Amina was great! She was sweet, very knowledgeable. Helped us with pictures, even helped wrap my hair. We learned a ton from her!!

Review:
There are several characteristics you expect from a guide - knowledgeable, personable, interesting - which you’ll find in Amina. Then there are characteristics you don’t expect - warmth, kindness, a sense of humor - which you’ll value immensely and will also find in Amina. She is, by far and away, the best guide we have had in any of our travels; and the blend of her extraordinary knowledge and her somehow more extraordinary personality, is why.
We spent two full days with Amina (we’d have done many more had we stayed in Cairo any longer!). On day one she went with us to the Giza Pyramids (arranging for a car to pick us up and drop us off at our hotel). She told us history and story both, weaving in the different theories of how the pyramids were built with the history of the place. She talked to us about the Sphinx and how our understanding of its creation has evolved. She told us it was probably not worth our time to go *inside* the pyramids (it wasn’t) but waited for us patiently when we defied her advice. She then went with us to the Egyptian museum, where she helped us understand both the major works in the museum and some of the more niche works of art. Without her explanations the museum would have been beyond interesting; with them it was fascinating.
On the second day of our trip Amina took us to the Coptic city, the Citadel, and the main Cairo market. In the former, she walked us through the history of Christianity in Egypt while she showed us the Hanging Church and the Coptic cemetery. She told us about St. George and his adoration by Egyptians, Christian and Muslim alike, and answered essentially every question we had from the meaning of “Coptic” to the reason behind certain pew engravings. At the Citadel she took us to the alabaster mosque and walked us through its rich history, from its inspiration on another mosque to its current use. And at the market she guided us away from the tourist traps and took us to a shop where all items were cheap, you didn’t have to haggle, and you got free water bottles and great coffee.
In every single one of our experiences with Amina, we felt we had an excellent guide (and an exceptional photographer!). By the end of our stay in Cairo, we also had a friend. We recommend, 1000x over, that you have her as your tour guide. Like us, we hope by the end you’ll also have found a human being who you’ll miss as you depart this amazing city.

Amina is absolutely the best your guide! She is incredibly knowledgeable (answers all the most random or deep questions), very kind and nice, and has made our Egypt experience the best possible. I can’t recommend her enough! Book all your tours with Amina now :D

Very informative tour at the new Cairo museum. Amina also brought us to local tea stalls to have a real authentic taste of Egyptian tea and shisha!

Had a great time with Amina. She was knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. She also had great tips for getting us past long lines! Would definitely recommend her tours.

Our guide was very passionate, knowledgeable, bubbly and informative. The shear size and trying to figure how the Pyramids & Sphinx were built was mind boggling.

Amina was our guide and Egyptologist for a tour across Giza where we saw the pyramids, the Sphinx, Sakkara and Memphis. She also took us to the a Papyrus museum and perfume shop. Amina was the perfect guide. We were thrilled to have a female guide as two young women travellers and she made us feel comfortable immediately. She is so friendly and knowledgeable. It is clear that she is highly respected, with locals approaching us to tell us how wonderful she is (we already knew that for ourselves!). We felt so lucky to have her telling us about the monuments and organising the tickets for us. We even stopped for ice cream when it got hot and she dropped us off falafels to our next accommodation after we had finished up our tour because I had mentioned I wanted some earlier that day!!
We cannot thank Amina enough for sharing her knowledge and experience about ancient Egypt with us. If anyone is considering a guide please reach out to her. She is incredible and you will be so thankful for her knowledge and kindness!

My favorite part was Citadel and Mohammed Ali Mosque. I liked also the area of Cairo with the old churches including the hanging one. Very impressive how deep was the old one. Also very interesting to see do many mummies in one place in the National museum of Egyption Civilization.

I already had a tour booked to see the pyramids long before arriving into Cairo, but the tour fell through and I ended up booking with Amina last minute. I am so grateful for this! I know I wouldn’t have been as happy if I wouldn’t have found Amina! Amina is one of the greatest people I met during my entire stay in Cairo/Giza. She is extremely kind and funny. The tour itself was amazing! Amina is extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic. She also knows exactly how to take perfect photos! I can’t thank her enough and would highly recommend!
