waived the Terms & Conditions to provide a refund to you, so you were free to make travel plans that better suited you. We do hope you were assisted by your agency to find a great outcome for your travels.

This tour was awesome. Trevor the tour guide is an absolute legend. He is witty, knowledgeable, passionate and intelligent. His love for Tasmania is so evident in the way he talks about it. He has an incredible understanding of the natural environment, imparting his wisdom about flora and fauna. He is also well versed in environmental advancements taking place in Tasmania. He incorporated the history into the tour, acknowledging the atrocities like the killing of the aboriginal people when settlers arrived. He incorporated the traditional names of Hobart/Nipaluna and Mt Wellington/kunanyi. Trevor made this tour so special and I hope you have the pleasure of touring with him too.
My only feedback is - don't expect a 3 day tour with a group who you would get to know. Only a few of us did all 3 days, others were doing individual days of the tour - so maybe not so good if you're solo traveling and looking to make connections.

Day 1 - The weather on the day of the tour was not ideal, lightly raining nearly the entire day, but I still had a lot of fun. The day started early picking everyone up from their hotels before making a quick stop shortly outside on Hobart for anyone wanting to grab a quick coffee/snack and use the restroom before getting on with the day. We made our way to the Waterfall Bay Cliff Top Walk and seeing the Tasman National Park highlights including the Devil's Kitchen and Tasman Arch. The walk itself was pretty easy. From there, we made our way to the Unzoo where we got to feed kangaroos and see a Tasmanian Devil being fed. We then went to the Port Arthur Historic Site which had two small cafes to purchase lunch from and much to see. You are free to roam about and explore as you want. The tour also included a short cruise through the bay. I personally enjoyed a glass of wine and snacks while listening to the commentary from the guide. After leaving Port Arthur, we made a stop at the Federation Chocolate Factory where we tried unique flavors of chocolates. Last stop on the trip was Richmond where we were able to walk around and explore the various shops on our own.
Day 2 - The weather on the day of the tour was again not ideal, still lightly raining nearly the entire day. However, similar to the prior day, this did not detract from the overall experience much. The day started early picking everyone up from their hotels before making a quick stop shortly outside of Hobart for anyone needing to purchase lunch to take with them for the day. We made one additional stop along a beach before getting to the Freycinet National Park. From there, we had three options of walks, a short walk to a cafe/lunch spot, a walk to Wineglass Bay Lookout (a 45-minute uphill walk), or the option to extend your walk to the actual sands of Wineglass Bay (approximately 2.5 hours). Normally, I would have chosen the longer walk, but given the weather was rainy, and the guide advised there were a couple of sections of the walk to be careful on, our group of four opted for the walk to the lookout. Two of the members of the group stopped halfway to the lookout before turning to head towards the van as it was an uphill climb and a bit too much for them. After taking in the views overlooking Wineglass Bay, we headed to Honeymoon Bay and did the Cape Tourville Lighthouse Walk. The description says you stop at the Freycinet Marine Farm for oysters, but we did not, so maybe that is a seasonal thing. We did make a stop for coffee/snacks/ice cream, though before heading to Launceston.
Day 3 - Again, the day started early picking everyone up from their hotels and heading to the first stop, a place offering coffee and all sort of breakfast/lunch options for eat-in or takeaway. After purchasing our breakfast/lunch for the day, we headed towards Cradle Mountain. The first walk was a short but peaceful walk inside the national park. We then hopped back into the van to drive deeper into the national park and closer to Cradle Mountain. We parked by Dove Lake where the guide explained the various options for trails before we all parted ways. A girl I had met on the bus and myself opted for the hike up to Marion's Lookout together. It was a difficult upward climb, especially since we were moving at a fairly quick pace. It took us approximately an hour to reach the top, but once we got up there the views were spectacular. Because we had made such good time, we were able to relax and have lunch without being rushed. Once finished, we headed down towards Dove Lake. The climb down was steeper than expected, but they have a chain rope most of the way you can hold onto. I was grateful for this when my foot slipped a couple of times on the loose stone. We were good on time so we were also able to do the walk around Dove Lake (counter-clockwise from the parking lot). There were a couple of spots with an uphill climb, but this was much easier than the hike up to Marion's lookout. Once we all met back at the van, we drove to another area of the park for a brief chance to roam around and try to spot wombats. Last stop on the tour was to the Ashgrove Cheese Factory to sample cheeses and purchase goodies or ice cream.
Overall, the days were long and tiring. By the end of my trip, I was exhausted. However, I would do it all again. I was able to see and do so much, and the guides were friendly, knowledgeable and experienced, making every day more enjoyable and run smoothly.

This tour did everything we wanted, and more. It was very well organised and excellent value for money. We loved every minute of it. The early departures and long days enabled you to see and do so much. Historic Port Arthur was probably the highlight of the first day, although the visit to 'Unzoo" - where most animals simply roam in the natural environment - was a very special place. The scenic walk clifftop walk and various viewpoint stops were simply stunning. And Richmond and the Hobart City Lookout rounded the day off in style. Freycinet National Park and the views of Wineglass Bay from the lookout were stunning - well worth the climb up and down. Lunch at Honeymoon Bay provided an opportunity to relax in a calm and scenic environment. The final day, Cradle Mountain, was probably one of the highlights of our entire trip round Australia. All aspects of the day were simply wonderful, from the short walks to the hike around Dove Lake, where we were able to see several examples of wildlife. The guides were excellent. Day one - Dan. knowledgeable, enthusiastic and humorous. Day three - Rod. Again, knowledgeable and quietly enthusiastic about all aspects of Cradle Mountain, the environment and its wildlife. The air conditioned buses were comfortable and the baggage trailer they towed on day 2 meant there was no restrictions on luggage, ideal for us as we were on a six week trip around Australia. This trip ticks all the boxes, especially if you are limited for time. Highly recommended.

This tour is very good value for money. There are several stops each day and all the entrance fees are included in the full cost of the tour. Pick-up and drop-off are very prompt, and the tour guides are friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. We were three seniors travelling on this tour and the each of the tour guides were flexible in allowing us to do as much or as little active participation as we wanted or could. Even if we did not take all the walks, we still took some beautiful photographs.
Wear sensible walking shoes, hats, water, sunscreen and light jacket as it can get cold in some areas you will visit.

The 3 day tour managed to cover most of the tourist area that you would want to visit while in Tasmania. Being on a tour, the timing would sure be really tight and you would have to quickly complete what you want to do before moving on to the next place. The tour guides were all very knowledgeable, and the guide that brought us on the cradle mountain tour explained to us in detail about the history of the plants and the place which you would not be able to know of if you did not follow him.
One thing to note, we were brought to the "Federation Chocolate" on the second day of the tour if I'm not wrong, and the samples were really nice so we bought over 10 packs of chocolates. However upon flying home and trying the chocolates, it tasted so different from the samples that we had tried, in a bad way, that we've decided to throw them all away as it was really inedible. Not sure if the samples are different from the products that were sold, I really hope not. But maybe you would like to buy one pack there to taste it first before buying more. Do note that the time you have there to buy is very tight too, so you would have to buy it quick to taste it.
The other pit stops had good ice creams, so that was nice!
If you are travelling with a person who would need the toilet frequently, do note that the vehicle is a small van/bus which does not have a restroom, and the journeys can be quite long (1-2 hours), thus it can be stressful for that person.

Thanks so much to Connor, Andrew and Rod (our tour guides) for going out of their way to help me get back the stuff I had left behind in the tour bus mistakenly on two consecutive days (first day, chocolates and second day, my camera), and for not throwing us out of the tour for being so negligent. Overall, an excellent tour of a beautiful place.

That is the best part... you can pick any hotel you like in Launceston and Hobart. They pick you up from your hotel if it is in the city centre and most hotels are in the city centre.
