The trip was good. Our guide, Ziv, was informative and charming. The lunch place was overpriced and substandard but that I suppose is to be expected on such tours.

Nice tour of the place by a Spanish English guide, (ekke?) because no visit in French this week. Akko's restaurant is mediocre and I would have liked to also take a tour outside to visit this city.

Because we booked a multiple day tour, our hotel was arranged (and paid) by Bein Harim. The organisation was pretty well and we were picked up from our hotel absolutely on time (pick up time was 7.00 and the taxi driver came 7.02). We were then brought directly to Caeserea were we met with the rest of the group and surely our tourguide Itamar.
The whole tour was really interesting and Itamar could talk for hours, which made it very fascinating. He could take everything to talk about and gave an insight into the country. There was for example a car in front of us with a Hebrew writting on it and he even started to explain some Hebrew to us. Furthermore, you could clearly see and hear his love for Israel when he was talking.
The places we visited were worth to be visited. Furthermore, we've never been too long in the sun, but changed from time to time into a building or back into the car. Therefore, you might not even need sunscreen. Furthermore, there was always the possibility to go to the toilets (and refill the waterbottles).
Even the food we ate was delicious and with a reasonable price.
Just when it took us a bit longer in a shop to buy something, the tour guide already continued (which we do understand because of the size of the group), and therefore we missed some explanations about the crusaiders. This is a bit of a downside when you travel with a rather large group. It was even done parallel to a spanish-Bein Harim tour.
Nevertheless, all in all I can strongly recommend the tour, the places are worth to visit and the organisation of Bein Harim is just brilliant!

We had a fantastic day trip from Tel Aviv and travelled to Caesaria, the Ba’hai gardens & Acre. Michael was our guide and he was fantastic. He has an in depth knowledge of the area, is passionate about the history and was enthusiastic about answering all our questions. He shared a lot of information in a way that kept us all engaged over the entire day. Thank you very much Michael and the Bein Harem Team

We recommend guided tours especially with the guide Jonathan aka Jojo who is a fantastic guide! He takes the time to explain well and ensures that everyone understands his explanations. His turn is clear and relevant and he is always in a good mood! All subjects can be discussed with him and you should not hesitate to ask him questions. The big plus: it is an objective guide which highlights the plurality of opinions on a subject. It was a pleasure to meet him! We highly recommend.

Bein Harim Ltd. ran the tour for Viator. It was advertised as a small group tour in English but instead was a large coach tour in Spanish and English which doubled the amount of time needed for all information and decreased the time available for questions. The entire tour felt rushed as a result. The guides command of English was barely passable, but he was a fluent Spanish speaker, this lead to brief explanations in English and more detailed info provided in Spanish. This was confirmed to me by a bilingual member on the tour. The other area which took value out of the tour for my wife and I was the phrase " Get your pictures and then get back to the bus". We realize that day tours have a schedule to follow but our guide was so time conscious that we felt as if we were being herded along all day. The sites included on the tour were for the most part wonderful, but the gratuitous stop at the guides friends jewelry shop in Akko was time that could have been better spent at one of the advertised tour sites. Overall this tour was not full value for the money and it was an exercise in frustration. Viator should screen their local tour providers to weed out this lack of quality. We would not recommend this local tour company utilized by Viator. Garth&Lydia. Canada.

We took this tour of Caeserea, Rosh Hanikra, and Acre with Erez as our guide.
Good
- The tour packs in these 3 major sites all in one day which is great if you have limited time. It would probably be difficult to do this all on your own in the short time.
- Our guide Erez was friendly and accommodating for the large group on the tour.
- Our bus driver was great at navigating tight spots.
- The sites were excellent and all worth seeing (I wish we had more time, see cons below).
- Rosh Hanikra was beautiful, the history was interesting, and it was fun to go right up to the border of Lebanon and wave at the UN guard.
- Acre had amazing history and would have liked much more time there.
- Caesarea was the perfect amount of time to get an overview of the history and quickly see the main sites.
Cons
- Too much time waiting in a shop in Acre. When we arrived at Acre, we were told to enter a shop while we were waiting for our guide to get tickets. We waited there for a good 30 minutes. We should have been told that the wait would be that long so that those of us who did not want to shop could explore the fascinating city.
- There was not enough time in Acre. We did not even get to see the water or the port because we were in the shop and eating lunch most of the time.
- While our guide was good, he had to speak both in English and in Spanish. It was sometimes difficult to follow the history when he was switching back and forth between languages. Plus we probably did not hear most of the history because there was limited time to give complete commentary in both languages. There were only a couple of people on the tour that spoke Spanish and it would have been much better if the entire tour was only in English.

Hi, there were no kids on our trip but that doesn’t mean you can’t bring a small child. However I think the long journeys on the bus might be a bit boring for a kid.

If you are staying at a hotel in Tel Aviv that is not listed as a pickup, what is the standard protocol to book? I am happy to walk to the nearest hotel that is a pick up, but have never been to Tel Aviv before so I don’t know what that is. What have others done in the past regarding this when booking and communicating with tour company? We’re planning a trip for fall of 2022.

Jerry I’m not sure about what city you are going to be in. This trip can be taken out of Tel Aviv or Jerusalem. I went out of Tel Aviv and booked through Trip Advisor. I believe if I remember correctly, this trip was bi lingual. German and English together.... terrible idea. Find a tour with English ONLY. Contact your hostel again and ask that question. If it is bi lingual you will find yourself wondering. Have fun. Wish I was going again.

Galinda,, I believe pick up was around 7-8 and drop off was around 5-6. When you book they should give times through a text. (They did me). It was a good trip. I would make sure only one language is spoken whatever trip you take. I believe I may have been with two languages and it’s NOT fun. Enjoy!

The stop in Acre includes the lunch stop.the walk through the Crusader city and excavations is approximately one hour.If you wish extensive time to explore you would certainly need lots more time. It is impressive and spectacular with modern museums a nd a Hamam that are reconstructed.We donot visit these for shortage of time.A train station is nearby,this can bring you there from Tel Aviv for the whole day!
