I did this tour with Ananta as a guide. He is very aknowledgable, whether in Nepali history or the spirituality/religions. I asked a lot of questions and he always took time to answer it very kindly. And most important, as a solo woman traveller, I felt very safe with him. He is very passionate and joyful guy. I really enjoy this tour with him

I have been to 75 countries and this tour was perhaps the best I have ever been on. Ananta my guide and Gopal my driver were just phenomenal. They really, really took care of me. I had gotten sick on one of the days of the tour and they went out of their way to make sure I felt better.
Ananta is perhaps the best tour guide ever! He is extremely knowledgeable about the history of Nepal, Buddhaism and Hinduism. He also took great care to make sure that I was okay during every stage of the tour. He knew the best places and took me to a healing center that made me feel so much better. There are a lot of tours that try to sell you stuff but this was not one of them.
I can't say enough how great this tour was and how great the company was. I will recommend this company 1000% and give them a 20/10.

This tour was fantastic. It met my needs and I got to spend the day seeing some important parts of Nepal. Shanti was my guide. She was professional, kind, knowledgeable, and flexible. I felt like I had plenty of time for each spot and if not, Shanti was willing to make time. However, being a solo traveler had its benefits compared to a large group. Thanks

Absolutely the best tour of historical sites in Kathmandu. My tour guide, Shanti, was fantastic. She gave me details on the historical, religious, and cultural aspects of every monument and temple we visited. She was knowledgeable, passionate about her country and culture, and a very pleasant person to spend an entire day with. We managed to see all the important cultural sites in just one day - it’s worth it! She also had a great sense of humor and made the tour fun and informative. I highly recommend this tour guide and this tour company.

I’ve had an incredible day exploring and learning about the history and culture of Kathmandu.
Had the amazing Rabina for my Tour Guide, Visited all the UNESCO heritage sites, temples, monasteries, i learned so much of all the traditions and cultural aspects of each place we visited.
Today i have been blessed by a Monk, was unfortunately not allowed to take any photos and had Tibetan Healing Therapy (Very different!)
Fantastic day and highly recommend.
Had the amazing Rabina for my Tour Guide, Visited all the UNESCO heritage sites, temples, monasteries, i learned so much of all the traditions and cultural aspects of each place we visited.
Today i have been blessed by a Monk, was unfortunately not allowed to take any photos and had Tibetan Healing Therapy (Very different!)

Santi was a wonderful tour guide- we had a fantastic day exploring, and even saw the Royal Kumari, which was an amazing opportunity. There was no question that Santi couldn’t answer, and I felt like I learned an incredible amount about the history, architecture, and religious significance of the sites we visited. The communication from Himalayan Planet Adventures was also great, with detailed instructions from my guide before pickup about what to bring, and what the expected weather forecast was. Thank you, Santi, for a memorable day!

The experience was amazing. This was my friend Kira and I’d first time in Kathmandu and this was a great introductory history, religious, and cultural perspective on the capital of Nepal. Our guide was Shanti and she was so knowledgeable and answered every question we had. We had a rooftop lunch overlooking a stupa and got to access multiple temples and see some rituals being performed by the river. Overall an amazing trip and would do again if I am back in Kathmandu!

This tour gives a precise and targeted overview of all the main UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. We had Shanti as our guide, and she is a wealth of knowledge -- happily explaining all the traditions and cultural aspects of each place we visited. Of particular interest was the Pashupatinath Temple, a Hindu temple and sacred site right on the river, where there are cremation ceremonies daily. Shanti explained the entire process and gave a great explanation of the different ceremonial aspects involved in a Hindu cremation ceremony. We also enjoyed visiting Swayambhunath (and seeing all the local monkeys!) -- the views of the city from here were delightful. We were very fortunate to see the Kumari (an incarnation of the living goddess) during our visit to Durbar Square. All in all a great tour!

We had a wonderful time visiting the different sites at Kathmandu. Our guide Sarita was very knowledgeable about the history of those places. Thanks to her we had the opportunity to see the Royal Kumari. Kudos to Sarita!
