    The trip was very well organized by Ace The Himalaya Company.
    Sherpa (Guide): Nima, is the best at his job. With 20 years of climbing and trekking multiple mountains in the Himalayas, he is the one to have by your side during trek. His in-depth knowledge of the routes and trekking in various weather conditions makes him the right person to have by your side during any mountain trek.
    His Porters, Charta Rai and Teak Bahadur are two of the best porters one can have on their trek trip. They go above and beyond to help carry your luggage and provide support in everything else you need help with. With their years of experience you won’t be lost on the trek on any given day when trekking with them.
    Nima, Charta, and Teak know exactly when to modify the itinerary should there be sudden weather related changes in your trek route, to make sure you and your group are safe and in good health to make the most of your experience.
    Please “ALWAYS” tip your Guide and Porter as the “TIP” means a lot to them and their families. It provides for their needs and necessities during off season when trekking is not busy. It is their only source of income. PLEASE TIP THEM GENEROUSLY.
    I guarantee you they will go above and beyond to take care of you and your group in every way possible!
    If possible, please ask for Nima, Charta and Teak to be on your team for trek, when booking through Ace the Himalayas.

    It really is the trip of a lifetime

    First of all: wow. I waited a couple of days to write this review after my trip was over so I could think of a good way to summarize my experience. Going into the trip I admit I was relatively unprepared—while I had all of the necessary supplies and physical conditioning necessary to complete the trek, I don’t think I expected to have such a rewarding & fulfilling experience in just under two weeks. Aside from the breathtaking views along the trek, our guides Maddy & Jit supplemented our trek by being the most supportive, resourceful, and overall exceptional humans to lead us on our journey. Between their leadership and the support of the porters, and everyone else from Ace that was supporting from Kathmandu, we were able to complete our trip safely and with minimal anxiety even in a Himalayan snowstorm. If you’re looking to take a trip to EBC, or really anywhere in the region, book through Ace.

    EBC trek - Ace the Himalaya

    ACE the Himalaya team provided a great experience for the 14 day EBC trek. They were clear with the instructions and their communication.

    The team that I had for the trek included the Guide - Madan(Maddy), assistant guide Jit and the porters ( Hira, Kumar, Basanta, Hemanta, Sabin and Dil), the hospitality provided in such remote areas was amazing.

    We experienced an unexpected snow storm on the way to Lobuche and the support from the ace team and the leadership shown by the Guide - Maddy to ensure safety for all clients and his support staff was the highlight of the trip.

    Ace the Himalaya is highly recommended.

    Go with Ace the Himalayas

    Our trekking experience was unforgettable and challenging. The Ace team handled our trip with care and professionalism. Our head guide, Raj, is well trained in identifying any symptoms of altitude sickness, dehydration etc.. He was kind, caring and always there to answer any questions. Our assistant guide, Sauman, kept us motivated with his amazing smile and encouraging “jam jam” all along the way. And Peshal, our steady and kind head porter, was always there to give a helping hand. All the porters, Narayan, Gombu, Sher, Dipak and Putra, carried our belongings day-to-day with ease and grace.

    Great Ace experience

    Phenomenal. The guides Raj and Sauman and the porters, Peshal, Narayan, Gombu, Sher, Dipak and Putra, were all incredibly hard working and accommodating. The trek covers beautiful terrain and anyone would be lucky to get to experience it with Ace.

    Adventure of a lifetime

    I had a wonderful experience doing Everest Base Camp Trek with Ace The Himalayas. Our guide Maddy and assistant guide Jit were there every step of the way to make the experience seemless whether it was proactively ensuring we had enough water, giving us accurate recommendations for what was ok to eat, debriefing us every evening with the events of the day as well as what was to expect the next day and more. To me it felt like all I had to do was focus on the walking and the breathtaking views.

    One night before our arrival to Everest Base Camp we were hit with one of the biggest snowstorms in recent memory and as a result we had to turn back in order to prioritize our safety. Maddy, Jit and the porters (Hira, Kumar, Basanta, Hemanta, Sabin, Dil) were extremely responsive and safety-oriented. Within minutes they had a plan for returning to a nearby town and reserving our beds for that night. The porters carried our bags through a snow storm making this difficult and potentially dangerous situation feel much more innocuous than it would have been without their expert judgement and execution.

    Overall, the trip was a blast and even though we didn’t make it to base camp (nobody did that week because they closed it), I felt like the journey itself had already been worth it because of all the fun, laughter and breathtaking views we shared along the way. I feel extremely grateful to Ace the Himalayas for this adventure of a lifetime and I would recommend any of their trips because I’m now familiar with the team’s passion and their commitment to providing a fantastic outdoor experience in even the most challenging situations. Once again a massive, heartfelt thank you to Maddy, Jit, Hira, Kumar, Basanta, Hemanta, Sabin and Dil 🙌🏼

    Hike the Himalayas with Ace,  Hike with Madan and his team

    I did the EBC trek with Ace between 22nd September and 2nd October 2024.

    It was a fantastic unforgettable life experience.

    All was perfectly organized and in particular:
    (a) the reservations within company's site
    (b) the help for booking from Sujan
    (c) the car transportation
    (d) the trekking lodges
    (e) the flight to Lukla
    and
    (f) the arrangement of helicopter return from Lukla to Kathmandu, due to bad weather, at a reasonable price

    Most of everything I should mention the professional and safe guidance and assistance provided by:
    (a) Madan our guide, (b) Jid the assistant guide and (c) the invaluable help of the porters Hira, Kumar, Basanta,  Hemanta, Sabin and Dil.

    On Saturday the 28th of September we encountered a strong snowstorm, unusual for this year time.
    The snowstorm hit as at the higher part between Dingboche and Lobouche, at a relatively high altitude (over 4400m), a snowstorm full of thunders and avalanches.

    The excellence of our guide Madan and his team was proved by the fact that he changed the plan in the middle of the route and with the help of the assistant Jid guided safely all the team in Pheriche.
    All this time the porters where running to move our staff and arrange our stay in Pheriche.

    We did not manage to reach EBC, but that was not the point.
    The point is that we remained completely safe in these sudden and extreme conditions.

    That's why I suggest to do any trek provided by Ace and in particular with Madan and his team.
    I will probably to it again I. Some years.

    Go to Himalayas with Ace, go with Madan, go with Jid go with the porters Hira, Kumar, Basanta,  Hemanta, Sabin and Dil.

    An awesome EBC trip with Ace the Himalaya
    We are a family of four (incl 2 teenagers) and had a wonderful, adventurous and challenging trip with the Ace team, even when it dumped snow like no-one expected.
    We are particularly thankful for the professionalism and warmth shown by our lead guide, Raj, along with Sauman (assistant guide), Peshal (lead porter), Narayan, Gombu, Dipak, Sher & Putra.
    Thanks also to Sujan in Kathmandu who was so responsive and helpful.

    Fantastic guides, service, experience!

    The company was very organized and answered all the questions prior to the trip through email. Their website is pretty thorough with the FAQs and payments, bookings. Our guide Raj Neupane, assistant guide Sauman, and porters Narayan, Sher, Gambu, Putra, Pesal, Dipak were incrediblyyyy kind, friendly, helpful, accommodating throughout the entire trek! And at the end when the weather posed some logistical challenges from lukla back to Kathmandu, our guide did insane amount of coordinations to organize a helicopter so we catch our international flights and Ace was very organized with readjusting our accommodations. And the trek itself and the views were remarkable! Goes without saying!
    Definitely recommend Ace the Himalayas.
