Highly highly recommend! It was an amazing experience! Our guides Kris and Buddha made sure we not only saw mantas, but that they came up close and personal and stayed around our area. There are lots of tour groups out but we had about 5 mantas all at once hanging out around us. Also it’s a smaller group (only had 10 people on our tour) so the mantas stick around longer.

The tour was awesome and the tour guides were awesome. The jokes is what made it funny for me. Trevor, Diego, Scott, Joe. Thank you for the great time. I appreciate you guys for keeping everyone safe and for the hot chocolate. Still awesome we got to see manta rays and a dolphin playing with the monk seal I would definitely come back and do the tour again. Also thank you to Oleathia for helping me plan out the correct tour with everything going on.

The Night Snorkeling was one of the most special experiences we ever made. The guides were very nice and knew what they’re were doing. We had about seven Manta Rays swimming around us coming directly to us and sometimes even touching us because they were so close. It was super amazing and we would absolutely recommend it as well as do it again.

This was the top thing I wanted to do in Hawaii. We planned vacationing in Kauai, but I want to go to the big island just for this experience . We did it night one and so glad we did! My entire family loved it, even the ones that were a little nervous to get into the ocean at night. This is some thing I will do every time I come back ..it was truly magical to watch them dance. Our tour guides were amazing. We felt completely safe. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was a scary snorkeling experience and I think it was due to lack of adequate staffing. Our boat appeared full with about 20 people and then at least 10 more people joined as part of the group last minute. I'm not sure if 2 tour groups got consolidated, but it was too many to do an organized snorkel. The crew was great, but not much instruction was given about what was going to happen and no one to really ask. The group that came in at the end did not appear to understand the instructions and were screaming as they jumped off the boat and appeared to be crying/continuing to scream as they were in the water. It totally scared my 6 year old son. The crew kept asking the people to stop screaming and to slowly glide out of the boat, but it was of no use. By the time my son and I got into the water, our snorkels were falling off our faces, but hard to adjust with the waves on us. In addition, there was no crew member to help us for several minutes. In that time, my son's pool noodle started to float away as did mine. It's dark and hard to see mixed with the waves and the screaming. I think the crew did their best, but they were grossly outnumbered. I would not recommend this if you are not a confident swimmer. I chose this group because I thought it would be the safest (life jackets provided for adults and children). Ultimately, we did see manta rays, a beautiful sunset, and got hot cocoa with a gorgeous view of stars on our way back. However, I'm still not sure it was worth it with all the panic my family felt while it occurred. Again, the crew was awesome, but they were outnumbered.

Ok this was maybe the highlight of our Big Island trip. My teen daughter talked about this experience for days. We saw at least 10 manta rays and they were within inches of us. These creatures are stunning and it was an experience of a life time.
I am a weak swimmer but this crew made sure I got the whole experience. Trevor, Scott, Diego and Joe made sure I got to and from the boat safely. It is key that you don’t panic and just listen. These guys got you covered but make sure you let them know if you anticipate needing some help and don’t be shy about taking the optional life jacket, it one of the ones you inflate as need and not one of the bulky ones that never fits right.
I blew it up for the swim out and let the air out to watch the manta rays since you hang onto a float to watch. I blew it back up to swim back to the boat.

Our Manta snorkeling night was unbelievable. Kris and Buddha were wonderful guides and so personable with our group of just 16, making jokes and providing recommendations. The bay we went to was about a 30 minute boat ride. If you get motion sick make sure to take medication to prevent getting sick on the boat. The manta area was very crowded, but Kris and Buddha were patient and stayed outside the congestion. After about 5 minutes we were signaled to enter the water and were amazed to see 4-6 mantas doing continuous belly rolls feasting on the plankton right in front of us. They came so close, it was beautiful and exciting. Later they shared that other tours didn't see any mantas. I would recommend this as a must do with Kris and Buddha while on the Big Island. Even the boat ride back under the stars was great. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Very nice and helpful crew. All equipment and wet suits were provided work the package booked through Trip Advisor. Short 20 minute run to snorkeling site.

We did the 6:30 trip. Chris and Buddha have great personalities for our group - friendly, engaging, mixed in with some humor and sarcasm and some educational tips. Got to see an amazing sunset and some dolphins on the way to the rays. Wetsuits (theirs) optional, no shoes on the boat, can use their snorkel gear or yours. We had a great time!

I have a daughter in law that will be 5 months pregnant when we will be in Hilo. I am very interested in this tour but I am wondering about the wetsuits. Obviously you will not have a wetsuit for expectant mothers. How cold is the water?
We want to do this dive as a party of nine or ten but will have a baby with us. Can baby come aboard? Of course an adult will take care of baby the entire trip....
