We suspect this company is engaged in systematically defrauding clients. We had finalized a custom tour package with specific hotels carefully chosen to meet our needs. However, just one day before the tour, we were informed that the hotels had been changed. The new accommodations offered were significantly cheaper—about one-third of the cost of the original bookings—and were located much farther away. In one case, the new hotel added over three hours of travel each way, on gravel roads. Despite multiple follow-ups, Philip, the owner, repeatedly promised a refund but failed to take any action.

12 days Namibia highlights, 2 persons, guided tour, camping.
We had a terrible experience with this agency. The tour was a torture.
- Most lunches were skipped, or were just a salad. The food quality was poor. They would offer food to which I was allergic, despite that was correctly indicated before departure.
- Only 2 showers in 12 days, because there was no water in the camping sites and the toilets had disastrous hygienic conditions.
- The tour was badly calculated and organized: all day drive to only see some attractions only 30 minutes before sunset.
- We would wait even one hour in oil distributions, because the prepaid card the agency gave to the guide didn't work.
- The payment links they sent were not valid, the bank transfer went back and forth, because the iban they provided was wrong (the expenses were paid only by us). We paid cash, and the receipt took 5 days to arrive, because for them was low priority.
- Epupa falls are a malaria risk area, while the agency contact emailed we were not traveling in malaria risk areas. Luckily, we consulted travel infectious diseases doctor before traveling and took anti malaric prophylaxis, but they would have put at risk our health, if we were to trust their false information.
- Despite Namibia is really beautiful and the guide did his best to overcome the problems, the overall experience resulted a torture not to be repeated.
Definitely, Namibia is to be visited, but they are needed trustworthy providers, that don't ruin your travel.

As a team we value our Guests' feedback, as it continually helps us to improve our services. I feel it is important to address the points raised in your review and to respond to your concerns, which I hope will provide a balanced perspective, while having in mind our future Guests. I trust my response, may offer you as well as upcoming clients clarification, reassurance and our promise of continuation of providing the best possible experiences. This is and always was and will remain to be at the forefront of our services.
Although we have received negative feedback and its truly disappointing and disheartening to hear lees-than-positive observations - we do appreciate you taking the time to write us about it. Many of our Guests have had memorable and fulfilling experiences with us, both on fully accommodated and camping tours, and we regret that your experiences did not align with the positive feedback we typically receive, thus on behalf of our team I am genuinely sorry to hear that your experiences did not meet your expectations.
Please allow me to respond to each point raised in your review:
Meals and Dietary Requirements: our camping tours offer variety of meal options, and we pay great attention to our Guests' dietary requirements. After receiving the list of your dietary requirements, we have stocked up the tour fridge and pantry with fresh produce, such as vegetables and meat etc. Please bear in mind, traveling with you was another Guest as well as guide, who did not had special dietary requirements, and for whom we also made sure to cater accordingly. Guests with very specific requirements are encouraged and requested to assist the tour guide while he is shopping for suitable and special ingredients and groceries.
Before your tour we have clearly communicated that you are more than welcome to feel free to assist the guide with grocery shopping, so it fully agrees with your requirements. I am sorry to hear about your dissatisfaction with the food, but it's worth noting that our office in the pre-tour discussions as well as guide already on tour did tried our best to assist with your preferences and we generally receive positive feedback in this area from Guests with special dietary requirements. After the tour, guide provided us with shopping receipts which proved that variety of fresh produce, including meat and eggs, and other suitable ingredients were purchased both for yourself as well as for the other travel companion.
Over the years we have welcomed Guests from all corners of the world. Some of the Guests, had very specific dietary requirements and preferences, food allergies, specific religion-related requests (such as Halal, Kosher or Kashrut diet). We have welcomed Bahai, Hindu and Buddhist travelers, as well as Guests preferring vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, lacto-vegetarian, ovo-vegetarian, pescatarian diet, or Guests who requested no salt and no spices, or plenty of fresh vegetables and fruit as their health-related choice. Just to name a few; and most importantly, regardless of specific requests all our Guests are welcome!
During your camping tour we did cater to your dietary requirements and you were in no way forced, coerced or made to consume foods which could cause an allergic reaction or did not agree with your specific requirements - we are in fact grateful that throughout the tour you did feel fine, have successfully completed your journey, without any need for medical attention or intervention due to possible allergic reaction. The guide has also confirmed that he purchased at your suggestion ingredients which were best suitable for you.
Regarding skipped lunches, guide mentioned that only when you chose the lunch was skipped, otherwise daily fresh salads were prepared and offered, as per camping menu which includes light lunches, mostly picnic style. Salads were made out of fresh ingredients, such as lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, avocados, olives and olive oil, which you have requested. Due to your dietary requirements we considered excluding 'diary, legumes, cereals, wheat, flour, sugar, fruit juice, bread, flour and no industrial food' thus freshly prepared lunch salads fortified with avocados, or added beef sausage or fish offered lovely, suitable and nutritious option.
As always communicated, Guests with special dietary requirements are very welcome to assist, help and direct the guide while he is shopping for next part of the tour. We would not in the conscious mind offer our Guests food which may cause an allergy or health problems while on tour. We are in fact grateful that while accepting booking from Guest with many dietary requirements, no medical assistance whatsoever was needed or food-related emergency occurred on your tour.
Shower and Toilet Facilities: please note camping in remote areas may at times present challenges with water availability. Our itineraries and locations are selected to give travelers an authentic experience of Namibia's wilderness, while Guests who book camping tours do so consciously and with full understanding of its inconveniences. I have contacted each and every campsite included on your itinerary and it was confirmed back to me that hot water was available at each site and did not experienced problems with water. Starting from Sesriem Camp in the Namib Desert to Swakopmund, White Lady Lodge in distant Damaraland, Opuwo Lodge and Campsite in the Kunene, Epupa Falls Lodge and Campsite in the extereme north of the country, or at Halali and Waterberg camps located within the national parks - all had running warm water. In instances when Guests experience lack of water or no hot water, guide may report it to the site management to provide solutions. We assure you that we are always looking for ways to improve amenities even on camping tours while most of all maintaining the essence of the camping tour adventure.
Each itinerary proposed to our Guests includes website links to each lodge, campsite or site. Before accepting itinerary Guests are welcome to research specific lodge or campsite, propose changes or upgrades, even a different location or route altogether or suggest tailor-made plan. While discussing your camping tour, detailed information was provided including links to websites, distances between destinations, timing for all attractions and points of interest and itinerary was accepted.
Tour Scheduling: our tours are crafted to offer a comprehensive experience of Namibia’s highlights. Most importantly detailed itineraries are communicated to Guests in advance. The balance between travel and sightseeing is carefully considered and in discussion with Guests, as we understand individual preferences may vary. Many of our Guests appreciate the extensive exposure to various attractions within the given travel time frame, even if extended traveling is part of daily schedule. As you have probably noticed and agree Namibia is a vast country, and all attractions and destinations which Guests request to include in their itineraries are indeed located in the distanced regions, which requires driving, such as was your itinerary.
Payment Process: I regret any inconvenience you have experienced with payment issues, however the banking details which were provided were 100% correct, including the iban code. When bank transfer was unsuccessful, our office responded promptly, providing secure payment link. Please note secure link is valid only for limited time, and if not accessed by client, it expires and needs to be re-sent, so was in your case, we have sent it twice. While accepting payments from our Guests, occurrences of delay are very rare and steps are taken to ensure payment processes are efficient, smooth and reliable. If I may kindly suggest for your future travels to ensure that your payments are provided timely and without delay and leaving it for the very last moment, which then results in booking being cancelled and needed to be re-instated. Providing timely payment enables the agency or operator to secure campsites or lodges, and communicates to the operator that indeed client will be traveling.
Regarding refueling at petrol stations, as per information received from the guide, at times there was approximate 10-15 min waiting process, especially in the remote areas which may not have consistent signal supporting connection for POS device. Your tour did travel through remote regions and wilderness areas. Often Guests use these short stops to step out of the vehicle for legs or back stretching or just simply to catch some warm sunshine, while the signal is restored.
Health and Safety Information: the health and safety of our clients are paramount. Information provided to our clients is thoroughly researched and confirmed with latest updates from national tourism board, and additionally we do encourage all travelers to consult their personal healthcare provider before traveling to Namibia for individual advice and this is exactly what we communicated with you. Our Guests' proactive approach in seeking such medical advice prior to traveling - especially to the foreign continent - is appreciated and I am glad you received specific advise regarding the prophylaxis.
General Experience: our guides are praised for their dedication and expertise, and I appreciate that you recognized your tour guide's efforts. Namibia's beauty is indeed unparalleled, and we strive to enhance this natural allure with a well-organized and enjoyable tours, continuously making efforts to provide memorable experiences to our Guests.
As a tour operator we understand that travel experiences can be highly subjective, and we strive to accommodate the diverse preferences and needs of our individual clients. What may suit one Guest, may be completely unsuitable for another; what may appeal to one Guest, may be quite unappealing to another. Mentioning it, I feel it is important to address the literal use of the word 'torture', which was used above to describe your tour experiences. This term carries a very strong and specific connotation that typically refers to extreme physical or mental suffering. Torture as per dictionary is 'the action or practice of inflicting severe pain or suffering on someone as a punishment or in order to force them to do or say something.' The word torture may also be synonymous with abuse or torment, which even due to less than positive experiences is not suitable or applicable to a guided travel experience, especially the tour which was fully and successfully completed, as per accepted and confirmed itinerary and when in your own words 'guide did his best'.
As a team we ensured to offer prompt responses and made every effort to provide detailed advice before and during your tour, just as we offer to all our clients, to ensure a smooth and enjoyable journey. Despite our efforts, the prompt responses, careful consideration of dietary requirements and extending the due date for client's settling the tour payment, it seems we fell short of meeting your expectations, and for that, we once again apologize.

Our 12 day tour of Namibia was quite exceptional...I was expecting the landscapes and wildlife to be varied and amazing and they lived up to it. And our accommodations at each lodge was always beautiful and comfortable, with attentive staff that rightly took pride in their facilities, hospitality and surroundings.
Food was great at each stop...mostly locally sourced, and well-prepared.
What I most enjoyed was our interactions with the local Ovahimba people, their generosity, and the warmth they extended to us during our several visits.
Deepest thanks to our new friend and guide, Darius, who managed all the details, entertained us with stories he learned at his grandfather's knee, and the silly jokes he told during long drives, or around the campfire. Additionally, this man is a naturalist, knows geology and mineralogy, and can read the night sky like a true astronomer.
He made it all look easy, but I know he was working hard to show us the best of his country and culture, we really appreciate it, and hope you will be lucky enough to have him be your ambassador and guide on your tour of Namibia, too.

Fantastic small group tour. Our guide, Darius, was organised, knowledgeable and an excellent driver. He looked after us so well! The tour was really well designed with excursions and enough downtime to relax. Comfortable lodges with good food and in amazing settings. Stunning scenery and Etosha was a highlight. Overall, excellent tour and highly recommend.

We booked our tour through Wild Wind Safari and the process was seamless. We had a wonderful time in Nambia. Our guide Timan, was nothing short of amazing. He was compassionate, outgoing and very friendly. He took care of us very well during our time there. We visited Namibia in December when game viewing isn’t the most ideal but his dedication to ensuring we spotted almost all the animals is something we truly appreciated! He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable.

We have just finished the "12-days Namibia Highlights" tour together with Wild Wind Safari tour operator. On our way home, we only wish we could go back again.
The organization of the tour was great and the overall balance cannot be better. There were 5 of us in the group and our guide, Darius, has undoubtedly contribuyed towards making the trip the best possible.
There were 2 of us at the beginning and now we are a group of 6 friends.
Thank you Philip and thank you Darius for helpings us experience a part of incredible Namibia. We hope to see you soon.

Ten days in Namibija was incredible and unforgettable journey. Everything was perfectly and smoothly organized by Wild Wind Safaries. Our guide Tulimo was helpful, professional and especially an excellent driver. He contributed greatly to our fabulous experience in Namibija.

What kind of accommodations are provided. I am not interested in Tents but only Tent lodges where you do have an actual bed. And in Kenya this will be provided at the rate quoted. Also what will be the price for single-occupancy?

Pretendo ir no final de março/2019 durante 10 dias , fiquei muito interessada em fazer esse tour abrangendo o deserto e a area de safari.
