I recently completed the Manaslu Circuit trek via the upper route with 'Nepal Trekking Experts' in October last year. It was an amazing experience, my first Himalayan trek. The owner Rajesh was very helpful with planning and advice both in Kathmandu and via email, making me feel very confident about this trip and giving good advice about the equipment I needed. It was especially nice to be picked up from the airport by him - arrival at night in a strange city can be quite daunting! Although bad weather conditions were being reported in the high valleys around Manaslu, he kept me updated and planned a safe trip. I joined a group of 11 other trekkers for this trip, and we shared jeeps up to the trailhead at Barpak. The trekking team, with guide Rabin in the lead, and guides/porters Gakul, Kritam and Santosh, were always helpful and cheerful and couldn't do enough for us during the trek. They liked to entertain us with dancing and song, and were all smiles despite their loads and liked to chat. Their local knowledge of Manaslu proved invaluable when we needed a quick change of plans due to changes in path conditions, they always seemed to know how to get round any obstacles we came upon. As a bonus their cooking skills meant we always had a tasty range of meals in the teahouses. Although members of our group walked at different speeds, we always managed to find the way, helped by the team who kept with us all day. Their encouragement was especially appreciated particularly on the long, long day crossing the snowy Larkye La pass. Great service all round from the company and team and good value for money too. There was so much to appreciate on this circuit, from the grand vistas of snowy peaks, deep valleys, airy bridges, smiling faces, giggling kids and colourful mountain villages. I will certainly use Nepal Trekking Experts again when I return to Nepal for more adventures.

Our choice was Manaslu Cicruit Trek via Upper Route. We started from Barpak and via Larpak village via Singla Pass. I think we encountered fewer hikers on this trail compared to the main trail. The daily plans were well planned by the service provider. Accommodations were planned in naturally beautiful places. One moment only, my suggestion, that it would have been nice, if the day after Larya La pass day, the last hiking day had been planned for two days. For older hikers, two days in a row of high descents can be difficult. Our guide and porters were caring, attnetive and friendly.

We - a group of 12 - had an excellent experience trekking around Manaslu in October 2022 organized by Nepal Trekking Experts.
We were very well taken care of throughout our stay in Nepal.
The organizers met our group in the airport and transfered us to our hotel, helped us with the currency exchange and last-minute gear additions, briefed us throughly and even found us another porter last minute before heading out to the trek.
The activities and lodgings were well thought out and organized during the trek. Each evening, Rajesh gave us an overview of what to expect during the next day. Our group had people with quite different ages and physical capabilities - some wanted to hike around and see as much as possible, others had somewhat harder time and needed more downtime and rest. Rajesh planned our days so that everyone in our group was happy - we had rest days with several options for day hikes planned in. Also, our porters were incredibly helpful, on harder parts of the trek they sped ahead of our group to drop off their packs and came back to help the most tired ones by carrying their backbacks. And showed us some great dance moves during rest stops :D
What impressed me the most was the skill and knowledge of our guides and porters - in the middle of our trek, we started encountering groups coming back, telling us that there is a unpassable landslide ahead and that we should turn back. But Rajesh made a couple of calls and said that one of their guides already passed that part and we can continue, and so we did! We used an old road only the locals knew about to pass the landslide section, it took us several hours on rarely used small paths and was the most awesome trekking experience of my life!
Thanks to Rajesh and his crew, every member of our group made it happily over the Larkya pass in good health and great mood.
After we had finished our trek, our guides organized us a lovely farewell dinner with traditional Nepali singers and dancers.
I highly recommend Nepal Trekking Experts to everyone planning a trip to the Himalayas - they will take excellent care of you and will give you the best trekking experience you could ever wish for.
As a final cherry on top, I forgot my e-reader to a tea house somewhere in the middle of the trek and only realized it was gone a couple of days later. And Rajesh personally organized it safely back to me almost to the other side of the world... I am deeply moved and thankful about the care he (and his whole crew) gave us.

I had an excellent Mt. Manaslu trek in October 2022 with Nepal Trekking Experts & can whole heartily recommend them.
I was impressed with their professionalism, personablity, communication and organisation. I really valued the stress free aspect of the whole trip, for example NPE will meet you at the airport, transport you to your hotel, organise all alpects of the trek including trekking permits, arange all accommodation, provide a porter if you want one (recommended 🙂), help purchase any last minute items (in our case we needed crampons, as the pass was covered in snow), as well as providing excellent knowledgeable and experienced trek guiding.
I waited until I was in Kathmandu and could meet trekking companies offering Mt. Manaslu treks. Nepal Trekking Experts stood out from the 4 other recommended companies I spoke with: Rajesh is very professional, knowledgable, competent and well organised. Their fee for the trip was reasonable.
Our group was small, a Dutch couple, Excellent Guide: Lok (beware, Lok is very good at card games, never misses a trick:) ), Binod, our strong porter and me. We trekked most days 4-6 hours, staying in simple tea houses (private 2 person rooms). Tea houses have restaurants attached, you will get to know Dal Bhat..
The trek was spectacular, we had amazing views of many mountains and glaciers. There were many unforgettable moments and stunning photos! The flora and fauna slowly changes from tropical to alpine over the days hiking, which is interesting, it's not until day 4 that you start to see the big mountains. Most days are 3-5 hours walking.
I have no hesitation in recommending Nepal Trekking Experts & will trek with them again next year.

Unbelievable trip! everything was well organised from start to finish. Our guide Ganesh was superb and made the trek a lot of fun . Also a shoutout to the porters Santa and Kritan were also amazing!

Rajesh was patient in answering our queries leading up to the trip, settling our trekking permits and provided a detailed briefing before we embarked on the hike.
Our guide Basanta was very knowledgeable and has a keen eye for spotting wildlife along the hike. We felt engaged and learnt much about the sacred Himalayan peaks, the culture and religion of various regions from him. To prepare us for the next day, he would provide a comprehensive briefing of what we can expect on the hike, including duration, level of difficulty, things we can look out for. This helped us feel assured and prepared for the day ahead.
Amenities wise, the guest houses along the trails were well furnished, equipped with hot showers, heating stoves in the dining areas and Wifi.
Food wise, we indulged mostly in dal bhat which provided us the much needed fuel for the hikes, but there are usually plenty of other options you can choose from.
Now about the actual hike itself, we felt that the manaslu circuit trek is one underrated hike. From subtropical rainforests, through coniferous forests and eventually breaking out of the tree line, we were constantly in awe of the ever changing scenery as we inched closer towards the snow capped mountains. Definitely a trek that is suitable for hikers of average fitness/ are beginners!

Joined solo for Manaslu circuit trek for an open group. Raj was helpful and patient in answering questions upfront and recommending the right group.
Pitched together, welcome in Kathmandu incl. preparation for the trip (you can get last minute items in Kathmandu), throughout the trek and going back an awesome experience. Definitely a trek to recommend with great views (we had great weather in general every day).
Besides, a great team with Ganesh, Kritam and Santa for all their support, fun and dancing! All handled professionally & well on the trek and in the tea houses. Competition of cards & dice included.
Would definitely choose them again :)

Wszystko od A do Z było zorganizowane perfekcyjnie. Cena za całość bardzo przystępna. Przewodnicy profesjonalni i niezwykle pomocni. Polecam Kritama (porter) i Goultoma (przewodnik). Niesamowici ludzie. Właściciel firmy świetnie mówi po angielsku, jest bardzo sympatyczny i pomocny. Trekking był niesamowity i profesjonalnie zorganizowany.

From the get go, we had everything planned, all th way through to the very end!
Our guide, Gonash, was excellent! A proper pro and had insanely good hospitality the whole way through. I can't count the good chats and great laughs we had along the trek. There was never a problem that they could not fix.
Santa and Kritam our porters were just as professional and to be honest were just like travelling with more friends. Singing and dancing was common and encouraged. The backdrop the whole way was mind-blowing.
The food was epic at each tea house. The challenges were just as enjoyable as the beautiful moments in the forests or on the snow.
This was a trip you do not want to miss out. Initially I did not know what to expect and just gave into to letting the our hosts just lead the way and it wall went above smooth and so so memorable!
Will be back to visit all the guys and do it all over again soon!

We got in contact with Rajesh over email and after we met him in person in Kathmandu we immediately felt we were in good hands. It was important for us that the company could also transport our stuff to Pokhara, which was no problem. Furthermore, Rajesh provided us with extra warm clothing and even organized a dinner with other clients who were also about to go on a trek.
He brought us in contact with his uncle and our guide Thakur. Thakur has a lot of experience on the trail, showed us the way and arranged everything for us in the teahouses. Yet, perhaps more importantly, he is also a very cheerful and funny guy and a great dancer. We had good talks, learned some Nepalese and played cards.
When we go back to Nepal we will definelty go for annother trek with Nepal Trekking Experts
