Had an amazing time. The coordination between hotels drivers tour guides airports train station everything was flawless. Could not have done it on our own. Saved so much headache and we were able to enjoy are trip. Ahmed Elgohary was our guide in Cairo and he was great! Very knowledgeable and we learned a lot! He knew where the high points were so we didn’t waste any time doing things we wouldn’t enjoy. He even helped us retrieve our lost luggage from the airport. Having a knowledgeable guide and car/driver is the best and only way to tour Egypt!

Egypt Tours Portal is truly amazing. With very little notice, they prepared a terrific bespoke experience for me and my son. We originally enquired about a five-day tour and changed it to eight days (two traveling, six on the ground in Egypt) -- which they were able to accommodate at a great price. We stayed in luxury hotels, enjoyed three delicious meals every day, and saw everything we'd ever dreamed of seeing and more. The best part was our phenomenal tour guide, Emy, who knows everything there is to know about the sites and who made it a fascinating experience even for my usually jaded teenage kid. Emy is incredibly smart, patient, friendly, and kind -- really the best tour guide I've ever had. The whole company is terrific. I've recommended them to all my friends.

My family of 4 flew into Aswan and did a 3 night cruise to Luxor and then went to Cairo as part of a trip with Egypt Portal Tours. Our guide was Hossam Rashwan who is an extremely knowledgeable Egyptologist who could describe the details of the hieroglyphs and all the Egyptian history at each amazing stop on the tour. He was personable and great at teaching us about Egypt now and throughout history. The many temples and tombs were unbelievable. The cruise was nice but the food could have been better.

Our guide, Mahmoud Nour, was nothing short of perfect. He was highly educated on the tours and mixed in his own perspectives into the information to keep us engaged. He also suggested great tours outside of the planned activities. Further, he was helpful in explaining the etiquette of bargaining and helped people on the tour get fair prices at the shops when we wanted to buy things.
I believe that our experience was exponentially better because of Mahmoud and I will recommend him to anyone that I know who is going to Egypt in the future.

The three guides namely Mohsen, Mehmoud and Ammal were very knowledgeable, kind, caring and excellent human beings. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. This is was a memorable experience we highly recommend this touring company.

As the owner of a travel company that escorts group trips across the world, I tell my clients and staff that a tour guide can make or break your experience.
Mahmoud Nour is the quintessential example of a tour guide that can make your experience. This is the second time using Mahmoud. Each time his knowledge, expertise and desire to ensure everyone has an amazing experience has elevated our trips to unparalleled levels.
He is, hands down, the best tour guide, not in Egypt, but, in my experience, the world. Mahmoud helped with every aspect of our trip …negotiating prices, protecting us from aggressive vendors, making calls to make sure everything was prepared upon our arrival and even taking orders and serving food and drinks to our group! Mahmoud commanded perfection from every restaurant, shop and sightseeing location we encountered.
One day I made a comment that it would be great if there was an Egyptian band playing for us as we made our way to at a restaurant we were visiting on the banks of the Nile that day. Yep, you guessed it …as we disembarked the boat and made our way to the restaurant, an Egyptian band was playing! Mind you I had just mentioned it THAT day.
Mahmoud has a way of making every single person in the group feel as though his only objective is to make sure that person enjoys her/his vacation …and although we had 37 people in our group, each and every one felt special and looked after.
His enthusiasm and delivery of Egyptian history is nothing short of phenomenal. While I realize Mahmoud presents the same tours over and over, each tour and delivery of Egyptian history, temples, etc., seems fresh and new as if it is his first.
I wish there was a Mahmoud Nour in every destination around the world I take my groups. Highly recommend. Mahmoud Nour is the BEST!

Submitting a new review because TripAdvisor doesn't let you update reviews...
We just returned from our week-long trip to Egypt, and what an incredible experience it was! Egypt Tours Portal did an excellent job coordinating our lodging, meals, transportation, and attractions at each location, which made the trip stress-free for us. I would certainly recommend ETP and the tour guides we had for anyone planning to visit Egypt!
We had an excellent lineup of tour guides as well. We met Hany Mubarak on our first day in Cairo, where he took us to see the famous Giza Pyramids and Great Sphinx. Hany was very knowledgeable and friendly, a great start to our Egypt adventure! Our visits to the Valley Temple, Saqqara Step Pyramid, a local papyrus shop, and a shopping market also lived up our high expectations. We paid extra to go inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu, which I thought was absolutely worth it, but some may find it claustrophobic or difficult to navigate when crowded.
At our next stop in Aswan our guide was Maggie, who was a great companion for us as we visited the Philae temple complex, the High Dam, and the Unfinished Obelisk. She also accompanied us on the long drive to Abu Simbel, which was absolutely worth it and honestly my favorite site we visited. Maggie provided great insight to both ancient Egyptian history as well as more recent history on the construction of the dams, the creation of Lake Nasser, and the immense effort to preserve and relocate temples like Abu Simbel.
We then journeyed to Luxor and met our tour guide Summer. We visited Karnak and Luxor temples on the first day, then spent our second day exploring tombs in the Valley of the Kings as well as the Temple of Hatshepsut. We paid extra to get access to the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses V/VI, on top of the three other tombs that were already included in our tour. Summer was an excellent guide through it all and made sure we were both well informed and well hydrated as we spent a lot of time under the sun!
For our last two days on the tour we had Essam Elsayed as our guide. He took us on an excellent tour through the Egyptian Museum, a couple old Coptic churches in Old Cairo, and the Khan El-khalili Bazaar. Essam also accompanied us on our day-trip to Alexandria the next day, where we visited the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, Pompey's Pillar, and Qaitbay Citadel. We had an excellent lunch at Fish Market overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Essam was extremely knowledgeable about all the locations we visited and also gave us a good lesson on recent Egyptian history and Islamic traditions.

My husband and I enjoyed a fabulous trip to Luxor, Aswan (skipped Abu Simbel), Cairo. It was truly very well-organized for us with nothing to have to manage once landing in Egypt Tours is really responsive, professional, helpful and friendly! It's truly a great value as well. I'm fortunate to have happened upon your info when searching for this trip.
Our tour guide in Luxor and Aswan was delightful - we enjoyed Nour throughout - his knowledge is boundless and is a nice person and very easy & accommodating. He was extremely communicative, informing us what the next day's itinerary would be and a little about what to expect. Nour is awesome!!
Our guide in Cairo was Bika - he took us on a several hour excursions to the great pyramids, Sphinx, and the Egyptian Museum and took us directly to the highlights as well as some of his personal favorite pieces in the museum. Again a super-knowledgeable gentleman with lots of great, historic information. Lastly he made sure we ate koshari at the most famous koshari Abou Tarek. Super to eat with and like the locals! And it was delicious.
My only complaint about our excursions is that there are too many built in sales presentations. From the papyrus factory, the alabaster factory, essential oils shop, then the spice shop. It's too many and while it's interesting and "there's no obligation to purchase anything" there really is the feeling that you owe the shops and presenters something after they teach you about their product and offer you a beverage. We spent hours between these places - way more than I wanted to and it took from our time to see more things or perhaps try local cuisine or simply enjoy the sights. I understand this is part of the package. It's too much for me - I'm someone who feels for the people of Egypt so I unnecessarily spent much more than I wanted to or needed to on stuff I'll likely never use. I would recommend limiting this to two stops maximum because you feel trapped at these spots. I'd rather make a donation and leave.
Our cruise was aboard the M/S Nile Premium and it met my expectations mostly, except for the dinner cuisine, which was disappointing. Our room was nice, the staff was really nice, welcoming, accommodating, etc.
Our last night was spent at the Novotel - Cairo Airport, and it was fine for the few hours we were there resting for 3am flt, but I wouldn't recommend that you put guests there claiming it is 5-star. It's 3 at the very most.
Overall we had a great trip - loved seeing as much as we could in Egypt! I highly recommend.

We spent hours between these places - way more than I wanted to and it took from our time to see more things or perhaps try local cuisine or simply enjoy the sights. I understand this is part of the package. It's too much for me - I'm someone who feels for the people of Egypt so I unnecessarily spent much more than I wanted to or needed to on stuff I'll likely never use. I would recommend limiting this to two stops maximum because you feel trapped at these spots. I'd rather make a donation and leave.
Our cruise was aboard the M/S Nile Premium and it met my expectations mostly, except for the dinner cuisine, which was disappointing. Our room was nice, the staff was really nice, welcoming, accommodating, etc.
Our last night was spent at the Novotel - Cairo Airport, and it was fine for the few hours we were there resting for 3am flt, but I wouldn't recommend that you put guests there claiming it is 5-star. It's 3 at the very most.
Overall we had a great trip - loved seeing as much as we could in Egypt! I highly recommend.

Egypt has been a destination on my bucket list since I was a child and I finally had a chance to visit in February. Since the start ETP was very upfront with all costs and expectations. I was able to book a mostly private tour (for me and my wife) and was met at the airport and dropped off to the hotel to rest on the first day.
We were met by Hany the next morning and had a great time with our tour of the great pyramid, saqqara, camel ride, lunch, and shopping. Hany is very knowledgeable, accommodating, and never made it seem too rushed (we had a flight the same day to Aswan at 6pm). We also had Hany as our tour guide in Cairo on our last day in Egypt and it was another itinerary packed, adventurous day.
We were met at Aswan by Bebo.
He is funny, informative and had us trying to read hieroglyphics on our second day.
Bebo gave us a lot of historical facts and stories of the gods that the ancient Egyptians believed in and kept us entertained the entire time.
I would love to come back to Egypt again with the entire family.
The only thing I would change is the domestic flight time that we had from Hurghada to Cairo.
There is no need to arrive to Cairo at 615am.
Also, I’m not sure if it would have been possible but getting up around 3am in Aswan to get to Abu Simbel-it feels like it could have maybe started at 5am we still would have been ok?
Other than that, it was an amazing trip!!
