The experience, the service and care of the staff was second to none. Our pilot, Antony was amazing, both his commentary and his flying skills. Milford sound and the glaciers surrounding I feel can only be appreciated by air .I can guarantee you will not be disapointed.

What an experience!!!! We are 4 adults with a lil one (3yrs old) and we were planning on driving to Milford Sound when we came across Air Milford and found out we could take a flight there. This was an incredible flight only taking 40mins. The Pilots were very knowledgeable and pointed out all the points of interest along the way. Flying over snow capped mountains is breathtaking! They even flew us nice and close to one of them, and then through the Sound and landed with ease! We then jumped onto the cruise where waterfalls were flowing, we even had seals and a pod of dolphins!
If your planning on seeing Milford Sound then this is definitely the way to go!

Amazing trip and I highly recommend! From start to finish, the entire day was very professional and well organized. Our pilot, Alex, was top-notch and did an excellent job on the flight over and back to Milford Sound. He described the mountains and other landmarks as we flew and also made sure our group got to the boat on time and back to the airport. The flight was as impressive as the boat cruise and the entire experience was the best part of my trip to New Zealand.

From start to finish we had the most amazing exprience. The warmest of welcomes from Anthony and his team . His knowledge and expertise made us feel comfortable at all times. A truely professional family business leaving no detail untouched, Thank you, myself and Micheal have been travelling to New Zealand for over 20 years. we will once again leave feeling blessed to have connected with some pretty awesome guys.

Spectacular experience! Very organized, takes safety seriously, friendly, and made the entire flight so fun and exhilarating. Highly recommend! I was considering between flying and taking the bus and would 1000000% recommend flying with Air Milford!

Unfortunately weather meant that we were limited in time at Milford Sound and didn't get to do the cruise. The communication from the company was fantastic on this however, and I was offered the option of delaying in the hope of doing the cruise another day, or going with the original date. Tom was our pilot and gave some great commentary during the flight before pointing out where the best photo opportunities on the ground were. I'm so glad I did this trip - definitely worth every cent. Thanks Tom & team for an incredibly enjoyable and professional flight.

IT WAS INCREDIBLE!! My friend and I were lucky enough to travel for several weeks through Australia and New Zealand. We saw so many amazing sights, but THIS WAS BY FAR MY MOST FAVORITE DAY OF THE ENTIRE TRIP! Antony was our pilot, and I was lucky enough to sit up front with him on our flight back from the sound. He was funny and very informative. He also made us feel safe and was so chill. I was not nervous at all. You felt as if you could just reach out and touch the mountains! The sights were beyond awesome, and we had a terrific experience the entire time. If I am ever lucky enough to get back to Queenstown, I will come back again for sure!

This was my second time going to Milford Sound - the first time the weather was not great, so I took the coach. The flight option was SO much better. Of course this time, the weather was perfect - so beautiful, and truly a fantastic experience!

We are very interested to book this trip with you on 12/28. We will be staying in Queenstown from 12/26-12/29, and I checked on Tripadvisor that 12/28 is the only spot available for 2 people. This date is fine with us.
Before we book the ticket though, could you please tell us how long the airplane rides are (to and back) and how long the cruise ride would be, please?

Our flight was booked in for the 10th oct , it was cancelled due to bad weather , they offered a full refund or to fly the next fine day which was oct 12 my birthday , we had the best weather , blue sky and nice warm sunshine

I am planning to fly in from Auckland in the morning. Do I need to check-in to my hotel and wait to be picked up, or can I just join the tour starting at the Queenstown Airport? Is it the same as the commercial flights airport?

It's in the same area as the normal airport, maybe 10 minutes walk from the terminal? I suppose it depends how much luggage you've got. The only thing to consider is that they ask you to call a few hours before, to check the scenic flight is operating (weather issues sometimes). So I guess you could do that from Auckland.

It was $666 for two of us, USD, for the flight and cruise in Milford Sound, Air Milford was fabulous and I highly recommend them. I think our pilot was Mike. This was the highlight of the whole trip to Australia and NZ and worth the splurge, but it was a little bit terrifying going over the jagged mountains and felt very close (but was totally safe).

No, two and one seat configuration, but great views even from the middle seat. Larger aircraft makes for a more comfortable flight IMHO.
