Don't waste your time and money! This was by far the worst hop on/off bus tour I've ever taken! Little to no tour description and it's only in Korean.

We have taken the hop on hop off in many countries. Must say the one in Seoul is the worst. They have Korean as a language to listen via the headset but they are blasting it through the speakers. There seems to be 2 different configuration of buses. The one with the upper decker closer has good AC in the lower level, a must in Seoul during the summer due to high humidity. We were lucky to get such a bus at one point. The drivers were pretty rude, probably they like to cater to western and fair skin tourists

We thought that the commentary in English was not that good, and it was also at times hard to hear what was said. The seats were quite narrow, and we had a difficult times to fasten the seatbelts so the driver came back to us several times to tell us to put on the seatbelts.

It is better if you do the city tour. This tour just goes around the city. It's like taking the bus. Goes around important points.

It's the worst hop on hop off that I've experienced. The interval of the bus is too long that if you stop at a tourist spot and you feel like that u don't like it you don't have a way to go to the next site coz you have to wait for 40 mins for the next bus. If you ask me just use the public bus instead. Its cheaper to get to the sites you want to go and the next bus is available every 5 to 10 minutes.

What a waste of money! We ran to make the first bus only to find out that the stop had changed due to the Seoul marathon. Not a big deal but we were not informed (was it that hard to send an email out to registrants?) We ended up missing the bus and having to wait 40 minutes. Also, they informed us that two of the stops were not available that day. The English translation was awful with barely any information and every bus was way over booked. I take a hop on/hop off style tour whenever I am in a city for a short time. This was the worst one I have ever taken.

Terrible, only in Korean and the double decker bus had a roof; for that do yourself a favor and buy a regular bus ticket and stay on it for an hour and a half same basic experience only youre paying far less and can get off anytime. I took a cab to my destination that was more entertaining

Like the other reviews have mentioned, this is better treated as a bus that takes you to places you want to go, rather than a “tour bus”. Also will need to navigate your own way to some spots from the bus stops as they often don’t drop you off right at the sights. For the price, no complaints, and if you’re short on time and just want to ride the loop to see the city, it’s not so bad either. Buses came punctually but 40 minutes is a lot of time between buses - wish they’d increase their frequency to every 15-20 minutes especially given the buses only run for about 7 hours a day. You’ll lose out if you try to “hop off” to see everything.
Wish they offered a route that covered more ground (ie Gangnam, Itaewon) or added them to the existing route.
Would be more convenient if the voucher sufficed to board at any stop instead of having to go to Gwanghwamun Station to redeem for a ticket.

Very poor , there is not explanation on the route you can’t hear the announcer,plus there is no real sites to see , not worth the time or the money , probably the worst hop on hop off bus we have ever done in the world ,

Experience was okay, but not more. Korean sound track plays over loudspeakers, making it difficult to follow along in another language using the headsets. In addition, the timing of site descriptions along path were often given well past the site.

Yes, you can start the tour anytime you want. The buses arrive and depart at different intervals during the day from each stop.

If I buy the ticket from tripadvisor, must I start from Dongdaemun or I can start anywhere (eg. Myeongdong)

You can start anywhere. I hopped on at a mid-point. We bought tickets onboard. It might be less confusing if you already had tickets, but you can get them last minute.

Think it really depends on what interests you. We always use the hop on/hop off options to get oriented to the city and then we figure out what would be tough to get back to on our own and make a point of visiting there while we have transportation to the attraction sorted out. I thought it was an easy way to get around to the top sites. You could get to the same places with subway and city buses, but it would have taken a lot more effort to figure out. There is definitely enough if you stop a few times. If you just ride the route I think the loop was maybe 1.5 hours. We bought our tickets onboard.

Hi can I get on the bus at Hongik University??? How do I buy ticket. What is the price for adult and children??

I don't remember the exact price, but the standard route was less than $20 USD, maybe 18 or so. It made a stop about 5 minutes walk from Hanguk University. And may have had another stop on the southern route. I think there were 4 routes you could pay for seperately.
