- Kjell Sigve G0 bidragHimmelskefeds plass og MurenHen hyggelig dame, motok oss I et øsende regn, vi startet turen I den forbutte by og fikk vite mye om historien. Siden der regnet voldsomt så var vi I tvil om vi skulle oppsøke muren, men bestemte oss heldigvis for å gjøre det. Guiden var også glad for det, for hun hadde faktisk aldrig vert oppe på muren I så kraftig regnvær før, så hun ble også veldig "giret" og enda meir fortellersyk. We had an amazing 2 day private tour with driver in Beijing. Seeing tiananmen square, forbidden city, temple of heaven, Great Wall and summer palace. We had such a great time. Jenny was just the perfect guide, so professional, informative, kind, thoughtful and interested to hear about us and our travels. She was so kind in speaking mandarin with my daughter who is learning at University. It was so lovely to see her chat in Mandarin. Jenny was just so lovely, very encouraging and teaching her a lot. This really made our trip. The drivers were really friendly and very careful with how they drive. 100% recommend this tour and hope you get Jenny as the guide. We will definitely book with Catherine Lu tours again.

A genuinely good tour!
I was in China for a business trip and decided to add a few days at the end for sightseeing. I was traveling solo, so it was important to me to have a guide to help navigate all the tourist attractions.
For this tour, I had a different guide and driver for each day- all of them excellent!
On day one, my guide Adam picked me up at my hotel for the city center attractions, including Tiananmen square, the forbidden city, and the temple of heaven. Adam was super knowledgeable and explained the history of each site from ancient times all the way to the present day. He really gave me so much info, it was like having my own personal documentary narrator!
The second day, I was greeted by my guide James who took me to the summer palace and to the great wall. James was also very informative and had a great eye for pictures. It was a very hot day with a lot of walking. James made sure I had plenty of rest and water throughout the entire tour. I was heading home this day, so they directly dropped me off at the airport.
I should also mention that I am a vegetarian, and both guides had no trouble accommodating my diet. The food on both days was very delicious! I would really recommend this tour for anyone, it made seeing Beijing so easy and enjoyable!

A truly well-organized tour that left us very satisfied. Despite having only 2 days available, the two guides allowed us to see the main attractions as agreed, giving us time to take photos and learn more.
Day 1: Tour with Gloria, a super energetic and fun guide.
Day 2: Tour with Steven, very professional, kind, and well-mannered. He chose an excellent restaurant for us and even gave us some free time to explore on our own. Very skilled!
Excellent driver service.
I would recommend Catherine Lu Tours to anyone who wants to enjoy China in a short time but with comfort.

The best way to see the highlights of Beijing in a short period.
My guide Nancy was great, she tailored my itinerary to my needs & made sure I was able to get a vegetarian lunch. She spoke excellent English & was easy to chat with. The car & driver were great also and kept me supplied with cold water. The itinerary worked well, they're was a good amount of time at each place & it was planned well so we didn't spend too much time in the car. The tickets were reordered so there was no time wasted at ticket booths.
Big shout to Jenna on the customer services team too, she made the whole booking process super easy.

Had a wonderful 2 day tour of Beijing and Great Wall/summer palace with Catherine Lu Tours’ Ms Yan and driver Mr Lang and Mr Justin! Appreciated their extensive knowledge and especially how friendly and personable they are! It was nice to have everything included as it was much easier when we had just arrived. Enjoyed discussing Chinese culture, food and lifestyle during these amazing 2 days with lovely people! Thank you so much for welcoming us!

We had the greatest adventure with Linda as our tour guide. She was exceptional. We went with our little kids and she was so accommodating for us. She found us great food and took us the the greatest places to explore.

Catherine was so prompt to reply when I contacted her many months before our trip, and helped to plan our activities. Our guide , Justin , speaks very good English, very knowledgeable , caring , fun and we really enjoyed Mutianyu, Simatai Great Wall at night , Gubei Watertown hotel was excellent and Jinshanling was outstanding. Our driver was also excellent. We had delicious and plentiful lunches at local restaurants as well. We highly recommend !

I’m extremely glad that I chose Catherine Lu Tours because:-
1. Our Tour Guide Nancy, was not only fluent in English, but was extremely helpful(she actually paid 380CNY on my behalf first without hesitation when I was still unable to figure out how to pay using Wexinpay and I just met her 5 minutes in!), she was also extremely friendly, knowledgeable of the historical aspects of the tour, easy going and not calculative with her time. We felt that she really went the extra mile to make us feel comfortable & charitable especially when we made a mistake and took a wrong turn and she had to walk a long way to find us which ironically in the first place wasn’t part of the itinerary! She also taught us some tips and tricks in certain areas of the trip to so that we could make the most of our trip as well which we truly appreciate!
We can tell she enjoys her job and truly cares for those in her charge! Hope I get her again next time!
2. Our Driver, Master Li, who was very friendly, helpful as well as pushed his chair so far to the front to the point it was less comfortable for him just so I have more legroom and this was done without my asking. Water was always provided along with charging cables for our phones. Car was also immaculate. There were times he quickly turned back when I left something behind and he did it with a smile. He was also more often than not already there with the door already opened waiting for me. He was also incredibly accommodating when I wanted to be dropped off elsewhere instead of the hotel. His attention to detail in many aspects is admirable.
3. Catherine tours was also extremely helpful with replying to my many messages and made a lot of compromises when I had to reschedule because my flight was delayed. Made very good recommendations for food and activities even though this tour company doesn’t benefit from it.
Also impeccable with my tickets for every venue.
The itinerary in this tour is excellent and usually we don’t enjoy the food on tour companies but we really enjoyed the restaurants they brought us to including a famous dumpling shop that locals eat at which we won’t find without this tour!
They are completely trustworthy and value for money! I truly highly recommend this tour company without whom I might not have as nice a trip! I will definitely be looking them up again when I come with my whole family!

This tour operator was able to have us skip the big lines at a few places if I recall it was the forbidden city and possibly also the summer palace. We were in the same line as everyone else for the wall. She had us leave early for that tour so the line would be less. We waited maybe thirty minutes there.

I am interested in this tour on a Monday/Tuesday but believe some of the Day 1 attractions are closed on a Monday. Would it be possible to swap Day 1/ Day 2 around so that we can visit the attractions when they are all open?

You’re right that museums were closed on Monday (which makes that a busy day at the wall). I believe they will modify as you request. You should give notice however as I understand some of the tickets they buy in advance.

We would like to book this tour for October 13 and October 14. We are transferring from the Beijing Bulgari to the Beijing Ritz Carlton on October 13. Could the driver pick us up at the Bulgari and take us to check in at the Ritz Carlton and then start the tour?

We're looking for a 2 day tour of a Beijing. This is our 1st time there. Gow long do your tours last each day, do they include pick up directly from our hotel, and will the guide be fully fluent in English?

That pick you up and drop you off at your hotel. Our guide spoke excellent English. I think we were dropped off at about 4 or 5 pm.

Hi,
We have a stop over from Tuesday 19th of November till Thursday 21 of November our night flight is at 20.30. On your tour can you corporate the terracotta army? And surgegest a suitable hotel, a nice one as it's our honeymoon. Can you drop us off at the airport when Thursday is finished?

Hi Jonathan,
Teracotta army is far from Beijing it’s Xian. Flights are required and will need to see what times those flights are go squeeze it all in. Ask the tour company if this is possible
