We have use Victor Bodden Tours twice and it is has been amazing. Olee was our guide both times and he really works hard to make sure that we have the best experience. He was always close by, patiently waiting for us. Some of our favorites were the rum shop, Carambola Gardens, and West End Village. Olee made sure that I got to snorkel and found a nice place for my husband to relax in the shade with a drink. It was perfect. Cant wait to go back in a few months

This tour was perfect for our family of 6. We had a driver to take us wherever we wanted to go. Denry, our driver answered all our questions and made great recommendations for shopping, lunch, and beach. The zipline exceeded our expectations with 11 ziplines! It was a favorite along with the monkey and sloth encounter. We would definitely go with Victor Bodden again!

I booked the private tour for 14 people. We were met outside the cruise port and had a van with air conditioning all day. There was a driver and a very friendly guide. He told a lot about life on the island. First stop was the monkey and sloth rescue. Talk to the caregivers, they know a lot to tell. The gift shop is reasonably priced compared to other gift shops. Then chocolate factory (no factory, more like a shop). En rum factory. Also not a factory but very tasty rum cake and different types of rum. Then to the beach. Guide arranged a day pass for a fee. Price was fine. Beautiful beach. Also booked through guide snorkeling. Absolutely worth it. If you really want to go to the beach alone then I would do a beach club near the rocks at the end of the beach. You can then swim to the reef. We got back to our ship just in time. Communication in advance was super clear. Absolutely recommended.

Formidable attention of Victor Bodden in the facilities leaving the Cruise, he offered us vehicle tour throughout the island, through the area with the sloth bears of Bodden Tours and transfer to the Beach. Benjamin was our assigned driver from whom we received excellent attention from him. Thanks for everything and greetings from Monterrey, Mexico.

Excellent! Tour guide was ready for us when we got off the ship. Van was clean and spacious. Took us to the Roatán sign for a photo op and had us to the sloths before the crowds (highly recommend!). Tour guide was flexible and kind. He had us where we needed to be at the right time, helped us get all the food we needed, and suggested all the right places!

This turned out to be our family’s favorite port day! We were a group of 10, adults and children. Our tour guide for the day, Denry, was amazing! We started the tour with a drive to the monkey and sloth sanctuary. Denry spent the drive sharing lots of information about Honduras and Roatan. At the sanctuary, we loved the silly monkeys jumping from person to person. Holding the sloths was a highlight. Everyone got time to hold a sloth. Afterwards, our guide suggested several beach options, depending on what we wanted to spend. We spent the afternoon, about three hours, at a West Bay beach. Playing in the ocean, eating and drinking. Denry was more than happy to take photos of our group and with our group! At the end of our tour, we asked to go to the Roatan sign to get a few more photos before he took us back to port. Overall, great experience! Our tour guide’s knowledge and friendliness made it even better.
Highly recommended! The reservation was made over email. They responded very quickly when I emailed to reserve this tour months before our vacation. A reminder email confirming the trip came about two weeks before our vacation and gave us all the information we needed to find our tour kiosk at port and what to expect the day of.

This tour was wonderful! We did a private tour with just 6 of us and were able to do exactly what we wanted. Our driver, Big Al, was friendly and helpful--he gave us a lot of history and went out of his way to show us some cool sites.
We were most interested in the Monkey and Sloth experience and it was so great! We have two fairly timid kids and the guides were so gentle and patient with them. It took some time but both of my timid kids held sloths! That would not have happened if we had been rushed. Our animal guide, Arthur, was so patient and calm! We loved it! And going int he enclosure with the monkey was so fun! The best part!

Ask for Tex! He does an incredible job of showing off his island, including the monkey/sloth at the Mayan Jungle Canopy, a ride through Anthony’s Key Resort, and drinks and lunch in West Bay. We came on the Wonder of the Seas and it was nice to have a local like Tex, who has been to our home state of South Carolina, show us around! Book now!

We booked the private tour and selected the island sightseeing, sloth sanctuary, chocolate tasting, and beach stop.
Victor was very prompt via emails answering questions beforehand. It was easy to find them at the port. Michael was our guide and was great. We were in a comfortable van with A/C.
The sloths and monkeys were so cool. We got there early and had a nice tour. The sloth hug was a definite highlight.
Michael recommended Henry Morgan resort for our beach stop. I was having a hard time deciding which place to stop for the beach break while researching, so we went with his recommendation. It was a great call. The beach was very clean and the water was beautiful. We were able to book a snorkel trip by boat out to the reef through the hotel and that was wonderful. We saw a ton of fish and even a barracuda. We only got drinks here and decided to just wait and eat lunch back on the ship, so I can't speak to the food. There were vendors who occasionally came up, but a simple "no, thanks" worked and they'd move along.
We let Michael know we likely stay at the beach for a couple hours and he was waiting and ready for us. We got back to the shop in plenty of time after stopping by the large ROATAN sign for a scenic pic.
We had our parents and two kids (9 and 7) and we all had a great time. We would highly recommend Victor Bodden for any tour in Roatan!

For $58 to go wherever I want on the island was insanely good! Me and my daughter were there as one of our stops on a cruise and Bodden tours was professional! I wasn’t aware of the departure time difference listed on my cruise vs the time on the island so I’m glad my tour guide asked and educated me on that to be sure I didn’t miss my departure back onto the ship. Norma was our guide and she wasn’t bossy, she gave respectful opinions on utilizing our time as I had it planned out for me and my daughter to zipline, do ATV’s, visit the animal sanctuary where they had sloths, monkeys, macaws, etc and I knew we wanted to parasail which I wasn’t finding as an option to do on my other stops thru the cruise or even thru trip advisor. It was a busy day but it was a fun day. She was respectful of our time, our space, and even telling us about the island while she drove us around. Norma was very professional and made it easy to talk to her throughout our whole experience. She also wasn’t trying to overcharge or let us get overcharged, I mention this because I’ve been to other stops where sometimes when you’re a tourist, people try to charge you more. I want to go back again and I would highly recommend bodden tours! Absolutely loved our time in Roatan☺️

Do you pick up at the port and is it a long walk from the ship?
Our ship doesnt dock until noon. Does that mean that ther will be no sloth encounter?

Do all the sloth parks limit the "hug a sloth" experience at a certain time of day? one website states that only selfies are allowed after 11am, has anyone "hugged" a sloth in the afternoon in any sloth parks that they can recommend?

By 11 am they mostly go to sleep for naps so they cannot guarantee anything . If you want hugs go early !

Yes, but you won’t have a lot of time at each location. There are very few roads so traffic is unpredictable.

Yes, I think it would. We did some parts of the tour with people we didn’t know & it was fine. Everyone is friendly & taking it all in together.

I would like to know the itinerary for the Best of Roatan Tour. We will be leaving on the NCL Getaway out of New Orleans next week for the ten day cruise. I would like to know how long the tour is and the price per person. We are traveling with some other people and there could be several couples who would be interested.
