- Det er en total avstand på ca 138 km mellom Kathmandu og Sotikhola. Den første halvdelen (90km) av veien er godt sementert (dette er mellom Kathmandu og Dhading) slik at turen din vil være komfortabel. Men etter dette ville det være en utfordrende tur med støv, gjørme og svært smal vei. Under normal trafikk vil det bare ta 6-7 timer før den private jeepen kommer til Sotikhola, og for lokalbussen kan det ta en time lenger.
- Privat jeep vil bli gitt hvis gruppestørrelsen er minst 4 trekkers. For en gruppe mindre enn 4, må du ta en lokal buss fra Kathmandu til Arughat, og deretter en lokal jeep fra Arughat til Sotikhola.
- Trail oppdatering: På grunn av den pågående veibyggingen på stien, kan de første to dagene (fra Sotikhola til Tatopani) være lengre enn vanlig. I enkelte deler, fordi de vanlige stiene er stengt, vil det være nødvendig med en omkjøring.
- Overnatting
- Grunnleggende private rom med felles toalett er stort sett tilgjengelig over hele trekanten. Men vær så snill å forvente en natt i Dharmasala, hvor du må dele rom med andre trekkers i høysesongen. - Mat
- Hvert tehus har en restaurant / kjøkken som tilbyr kontinental mat. "Dal bhat power i 24 timer", den vanligste nepalske parabolen lar deg spise ris så mye du kan. Normalt produseres grønnsaker i tehus fra eget felt. Dette er vanligvis økologisk, så bra for helsen din. Ikke alle leirene tilbyr kjøtt (kylling, fårekjøtt og svinekjøtt). Vær også oppmerksom på at biff er nesten ikke-eksisterende her. Hvis de gjør det, bør du sjekke med din guide hvis dette er friskt før du legger inn bestillingen. På grunn av høyde og vær er det noen ganger vanskelig å dyrke disse dyrene til konsum. Lagring av kjøttet om vinteren kan også være utfordrende. Bedre trygg enn beklager.

- Drikker vann
- Relativt er vannet i fjellet ikke så forurenset som i byen og er vanligvis drikkbart. Du vil se lokalbefolkningen og din guide drikker dette vannet uten problemer. For å være trygg, vennligst vær sikker på at du bruker vannrensingstap. eller drikke flaskevann. In eerste instantie wilde we graag een trekking doen zonder gids, met z’n tweeën heb je toch wat meer privacy. Maar wat zijn we blij dat we uiteindelijk met onze gids Hari en onze porter Ganesh op pad zijn gegaan. We hebben de Manaslu trekking gedaan en het was een ervaring om nooit te vergeten! Dagen lopen weg van waar de wegen eindigen waan je je in een compleet andere wereld. Het was prachtig maar ook pittig. Hari en Ganesh hebben ervoor gezorgd dat het ons aan niets ontbrak en waren ook nog eens erg gezellig om mee te kletsen. Als we genoeg energie overhadden speelden we ‘s middags nadat we aankwamen ook wel eens een kaartspelletje, dat zorgde echt voor een relaxte vibe. Hari is een ervaren gids met een passie voor trekking en voor de bergen. Wanneer het nodig was nam hij zijn werk erg serieus en daardoor voelde we ons heel veilig in het afgelegen Manaslu gebied. Ook was het erg fijn dat we zelf geen slaapplek hoefde te regelen wanneer we aankwamen, geloof me, je bent bekaf en het laatste waar je zin in hebt is gedoe met het regelen van een slaapplek. Ganesh liep meestal wat voor ons uit en als we aankwamen kregen we meteen de kamersleutel, echt top! Dus wil je een mega vette trekking maken en ben je op zoek naar een professionele gids en porter? Ga voor Hari en Ganesh!
Wel even een extra opmerking wat betreft het gebruik maken van een porter. Uiteindelijk was de duffelbag met al onze spullen zwaarder dan we van te voren hadden gedacht, hoewel het wel gewoon binnen de marge viel van 20 kilo. Ik gok dat de tas ongeveer 16 kilo was. Achteraf hadden we spijt dat we niet hebben gekozen voor 2 porters. Het is echt zwaar en de route is pittig.

We went to Nepal for two months from October to December (2022) to trek and climb. We began with the Manaslu Circuit Trek and added the Anapurna trek after completing Manaslu. After a short rest, we completed the 3 Passes Circuit Trek with a side trip to EBC. The trekking was glorious.
Along the way we spoke with many trekkers, most of whom were there for two weeks, sometimes a bit longer. On occasion we would be told that they had a good guide, even a great one. We are writing to indicate that we had one of the latter. Hari was our only guide for our trip and stands out in the Nepal guiding community due to his kindness, tolerance, abundant skill set, ability to solve problems and his command of the English language. He continues to study so as to improve his fluency.
We were fortunate to have had Hari as our guide as there were issues throughout our lengthy trip. Hari was able to address and solve each. No issue was too small or too large and Hari's willingness to help remained unwavering throughout our journey.
We will be returning in the near future and Hari will assuredly be the guide with whom we trek and climb on our journey. We strongly recommend Hari for any adventure you seek should you visit Nepal. It was a joy and a privilege to have met and traveled with him!

In October 2022, with a group of friends, we did the Manaslu Circuit Trek with the NEST Adventure agency.
We found the NEST Adventure on the internet based on good reviews, but because it was our first time in Nepal, we didn't know how it would turn out.
Fortunately, everything went well. At the beginning we contacted the owner Raj via zoom, with whom we discussed logistics, costs and all the questions we had. After arriving in Kathmandu our guide Netra Pokhrel was waiting for us at the airport, who from that moment took care of us. Throughout our stay in the mountains, we felt taken care of, safe, thanks to which we could fully enjoy the trekking and immerse ourselves in the mountains.
When problems occured he always knew what to do, how to react, so we knew he was the right person in the right place. Netra is a wonderful, humble man and a great guide, he became our friend during trekking. Thank you Netra!
With a pure heart I can recommend Nest Adventure and above all the Netra guide. This trip will stay in my memories forever.

At the turn of October and November 2022, thanks to the support of NEST Adventure, we had a wonderful Manaslu Circuit Trekking.
When it comes to aesthetic impressions, it was simply beautiful, the Himalayas and Nepalese whom we had the opportunity to meet enriched our team with wonderful memories and experiences.
One of the key people thanks to whom we had everything we needed was Netra Pokhrel - our guide from NEST Adventure. He is a very helpful and sincere person, a true professionalist. Thanks to his commitment, we had a well prepared but also flexible trekking plan. In any emergency or crisis situations Netra immediately knew what to do. It made us all feel safe and focus on exploring this amazing place.
It was a great trip. Thank you Netra, thank you NEST Adenture! :)

We completed Manaslu Circuit Trek with Nest Adventure. It was remarkable time. We traveled in a group of five with guide and one porter.
We contacted the Nest agency taking into account the good opinions on the Internet. And it was a very good choice. Before the trip, we agreed all the details of the trek, We had good contact with the head of the company Raj who answered our questions and doubts, including the on-line meeting we asked for.
If you travel to the Himalayas, you are looking for agency that would be professional, responsible and affordable at the same time. And so it was with Nest.
From the first to the last day of our stay in Nepal, we felt looked after by an agency and a guide. The guide Netra picked us up from the airport and later accompanied us during the entire trek. Throughout the entire trip, Netra supported us on the journey with his knowledge and experience. We felt safe with him but at the same time he gave us enough space to feel spirit of the mountains . Thanks to him we as a team could focus on trekking and Netra and porter dealt with all other things that had to be taken care of during such an expedition. In a crisis situation, Netra also strongly supported us. We established a great contact with Netra, which made the trek even more unforgettable. The whole trek turned out to be an amazing experience that we will not forget for the rest of our lives. If someone is going to the Himalayas and is looking for an agency they can count on, in my opinion Nest is definitely a good choice and Netra is the best guide you can expect.
We will miss for Nepal and Netra who became our friend and of course these amazing mountains.

This was my second trip to Nepal, on the Manaslu circuit with Nest Adventures in mid April 2022. Perhaps a bit cooler than my fall trek to ABC in 2017. We had a small group of 4 plus our great guide Netra and 2 very good porters. Weather was very good with just light snow flurries on our Larke La pass day. This was a bit more adventure and more difficult than my first trek to ABC. Not as crowded and more Tibetan influence in the more remote higher villages. We did the private jeep both directions from Kathmandu which was well worth it. All in all the experience with Nest was very good and highly recommend them. We had a great time and I lost a few pounds along the way.

We had a great trip with NEST adventure and our guides Hari and Kanchan! The trek was certainly challenging as it is advertised but the views are spectacular and the tea houses we stayed in were better than we imagined. Due to covid we were lucky enough to have two fab guides with us that were always eagle eyed, pointing out wildlife, up for chatting and playing cards with us while also giving us space on the hike to enjoy time to ourselves. We always felt incredibly safe even though the pass day was an especially technical day and we were a little slow meaning the snow was melting as we passed over it. Having our guides organise and work with the tea house hosts meant we could focus on enjoying ourselves and the trip, we would have been utterly lost without them. I couldn’t recommend enough, it wasn’t the experience I had anticipated but it was better in many ways! The side trip to the monastery was especially good.
We have done multi day hikes before but were still nervous about hiking in the high altitudes, having our guides look over our equipment before was really reassuring and once we were out there there was no going back.
Definitely a challenging hike but you can go knowing you are in safe hands with nest adventure.

Had the most incredible trek experience with Nest Adventure. We were lucky to have two guides, Kanchan and Hari, who were friendly, knowledgeable and brilliant company on the trail. Kanchan carefully checked our gear before we left Kathmandu so we were reassured that we had the right stuff. Hari excelled as a translator for all our questions when we visited a monastery. Both guides ensured we were safe and well looked after at all times. They also spotted animals for us (including mountain goats and marmots), explained the significance of the shrines we passed and ensured we didn't miss any of the amazing sights along the way.
I would recommend Nest Adventures and Kanchan and Hari to anyone wanting to go on the Manaslu Circuit. It was the trek of a lifetime!

Would recommend 10/10 having done the Langtang trek before with another company and then the Manaslu Circuit with NEST in March 2022.
N.B. I am not affiliated with any business or guide, just a traveller looking to help others with a big decision.
Our guides, Kunchan and Heri, were brilliant. With the pandemic's slashing effect on guide work still sadly ongoing we were lucky enough to trek with two guides rather than the traditional and expected guide/porter team. This meant we benefitted from two excellent sources of knowledge, keeping us well informed and safe, and explaining for us the Nepali and Tibetan culture we were immersed in along the way. Both are great organisers, optimizing the trek and side trips along the way; are chatty companions and always equally up for a card game or lengthy discussion; and the least of their abilities is that they are both fluent in English. I'd recommend either or both of Kunchan and Heri every time.
NEST is a family business run by Raj. Raj gets it - he's managing to combine the personal touch of family with modern marketing and his business will certainly challenge the status quo in Thamel or the western 'middle men' companies. I chose NEST when I read their blogs and watched their videos - these are great as not simply a 'what you'll see on the trek description'. No instead they understand what a would-be trekker needs to know, so go check that out. Raj solidified my decision by arranging a WhatsApp call where we fine tuned exactly what my group wanted with local knowledge into a workable trek.
These are good people helping Nepal recover from the 2015 earthquake, 2020's COVID, and now the post pandemic fear of travel. Consider NEST, check out their helpful content, and get trekking in arguably the most beautiful country in the world.

Both are great organisers, optimizing the trek and side trips along the way; are chatty companions and always equally up for a card game or lengthy discussion; and the least of their abilities is that they are both fluent in English. I'd recommend either or both of Kunchan and Heri every time.
NEST is a family business run by Raj. Raj gets it - he's managing to combine the personal touch of family with modern marketing and his business will certainly challenge the status quo in Thamel or the western 'middle men' companies. I chose NEST when I read their blogs and watched their videos - these are great as not simply a 'what you'll see on the trek description'. No instead they understand what a would-be trekker needs to know, so go check that out. Raj solidified my decision by arranging a WhatsApp call where we fine tuned exactly what my group wanted with local knowledge into a workable trek.
These are good people helping Nepal recover from the 2015 earthquake, 2020's COVID, and now the post pandemic fear of travel. Consider NEST, check out their helpful content, and get trekking in arguably the most beautiful country in the world.

We had an amazing time in Manaslu Circuit Trek! An authentic experience with rich mountain scenery and cultural interactions. Our guide Kanchan was very professional, he knew the area like the palm of his hand, solving all of our enquiries about the route, the mountains and helping us enjoy the trek, taking care of all the details for us. Kanchan also took care of us like a friend, helped my wife with her pack during the Larkya Pass. We also had a very helpful porter Saroj. We thank both of them for the amazing experience and would recommend NEST to do the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Go to Manaslu base camp it is worth it!
