We arranged our trip through Tourradar and Artunj, our tour manager did a great job communicating with us.
Elvin was our very knowledgeable driver and guide during our stay in Azarbaijan. He proudly and thoroughly explained the local cultures, foods, religions and history to us. We enjoyed the contrast between old an new in Baku. The old city is interestng and very walkable and we particularly enjoyed the beautiful Carpet Museum and modern Haydar Aliyev Art Museum. The city has a strong connection with oil and is surrounded by oil refineries. As a matter of fact we visited the world's oldest commercial oil well right outside of Baku. A side trip to a mud volcano was quite an experience racing and bouncing over dirt roads in a Russian Lada.
Another highlight was a sidetrip to Qobustan National Park and excellent Petroglyphs Rock Art Museum with Homo Sapiens and Neanderthal rock carvings. Some other visits were to historic Lahic village with quaint cobblestone streets and the ancient Atashgah Zoroastran Fire Temple. Sheki is an interesting and beautiful city in the Caucuses mountains. Especially interesting was our visit to the Stained Glass Workshop at the palace of the Sheki Khans.
We loved our ride through the mountains to the mountain village of Kish with its very narrow streets to visit the ancient Albanian church. On our way to the Georgian border we stopped at the lovely. but smallish, Mamirli (mossy) waterfall, involving another exciting car ride along a rocky road/stream bed.
Arriving at the Georgian border Elvin helpfully waited to make sure we made it accross.
Once across we knew we arrived in the country were wine originated about 8000 years ago as our driver's first action was to drop us off at a winery for some wine tasting. This would not be our last opportunity.
The city of Tiblisi reminded us of some southern European cities with its cobblestoned streets and balconies. The city feels very inviting and Nino our guide made us feel at home. She toured the city with us and shared her extensive knowledge of her country and was more than willing to answer all our questions as odd as they may have been.
With Nino we visited a traditional bakery for some wonderful breads as well as Bodbe's St. Nino 's Convent Cathedral. After that to Sinaghi to walk the old city wall.
And, of course, wine tasting and more wine tasting and, let's not forget the Chacha, the Georgian wine wodka akin to the Italian grappa. Georgian wines are very fresh and tasty both red and white and are made Georgian style (a process involving pressing whole grapes) or European style.
Our last visit was to a family winery in a very beautiful setting for some more tasting and explaining of processes and special tools involved.
In closing we want to thank our guides Elvin and Nina for sharing their knowledge and love for their cultures, language and history with us. Accommodations and their locations were very good. We especially loved the very fresh traditional foods. One important reminder though. Bring comfortable shoes. Both Elvin and Nino will be mindful of your mobility, but no matter, it will enhance your experiences.
Lastly, we recommend Tourradar. We've used them before.
        Enjoy your travels.

Baku had excellent museums, I loved the Museum of Modern Art, great parks & statues to explore. In general monuments were well maintained as were the buildings . The Noble House Museum is worth booking a tour, great history in this home. Baku is a modern city with oil being drilled in the city today. It has great restaurants & wine friendly people which makes for a good experience.
Out in the country I enjoyed seeing the mud volcanoes, Sheki city, waterfalls & it does have very different terrain as we travelled through the country on good roads.
A oil rich country worth visiting.

We enjoyed our 9 day Azerbaijan and Georgia trip. Artunj was so very helpful and fast with every question we had. The organisation was perfect and Elvin our Azerbaijan guide/driver was a lovely guy. Nino in Georgia was super informative and flexible with our itinerary.
Highly recommend this trip to others.

We reached out to Azerbaijanguide.az to help us in planning a private Caucasus tour that involved 3.5 days in Azerbaijan, 4.5 days in Georgia. Our positive experience started pre-trip with Artunj the tour manager, who was responsive and patient in answering all our questions promptly via WhatsApp and readily accommodated the changes we requested to the itinerary. A group chat was set up a few days before the trip to facilitate communication (and helped ensure that any questions/issues encountered during the trip were addressed quickly).

We were given clear directions to meet our guide + driver at the designated spot within Baku airport. Rovshen the guide was very knowledgeable, rattling facts and figures on all the places we visited and even some we passed by along the way with ease. He was particularly passionate about Qobustan Rock Art and made the trip there a fun learning experience. For the next leg to Sheki, Farhad doubled up as our guide/driver and was just as knowledgeable and very professional (e.g., spoke good English and always punctual). The drive to Sheki was long but highly recommended; we very much enjoyed all the stops and scenic sights enroute and within Sheki itself that gave us a deeper understanding and appreciation of the beautiful culture of Azerbaijan.

Farhad dropped us off at the Azerbaijan Lagodekhi border (note: at our time of visit in May 2024, the road is still closed off to vehicles). It is a fairly long walk across the border to Georgia on foot so be prepared to tow or carry your luggage across an inclined walkway for about 10 to 15 minutes depending on your pace. We were given clear details of the next meeting point past immigration and located our driver Ivane easily. While he didn’t speak much English, we got by with Google Translate. Ivane was primarily tasked with sending us to our hotel but went the extra mile by stopping enroute to show us a traditional shoti bakery and helping us locate a moneychanger with good rates to change USD to GEL, allowing us to experience the local Georgian hospitality right from our first day in.

We did several day tours in Georgia, starting with a Tbilisi walking tour. Some places were closed due to the Orthodox Easter public holiday, but it was nonetheless a good introduction to the city sights and culture amidst the rainy weather. The wet weather persisted during the Kazbegi/Gudauri tour the next day, so unfortunately we only caught glimpses (and had to imagine) what would have been the scenic Caucasus mountains which were largely obscured by thick fog. Heard from other travelers that there was a landslide the following day and tours had to be cancelled/rescheduled, so it might be a good idea to do this tour within your first few days in Georgia just in case you need to change up your plans due to bad weather.

We also went on the Kakheti wine region tour which includes stops to Bodhe Convent and Sighnaghi city. As the sun finally showed up, we had a great view of the city and clouds on the walk along the latter’s old city walls. This was also where we had lunch (tip: go for the optional sharing menu which includes wine - we chose to settle our own meal ala carte and the costs worked out to be almost the same). A special shoutout to Oki the guide for the day who was friendly, knowledgeable, and took great care (and photos) of the tour group.

Our last day tour in Georgia was to Uplistsikhe, Gori and Mtskheta. The views were fantastic at Uplistsikhe cave town and we had ample time to explore the area as our entry tickets excluded wine tasting. Our time in Gori city felt a bit tighter as we opted to have a set lunch (a good selection of local Georgian fare) + visit to the Stalin museum (whose entrance fees were covered in our tour package). The alternative would have been to explore the city on your own during this time. David was the guide for this tour and gave clear instructions / sufficient time to explore the remaining two stops on tour. He showed us the best spots for photos at Jvari Monastery which requires a walk up a steep hill. At Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, we were briefed on its history before proceeding inside where all the notable spots / artworks were pointed out and explained. The tour was well paced and we managed to avoid rush hour on the return to Tbilisi, which gave more time to explore the city in the evening on our own.

On hindsight, it would have been great to spend at least 1 to 2 more days in both countries but we were happy with how the tour turned out and enjoyed our time there.

An interesting travel organised by Artunj. We had a good experience of Azerbaijan and Georgian history/ Culture. Such an enlightening experience. Our guide in Azerbaijan, Mr Farhad was pleasant and accommodating. Thank you for the hospitality. Our guide in Georgia was Mr George. Also a soft spoken and knowledgeable person. The meals were Halal and good.
        We highly recommend others.

Note. The only hassle was at the border crossing Azerbaijan to Georgia. Be prepared for a long walk.

It was a very well planned and eased out trip. My parents had a very enjoyable time. Roshvan in Azerbaijan, Erikali in Tblisi and Lado in Sighnaghi were the best guides we've ever had - helpful, informative and entertaining! Would definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking to Travel both countries in one trip.

P.S. Crossing from Azerbaijan to Georgia border was a tiring walk with our bags. There's a helper available at a reasonable charge. I'd recommend taking that.
