Jambo Jambo! We, as a family of three, were recommended by our close friends to use the services of Blue Lotus (Shakeel). This safari trip in August for 10nights to Kenya and Tanzania was incredible!
From booking the dates in advance to catch migration, to day by day itinerary with smallest detail was perfectly planned and executed to meet our requirements. Shakeel and the team were flexible from the start ensuring we have one of our best holidays and experiences. From taking care of dietary requirements, to ensuring the tour guides were well experienced, this trip has given us lasting memories that will be treasured for life.
Thank you Shakeel for your patience and guidance; we felt we were dealing with a family member who ensured we cover the richness and cultural significance of these nature blessed countries whilst keeping safety in mind.
I strongly recommend Blue Lotus for anyone planning a visit to Kenya and Tanzania. Asante Sana!

I was very please with the amazing detailed planning from Blue Lotus to ensure we had an amazing experience in Tanzania. This was my first time visiting Africa, and every single facility we visited was incredible. Every single activity we did was, without a doubt, perfect. And what to say about the private tours and their guides? They were all respectful, professional and knowledgeable. What about our Safari driver? His name was Godwin, and his humble and helpful personality made our Safari experience one to remember for a lifetime 💕

What an awesome experience travelling with Blue Lotus! They worked with me and my friend to customize one of their safari tour packages to accommodate some additional things we wanted to do. The trip was nothing short of amazing. We were met at the airport by Nasoro, the driver who took us to our hotel and was our guide for our day tour of Dar es Salaam. He, like all the drivers during our tour, was punctual, professional and thoughtful, taking care of our every need. When we left Dar for Arusha, he got us to the airport with plenty of time to make our flight.
We were met in Arusha by Nasra and our driver Godwin. They had a lovely gift of a water bottle, which came in handy during the tour, and a kikoy which is a traditional Tanzanian wrap worn on the coast. Both were inscribed with our names. What a lovely way to be welcomed to Tanzania.
I can't say enough about our driver/safari guide Godwin! He ensured we saw the Tanzanian big 5, giving us every advantage for great photos! He is such a lovely person and made sure we were comfortable and cared for during our trip. It was very sad when we had to say goodbye to our new friend. I felt very safe in his car with his driving skills. A safe and skilled driver while on safari is everything! Godwin also made sure the car was impeccable each day he arrived to collect us.
The accommodations during our trip were amazing. We stayed at the Peninsula Hotel in Dar which was in a great location. It is located right behind the Tinga Tinga art cooperative which I was grateful for as I wanted to visit the place and we only had 1 day in Dar. Being so close, made this visit possible. While on safari we stayed at the Mawe Mawe which had spectacular views, The Sametu Camp (my favorite) located on the Serengeti, the Kudu Lodge located near the Ngorongoro made us feel very special with welcome signs at our dinner table, the Maru Maru on Zanzibar which was centrally located in Stone Town, and the BlueBay resort which was a beautiful way to end our adventure relaxing by the spectacular beach. The accommodations and food were awesome at all venues.
We spent our final few days on Zanzibar after safari which I highly recommend. Our guide Mussa gave us an amazing tour of stone town and also accompanied us to Prison Island for the day. He was so very knowledgeable. He also took us on a spice farm tour which was interesting. I really enjoyed the tours with him.
We returned to Zanzibar by ferry, per my request, and found Nasoro waiting for us at the gate. He got us to my friend's home where we stayed for a few days. Our final driver, Pascal, picked us up promptly at 10:30 a.m. and transferred us to the airport for our flight home. He escorted us to the departure counter and did not leave until we headed to the gate! That's amazing service in my book.
I cannot say enough about how gracious and attentive everyone was. I want to especially thank Nasra, of Blue Lotus, for attending to the details of our trip and for Shakeel who worked with me to put together the perfect adventure. He was very patient with me as I had originally planned to travel with Blue Lotus 3 years ago but had to postpone. When I contacted Shakeel, he still had the original itinerary we had discussed years prior. I was grateful he was willing to work with me especially after the first false start.
Other people who stood out and made our visit special at the accommodations include Jacob at the Peninsula, Ramadan at the Sametu, and Miriam and Lizy at the BlueBay Resort.
I highly recommend Blue company for your safari journey.

In late May of 2023, my family (8 of us) Spent 12 days with Tom Dames and Tony Binks of Derek Dames Safaris viewing three of Tanzania’s most iconic National Parks: Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Knowledgeable, fun guides with exceptional wildlife viewing, food and beautiful accommodations in tent camps in these areas. Each day we traveled in well equipped Land Rovers viewing all the animals, including the “big five,” in up close, private settings. Saw two cheetah kills, multiple lions and two leopard with kills, hundreds of elephants, zebra, ostrich, hyenas, giraffes, Cape buffalo, Impala, gazelle, wildebeest and 12 black rhinos in Ngorongoro Crater. Could not have enjoyed this time anymore in a safe and easy setting. Traveled by professionally run, commercial bush planes to each location. If you are looking for a quality, private safari experience these are the people to use. Take a good camera! Darrin D. Memphis, TN

Blue Lotus was an excellent choice as their team was authentic and were very responsible safari operators in Tanzania.
Shakeel the tour operator & his team of experienced guides (Clarence) ensured personalized attention and a deep understanding of the region’s flora, fauna, and cultural heritage.
At the end of Safari there was great sense of satisfaction & tinge of sadness as you say goodbye to this land of wonders.. Arusha, Tarangire, Manyara, Serengeti & Ngorongoro are still etched in memory.

We visited Tanzania on a 10 day Safari on a big Family trip. We were traveling with 2 kids aged 5 and 6 and 4 seniors. ( my parents and in laws). The whole experience was incredible and Blue Lotus did a fabulous job in planning out every little detail. The itinerary was perfect, every accommodation provided was excellent and our guide Clarence was fantastic! What I especially appreciated was the small attention to detail like concern for what food my kids would eat and planning each day with them in mind. Blue lotus provided us personalized water bottles on the first day which was so thoughtful. It was my moms 65th birthday and they planned out a cake and little birthday picnic celebration the day of! They also customized the itinerary to us in a very thoughtful manner. We saw an amazing number of animals up close which was the most amazing experience. I really have to Thank Blue Lotus for this unforgettable once in a lifetime kind of experience!

We were given exceptional service from Blue Lotus and we highly recommend them. Don’t bother looking anywhere else. From drafting the perfect itinerary which matched our needs, for the right price, to the excellent service delivered by their very experienced driver guide. Everything was perfectly arranged and booked, with very short notice, thanks to Abbas, their reservation manager. Our driver guide, Clarence, took care of us every step of the way and knows his job very well. He was always very kind, knowledgeable and flexible to our needs. The vehicle used was in good condition and always maintained clean by Clarence. Blue Lotus is definitely the right choice

We travelled to Tanzania in January and were looking to maximize our time on Safari so contacted Blue Lotus after significant research. Our flights were booked but we had erroneously thought we would like a hike up Kilimanjaro and then a short safari which we realized was going to be a packing nightmare. We contacted Blue Lotus with a very short lead time and after consulting over a whats app phone call, they had a good understanding of what we were looking for and put together our dream trip. To that end, they added the Serengeti, a horesback riding trip and some hiking opportunities to our original itinerary. Their extensive knowledge of the various parks, camps, wildlife viewing opportunities as well as other activities was evident in the itinerary that they created for us. What we were most impressed with was their desire to ensure that our bookings were made in eco friendly camps where staff are valued. Our driver, Clarence, was a lovely, knowledgeable, enjoyable travel companion who indulged us in our various special requests, the most important being where possible to head out early in the day so that we could siesta in the hottest part of the day, then heading out again as things cooled down and animals became more active again. It was a dream come true. We saw Arusha National Park, Tarangire park, the Ngorongoro and Empakai craters, the Serengeti and Lake Manyara. Yes, we saw the big five but we also saw SO much more! We really enjoyed every place we stayed, and slept in complete comfort every night. We would not hesitate to use them again and 100% recommend their services.

We did a 1 week Western Tanzania trip with Blue Lotus which was mainly centered around game drives in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro parks. Our trip was expertly planned by Shakeel bhai and his team and it ended up being a memorable experience for our entire group.
Our guides Clarence and Vincent ensured the best sightings on each day, be it the wildebeest migration, the big 5 or any other big game or birds. They would get into the best positions to see the wildlife and then patiently wait while we finished taking photographs. Their warmth and care ensured that we were carefree and comfortable at all times.
Lastly, as vegetarians travelling outside India, we were slightly apprehensive about whether we would be able to enjoy the food. Have to specially mention that the teams as at each location went out of their way to serve not only excellent vegetarian food, but Indian dishes to us as well.
Highly recommend Blue Lotus Travel and Tours to anyone visiting Tanzania.
